| 1.05 | Providing and Applying Distemper Paint with work includes providing and applying dry distemper or oil-bound distemper on internal wall surfaces, in required shade, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The material shall be of approved brand and manufactured in accordance with relevant quality requirements. Only pre-approved shade and material shall be used.
Before application, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned to remove dust, dirt, oil, grease, organic growth, loose particles, old flaking paint and any other foreign matter. All cracks, dents and surface undulations shall be repaired using approved wall putty or plaster of Paris, and the surface shall be made smooth using sandpaper. The surface shall be properly dried and cleaned before application.
One coat of approved primer shall be applied over the prepared surface. Primer shall be alkali-resistant where needed and suitable for the distemper system used. After the primer completely dries, the surface shall be sanded again lightly to ensure an even and smooth finish.
Two or more coats of approved quality distemper shall then be applied uniformly with brush or roller to obtain even shade and uniform finish. The material shall be mixed and diluted only as per manufacturer’s specifications. The coating shall be free from streaks, patches, brush marks, pinholes, or colour variation. Additional coats, if found necessary to achieve a uniform finish, shall be applied by the contractor at no extra cost.
The work shall include providing all materials, labour, tools, scaffolding, masking and protection to flooring, furniture, windows, doors, switch plates and other fixtures to avoid stains or damage. Stains and splashes, if any, shall be cleaned immediately. After completion of work, the site shall be cleaned and handed over in proper condition.
Measurement for payment shall be taken in square metres of the finished painted surface. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of cleaning, surface preparation, putty, primer, multiple coats of distemper, scaffolding, labour, tools and all required incidentals to deliver a complete job.

| 1.06 | Providing and Applying Acrylic Washable Emulsion Paint with work includes providing and applying acrylic washable interior emulsion paint on internal plastered wall surfaces, in required shade, complete as directed by the Engineer‐in‐Charge. The paint shall be of approved brand, having low VOC, anti‐fungal properties, washable and suitable for high-traffic areas such as schools, offices, hospitals, and institutional buildings. Shade shall be pre-approved before application.
Before application, the surface shall be thoroughly cleaned to remove dust, dirt, grease, soot, laitance, algae, loose paint and any other foreign matter. Surface cracks, dents, pores and undulations shall be repaired with approved wall putty or plaster of Paris. The surface shall then be rubbed and smoothened by sandpapering to obtain an even and uniform surface. All loose dust shall be removed afterwards.
One coat of approved primer compatible with acrylic washable emulsion system shall be applied after proper surface preparation. The primer must be allowed to dry fully before applying the next coat. After the primer dries, the surface shall again be lightly sanded wherever necessary to ensure smooth finish.
Two or more coats of approved acrylic washable emulsion paint shall then be applied using brush or roller as per manufacturer’s recommended dilution. The coats shall be applied uniformly to achieve even colour shade and smooth matt, soft sheen or satin finish as specified. The finished work shall be free from streaks, chalking, patchiness, pinholes, loose particles or brush marks. Any additional coats required to achieve uniform shade and finish shall be done by the contractor at no extra cost.
The rate quoted shall include cost of all materials, tools, primer, emulsion paint, putty, labour, scaffolding and necessary protective covering to furniture, fixtures, floors, windows, switchboards and adjacent surfaces. Any stains, splashes or paint marks shall be cleaned immediately and the area shall be handed over in neat condition after completion of work.
Measurement shall be made in square metres of the finished painted surface. The rate shall include complete work including cleaning, surface preparation, primer, putty, and applying multiple coats of acrylic washable emulsion paint with all incidentals to complete the job as directed.
The rate shall be inclusive of providing bamboo scaffolding

| 1.07 | Providing and Applying Lustre Paint with work includes providing and applying lustre finish paint on internal wall surfaces in required shade, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The material shall be oil-modified or synthetic enamel-based washable lustre paint, with smooth sheen finish. The paint shall conform to Indian Standards IS: 101 (for testing of paint) and IS: 2932 (for enamel paints) or equivalent specifications. The brand and shade shall be approved before execution.
The surface shall be properly cleaned by removing loose paint, dust, dirt, grease, algae and foreign matter. All cracks, dents and surface irregularities shall be filled using approved wall putty or plaster of Paris to make the surface even and smooth. The finished surface shall be prepared by rubbing with sandpaper and cleaned.
The work shall include applying one coat of approved primer suitable for lustre paint system. After the primer dries, the surface shall again be smoothened by rubbing with sandpaper. A synthetic enamel undercoat or base coat shall then be applied as per the manufacturer’s recommendation. Finally, two coats of approved quality lustre paint shall be applied uniformly using brush or roller to achieve a smooth, even, washable finish free from brush marks, patches or streaks. Additional coats, if required for uniformity, shall be carried out by the contractor at no extra cost.
All materials, labour, scaffolding, tools, masking tapes and necessary protection to electrical fixtures, flooring, furniture, windows and adjoining surfaces shall be included in the rate. After completion, stains shall be cleaned and the area handed over in proper condition.
Measurement shall be taken in square metres of finished painted surface. The rate shall be inclusive of entire work including cleaning, surface preparation, primer, putty, undercoat, lustre paint, labour and all incidentals required to complete the work..

| 1.08 | ALUMINIUM WORKS - Providing material and labour for fixing in position frames, shutter for any type of aluminium work for any type of door, window, partition, made out of any type of aluminium sections of approved make having minimum 50 micron pure polyester powder coating of approved shade, texture & colour of approved make for all floors, all levels, all heights, all shapes, all sizes including cutting, bending, crimping, fabricating in best workmanship manner etc as per the drawing, specification and as directed by Architect or Engineer-in-Charge.
Contractor shall prepare shop drawing based on concept drawing and get approved from the consultants before procurement of material. All loose material shall be approved. Mockup of one/two window shall be executed as per approved shop drawing with all hardware. Work shall carried out as per the approved shop drawings, approved mock-up and approved sample. Actual weight of installed Aluminium sections (for using fabrication without considering any wastage) shall only be measured and shall be considered for the payment. Glazing shall be paid as seperate item. Contractor shall provide guarantee for stability, water tightness etc for 12 months after defects liability period. Rate shall be inclusive of providing aluminium sections, cutting, fabrication, errection and fixing to the best workmanship manner, including 1) Sheet metal screws and casted solid aluminum corner cleats fixed with external byttins with a spring for rapid and secure joint assembly for casement and sliding shutter and frame; 2) Glazing clips for receiving infill panel; 3) Best quality wool pile where ever shutter touches the frame and compatible microwave cured EPDM rubber; 4) Dash Anchor fasteners of HILTI HRDUGT or equivalent for fixing the frame assembly to the RCC or masonry surfaces. Minimum 1 anchor fastener shall be used for every 600 mm length of section for stability of frame. 5) 10mm GI tie rod for connecting vertical stile at top and bottom for aluminum door shutter and 4mm thick solid aluminium corner cleat of full thickness of section for connecting style and horizontal rails; 6) providing and fixing packing (rough ground) in full periphery/ at every 600mm c/c with average 6 mm thick PVC spacer/ compact sheet of width (equal to section width less 30mm for backer rod and sealant); 7) Filling the gap between wall and frame on both sides (outside and inside) with polyethylene baker rod of avg. 10 mm thickness of approved make and color and then sealing the remaining gap with neutral grade G/M (Glazed & Metal) weather silicon sealant of approved make and color. 8) Termite treated seasoned teak wood as infill material to installe hardware in door shutter and frame as and when required, etc as per directions of Engineer in charge Complete.

| 1.09 | Providing and fixing Stainless Steel Mosquito Mesh for sliding windows, including all materials, accessories, tools, labour, transportation, complete as per specifications mentioned below:
The mosquito mesh shall be made from Stainless Steel of Grade SS 304, woven type, with a wire diameter between 0.30 mm and 0.36 mm. The mesh opening shall be 16×16 or 18×16 per square inch, ensuring proper ventilation and high visibility with minimum 60% airflow. The mesh shall be corrosion-resistant, rust-free, and suitable for use in humid, dusty, and coastal environments. Finish shall be in natural stainless steel.
The mesh shall be fixed in a separate aluminium sliding frame if required, matching the existing window sections. Suitable aluminium sections with provision for rubber beading shall be used. The mesh shall be held firmly using EPDM or neoprene gasket to ensure tight and uniform fixing, without sagging or wrinkling. All edges of the mesh must be properly crimped and trimmed to avoid sharp edges.
Sliding arrangement shall operate smoothly on rollers if a separate shutter is provided. Anti-rattle and anti-dust brush strips shall be provided at the required edges. The design shall allow easy cleaning of the mesh from inside without dismantling the frame.
The installed mesh shall prevent the entry of insects, mosquitoes, and dust. It shall withstand routine cleaning through wiping or brushing, without deforming, loosening, or corroding. Mesh must maintain shape and visibility throughout its service life. Minimum lifespan shall be 10 years without rust.
Installation shall be carried out with proper alignment, ensuring the frame is level and the mesh tension is uniform. No gap greater than 1 mm shall be allowed at any side.
Payment shall be made on the basis of the actual finished area covered by the mesh, measured in square metres, based on clear opening dimensions.
The contractor shall submit a product data sheet confirming SS 304 material, along with a physical sample of minimum 100×100 mm for approval before execution.
A minimum one-year warranty shall be provided against corrosion, sagging, manufacturing defects, and installation faults.
