SOIL INVESTIGATION IN R/O PROVISION OF ROOM FOR GAS GODOWN AT AIR FORCE STATION DINJAN UNDER GE (AF) MOHANBARI

Carrying out soil investigation as given below: - Boring through sand/ clay/ silt strata with 150mm pipe from ground level to 10 Mtr depth:- (a) Surface investigation:- (i) Grain size analysis, specific gravity, unit wiight and natural moisture content of soil. (ii) Liquid limit, plastic limit & swelling index. (iii) Consolidated tests for consolidation properties. (iv) Shear strength tests for shear strength parameters. (v) Chemical tests for soluble chloride and sulphate based in local information and experiences. (vi) Field tests as per Appx 'C' of IS 1982. (vii) Plate load tests at recommended depth of foundation. (viii) CBR values (Soaked & unsoaked) & K Value for strata. (ix) Depth of water table if found in bore holes shall to be reported to GE. (b) The report to include clearly the following parameters: - (i) Layout of trial pits & bore holes on proposed site plan. (ii) Record of boring as per Appx 'D' of IS 1892. (iii) Soil/ Rock properties as per detailed exploration (Table 3 of IS 1892). (iv) Soil properties based on field tests. (v) Estimation of safe bearing pressure based on safe bearing capacity as per shear criteria and settlement criteria for rectangualr foundation. It also included detailed calculation of SBC. Note: In case low bearing capacity recommendation may include bearing capacity calculation SBC & Settlement calculation for rart foundation. (vi) Recommendation for SBC and type of foundation. (vii) Recommendation for pile with pile capacity in case weaker strata is encountered. (viii) Other relevant recommendation for foundation and improvement of soil if necessary. (ix) Recommendation of existing soil for backfill purpose. Notes:- All the reports/ results will be got vetted from any of the IIT's or Govt Engineering Colleg's after approval from GE.

Preparation of structural design and architectural drawing of Provision of room for Gas Godown at Dinjan under GE (AF) Mohanbari room size Gas Godown ante room 10m x 8.5m, 3.35m clear height alongwith toilets 2.50 x 2.70m with ceiling ht 2.70. Note:- (a) Architectural drawing, structural design & drawing incl design calculation folder shall be vetted by IIT/ Govt Engg College in original. (b) Bidder shall have to submit 5 copies of drawing in A3 size and soft copy in CD. (c) Completion duration 30 (thirty) from the day issue of job order.
