Earthwork in open / Surface Excavation not exceeding 300mm in depth but exceeding 1.5m in width as well as 10 sq.m on plan in all types of soil, mixture of gravel and disintegrated rock, hard stiff clay including grading and levelling neatly by breaking clods, disposal of excavated earth upto 50m lead & lift upto 1.5m, (Disposed soil to be levelled by breaking clods, if any and neatly dressed) etc., all complete as per specifications.

Providing and laying Cement Concrete 1 : 4 : 8 using 20mm and downgraded size hard granite broken stone in trenches, plinth protection etc. including necessary form work, ramming, compaction, levelling, mechanical mixing, curing, dewatering, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying, placing in position and removing Formwork for all insitu concrete works including sloped roof and arches etc., as per drawings and specifications, all centering, scaffolding complete (Measurement for the formwork shall be the area of forms in contact with concrete surfaces).

Providing and casting insitu Reinforced Cement Concrete 1:1.5:3 using machine crushed hard broken granite stone of nominal size 20mm including mechanical mixing, transporting, placing at all lifts, vibrating, consolidation, curing, finishing smooth all exposed faces, for all insitu concrete items, etc. as per drawings and specifications. Note : The rate quoted shall be exclusive of reinforcement and formwork which will be paid for separately under relevant items.

Providing, hoisting and fixing in position of 75mm thickness of precast slabs in cement concrete 1 : 2 : 4 using hard broken stones of maximum size 20mm finished smooth of various sizes and patterns including necessary formwork and moulds, mechanical mixing, finishing the exposed surface, curing, fixing at all levels, grouting with CM / Cement grout wherever required, etc., all complete excluding cost of reinforcement which will be measured separately under relevant item as per specifications and as direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing, cutting, bending, placing and binding steel reinforcement using TMT bars of Fe-500D grade in all reinforced cement concrete works including cutting, bending, fixing, tieing in position with 1.6 mm dia soft drawn annealed binding wire, cost of cover blocks in C.M 1:2, etc., complete as per specifications and drawings. Important Note: The required quantity of steel reinforcement as mentioned in the schedule should be procured by the contractor only of SAIL, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (VIZAG), TATA Steel & JINDAL from authorised dealers which shall conform to IS: 1786 (Latest Edition).

Providing and laying Random Rubble masonry in Cement mortar 1 : 6 (1 cement: 6 coarse sand) in foundation and plinth using hard granite stones obtained from approved quarry including bond stones of 2 Nos/Sq.m at 1.5 to 1.8 mtrs apart, raking out joints, curing, providing PVC pipe weep holes , etc., all as per standard specification. (Note: PVC pipes will be supplied by the Department at free of cost)

Providing sunk or flush pointing over existing RR Masonry in CM 1:3 above plinth for compound wall including removing the damaged pointing/growth of vegetation, cleaning the surface and removing dead mortar/soil to receive pointing, finishing with float coat of neat cement, curing, scaffolding etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by EIC.

Providing and laying brick masonry in Cement Mortar 1:6 with well burnt chamber bricks / FALG Bricks of approved quality in all shapes and sizes including scaffolding, curing, raking out joints, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and constructing 110mm thick brick work in Cement Mortar 1:4 (1 Cement : 4 Coarse sand) for partition / Kerb walls using well burnt chamber bricks / FALG Bricks of approved quality including scaffolding, curing etc., complete all as per specifications.

Providing and laying Indian Patent Stone flooring of 20mm thick with cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 Cement: 2 Coarse sand: 4 graded stone aggregate) finished with a floating coat of neat Cement using 20/10mm and below size hard broken stones including laying in panels, cement slurry, consolidation, curing, rubbing the surfaces smooth etc., all complete as per specification.

Plastering with Cement Mortar 1:5, 12mm thick for brickwork / Concrete surfaces at all lifts including scaffolding, curing and forming grooves wherever necessary all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in­charge. [Note: 6mm premium glass fibre of make Dugar & Co or Recron shall be mixed with Cement @ 60 gms of glass fibre per 50kgs of cement.]

Supplying laying and jointing of RCC hume pipes with collars of class NP-2 as per IS specifications including aligning to proper level and line as directed at site, jointing with Cement Mortar 1:2, curing, etc., complete as per specification.

Providing and laying Dry stone pitching of 230mm thick for revetment including stacking of stones, relaying to the required grade and slope, packing and filling the intersects, watering, compaction, Flush / sunk pointing the joints with CM 1:3, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying factory made precast Kerb stone of M-20 grade cement concrete of size 100mm thick & 500mm ± 50mm depth with suitable interlocking arrangement, top chamfering of size 50x70 mm or as approved size including excavation, conveying, laying the precast kerb blocks in position to the required line, level and curvature, making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5mm), jointing / pointing the joints with cement mortar 1:3, refilling the sides, compacting, making drainage opening wherever required, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed. (Note: Length of finished Kerb edging shall be measured for payment and Precast kerb stone shall be approved by Engineer-in-charge.)

Laying old cement concrete interlocking paver blocks of any design/ shape laid in required line, level, curvature, colour and pattern over and including taking out existing CC interlocking paver blocks from footpath/ central verge, removal of rubbish, providing 50 mm thick compacted bed of sand, filling the joints with fine sand etc. all complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. (Note: Old CC paver blocks shall be supplied by the Department free of cost)

Cutting the existing Bituminous road for pipeline / cable trenches including restoring to its original condition using the retrieved and supply of extra quantities of materials, etc., as per specifications and as directed.

Dismantling Reinforced cement concrete at all lifts including clearing and depositing the same with a distance of 100 metres as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Dismantling Brick work in cement mortar at all lifts including clearing and depositing the debris within a distance of 100 metres all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Dismantling of old plastering / skirting including raking out the joints, cleaning the surface for plastering, disposal of debris within a initial lead of 50m, etc., all complete.

Disposal of surplus excavated earth / Debris by collecting, loading, transporting by mechanical means and unloading them at places as shown by the Department within a lead specified below and levelling, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: 1) The rates in respect of this item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of rock from the corresponding stack / truck measurements. 2) The earth shall be dumped well inside the dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.
