REPAIR OF RIGID SURFACE OF RUNWAY INCLUDING OTHER CONNECTED ITEMS IN TECHNICAL AREA AT AF STATION BHISIANA

Demolition of cement concrete/PQC of existing pavements (un-reinforced) of any description and in any position of runway or pavements and removing demolished material from site to a distance exceeding 1.50 Km and not exceeding 5 Km and depositing where, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for providing n exc 20 mm thick clean dry sand cushioning, spreading, levelling and in flooring etc, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for cement concrete work pavement quality concrete (PQC) of Flexural strenght 40Kg/Sqcm in field using min 400 Kg of cement/Cum or as per design mix whichever is higher including mixing of non circular polyester fiber @ 0.25% of weight of cement including necessary form work for sides of concrete slabs for fair finish, complete all as specified and as directed. Note: (i) Construction joints, shall be measured and paid separately under respective items. (ii) No price adjustment shall be applicable for variation in excess quantity of cement content is used/approved in execution of work under this item. (iii) Polyester non-circular fiber as secondary reinforcement mixed in concrete shall be measured and paid separately as 'Supply only' under the relevant item of this schedule.

Supply only non-circular polyester triangle fiber 6/12mm long design for meeting point of 240-260 0C as secondary reinforcement (Recron-3s from Reliance Industries Ltd), complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L 400 micron polythene film as per IS-2508, black colour, laid over sand layer including all necessary cutting, overlaps not less than 300mm and waste, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: (i) The rates for laps shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate shall not be measured separately. (ii) Sand layer shall be measured and paid separately under serial item no. 2 above

M&L forming 10mm wide and 25 mm deep construction joints filled with polyurethane joint sealant compounds using mechanical means to a minimum depth of 10mm and priming the sides, provision of closed cell polyethylene back up rod 12 mm dia and minimum and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surfaces and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied as required, complete all as specified and as directed.
