4. The Defects Liability Period of EPU flooring shall be 03 years. A sum equal to 5% (Five Percent) of the amount of EPU Flooring in the BOQ will be held back out of the Contractor’s Final Bill as Security Deposit for the Guarantee Period of 03 years which shall be refunded to him after expiry of this period. Alternatively the contractor may give a FDR of equivalent amount from any Nationalized Bank pledged in favour of GE.
Cutting of 12mm wide expansion joints upto full depth of concrete slab (150 mm) (intial cut of 3 mm upto full depth cut by diamond cutter machine within 08 to 24 hours of casting) and filled with pre-formed compressible filler board (HD-100) of bottom 125 mm depth, provision of closed cell polythene backup rod 12 mm dia one coats of primer on vertical side of joints and sealing the joint (Top 10-12 mm) with single component polyurethane sealant conforming to requirement of BS-5212 and EN 141875-2003 for Hydrolysis/Water Resistance Test and applying masking tape on edge at joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied.

Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (earth plate not less than 2.25 m deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level connected to and including earth lead of GI Strip 32 x 6mm size by means of steel bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers test points made of GI strip 40 x 8 mm, 10 cm long, PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate), in pit, angle iron 25 x 25 x 3 mm frame work with precast RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) cover reinforced with 8 mm dia TMT bars @ 150 mm C/C both ways and 12 mm dia MS fabricated handle, light grade GI watering pipe 20 mm bore with funnel, wire mesh and light grade GI protection pipe 40 mm bore upto 7.5 m length for drawing in earth lead, salt, charcoal etc. including excavation and earth work in any type of soil, removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m complete all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of MES schedule 2009 Part-I Including connecting and testing on completion all as specified and as directed.
Earthing complete with galvanized mild steel earth plate electrode size 600mm x 600mm x 6mm thick buried directly in ground (preferably in vertical position) earth pit not less than 2.25 meter below normal ground level with top edge of the earth plate not less 3 meter (BGL) connected to galvanized iron earth lead wire 4mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nut and washer of galvanized iron including PCC pit in RCC 1:2:4 type B-1, precast RCC cover with suitable handle, excavation and earth work in any type of soil, 20mm bore “medium grade” galvanized iron water tubing fixed with cast iron funnel and wire mesh and 15mm bore “light grade” galvanized iron protection pipe for earth lead wire up to 5m length, charcoal, common salt, complete all as shown in EP No 3 of SSR 2009 Part-I, connected to test point complete, all as specified and testing on completion.
