| 1.00NOTE: 1. Evaluation will be done by excluding the Provisional sum and GST Amount 2. GST is to be quoted @ rate of 18% 3. The bid price shall be net of Input Tax credit availed by the bidder i.e., base price shall not have any GST component in it. In effect, clause 171 of GST, that is, the Anti-Profiteering Rule shall be adhered to. A self-declaration from the bidder on clause 171, shall be attached with the invoice. The output GST paid by the bidder shall be reimbursed by CHENNAI METRO RAIL LIMITED on the production of the documentary evidence Preamble to Bill of Quantities: 1. The Bill of Quantities should be read in conjunction with the conditions given in the General conditions of the contract and Special conditions of the contract and the rates should be quoted accordingly. 2. The quoted rate should be inclusive of all incidental and enabling charges such as scaffolding, man lift, ladder, roping System, lighting arrangements, etc., to carry out the works. No additional charge will be paid other than measurement. 3. Rates should be quoted considering the restricted working hours since the contractor shall be allowed to carry out the works only during non-revenue hours if required. Works should be planned as per the block schedule finalised by the CMRL from time to time. 4. Quantities given in the Bill Of quantities are indicative only. All items shall be paid only against the actual quantities executed at the site. 5. The Value of Variation is limited to +/- 25 %. 6. The Quoted rates should be inclusive of all design & drawing, supply fabrication and installation at the site. Nothing shall be claimed extra in this regard. 7. Schedule 1: 1) Grouting (Working in points at Stations/Tunnels)
1a) Cementitious grout or equivalent (all-inclusive) The injection is to be done by fixing the nozzles at random and thoroughly to the structure and especially to all types of joints, Drill holes up to half of the depth of the concrete and fix GI nozzles at c/c as per manufacturer requirement from the interior surface of walls/tunnel structures/station building walls with the help of quick setting chemical/cementitious compound. Inject cement slurry enriched with Non-Shrink grouting compound through the fixed with manufacturer-recommended pressure with the help of a hand-operated or mechanically grouting pump. The grouting material for injection grouting shall be as follows: 1) Cement - As recommended by the manufacturer (2) Expanding grout admixture for non-shrink purpose (3) Water Cement ratio as recommended by weight. The work shall be completed in all respects per manufacturers' recommendations/specifications. (The rate shall include procurement and supply of required materials, packers, transportation to site, storage, lifting, shifting, safety, providing PPEs to the workers/staff, working at height with A frame ladders, barricading of working area, drilling and fixing of nozzles, necessary working platform, application of grouting material, removal of nozzles, finishing good of concrete surface as per the satisfaction of Engineer In charge (EIC) with all tools and tackles. The rate also includes necessary movable scaffolding upto 6m height/ A frame ladders /stagings/platforms where ever required) Note: If the Scaffolding height is more than 6m, Scaffolding rate will be paid seprately
1b) Epoxy grout or equivalent (all-inclusive) Fixing GI/MS nozzles of at least 6 mm dia with epoxy adhesive. The crack mouth has to be sealed with the same adhesive. The flexible holes which are already fixed to nozzles are opened and fixed to the injection gun, and low viscous 2 or 3-component injection resin (for moist or wet concrete) of approved manufacturers shall be injected into the cracks. The mixed material shall be consumed within the pot life of the material. After grouting operations, the nozzle shall be cured to smoothen the concrete surface. The work shall be completed in all respects per manufacturers' recommendations/specifications. (The rate shall include procurement and supply of required materials, transportation to site, storage, lifting, shifting, safety, providing PPEs to the workers/staff, working at height with A-frame ladders, barricading of working area, drilling and fixing of nozzles, necessary working platform, surface preparation and application of grouting material, removal of nozzles, finishing good of concrete surface as per the satisfaction of Engineer In charge (EIC) with all tools and tackles. The rate also includes necessary movable scaffolding up to 6m height/ A-frame ladders/stagings/platforms wherever required) Note: If the Scaffolding height is more than 6m, it will paid separately
1c) PU grout or equivalent (all-inclusive) Drilling and fixing nozzles of at least 6 mm diameter for a depth of half the member thickness at the manufacturer's recommended centre-to-centre distance or as instructed by the Engineer In charge with the help of cementitious quick fix product. Cleaning the cracks by injecting high-pressure air through the nozzles. Pressure grouting with low-viscosity epoxy injection resin with the help of an injection gun or similar equipment at a steady pressure as recommended by the manufacturers (SIKA/FOSROC/MYK/PIDILITE/BASF or Equivalent) shall be injected into the cracks. The work shall be completed in all respects per manufacturer recommendations/specifications. (The rate shall include procurement and supply of required materials, transportation to site, storage, lifting, shifting, safety, providing PPEs to the workers/staff, working at height with A frame ladders, barricading of working area, drilling and fixing of nozzles, necessary working platform, surface preparation and application of grouting material, removal of nozzles, finishing good of concrete surface as per the satisfaction of Engineer In charge (EIC) with all tools and tackles. The rate also includes necessary movable scaffolding upto 6m height/ A frame ladders/stagings/platforms where ever required) Note: If the Scaffolding height is more than 6m, it will paid seprately
Rectification of segmental Cracks @ Tunnel Segments by Using Low Viscous hydrophobic Resin Of Con Injekt Flex: Drilling and fixing nozzles of at least 14 mm dia of mechanical Packers with non-return arrangements for a depth of half the thickness of the Concrete surface as per the manufacturer's recommendation on both sides of the crack in a zigzag manner @ 45 degrees with the help of cementitious quick fix product, Inject the low viscosity Flexible elastomeric injection resin with help of injection gun or similar equipment of grouting pump at a steady pressure as recommended by the manufacturer's Con Injekt Flex of Confix India shall be injected into it. The work shall be completed in all respects in line with manufacturers' recommendations/specifications. by using a Double or Single-component pneumatically operated injection pump at variable pressure as per the requirement. The material should have the following technical properties: Density-1.1 kg/m3: Tensile strength->4N/mm2: Viscosity : 95Mpas: Expansion ratio with water: 1.04% MIXING RATIO as per the Manufacture TDS, grouting or pumping the injection material (The rate shall include making V-groove @ crack trace, Drilling, nozzle fixing & other procurement and supply of required materials, transportation to site, storage, safety, providing PPE's to the workers/staff, surface preparation and application of grouting material, removal of nozzles, finishing good of concrete surface as per satisfaction of the Engineer-In-charge (EIC) with all tools and tackles.
For Rectification of Concrete Repairs Works by using repair mortar for structural repair.
For Micro-concreting Work : Surface Preparation : A) Dismantling the deteriorated concrete by chipping mechanical means on the surface, B) Supply and Apply rust remover of Con rustoff with reinforcement coating to remove the rust substance from the corroded area, C) Zinc primer of Con zinkprime is applied over the entire surface of the rod to prevent rust further, D) A bonding agent of TOP BOND EP will be applied over the existing concrete surface to improve bond strength and chemical resistance between the new concrete & old concrete, that is adhesive for cement bond coats, mortars and concrete. As per the manufacturer’s recommendations & including all the materials, tools, and labours, including a proper arrangement to complete the work and as per drawings and specifications & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and applying Non-shrinkage trowel able fibre reinforced thixotropic repair mortar for structural repair of Top Crete 80 provides smooth level surfaces with highly consistent repair mortar for special purpose concrete and masonry repairs as per the required average thickness & which has following properties Density - 2150 kg/m3: Compressive strength- 78 mpa @ 28 days: Tensile strength - 5.3 mpa @ 28 days: Flexural strength- 9 Mpa @ 28 days: as per manufacturer’s recommendations, the including all the materials, tools, labours, complete including the proper arrangement of safety & as per drawings and specifications & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Waterproofing Works on Terrace by using Double or Single component Technique:
For Terrace waterproofing Spray Applied Double component waterproofing Work: For Terrace/ Roof waterproofing Treatment: 1) Surface-Preparation. Cleaning the surface to ensure no dirt, dust and other loose particles. Grinding the surface. If cracks and pin holes appear, they will be treated by using (cement sand 1:4, SBR- 2ltr /bag of cement) and after Fixing fillets in all sharp corners polymer-modified mortar cooving will be done with the same proportion. 2) Primer Coat: Supply and application of fast drying high-performance Moisture insensitive epoxy primer TOP PRIME ER 40 on the waterproofing area both horizontal and vertical at a consumption of 500gms/sq.m by lamb wall roller. The primer shall form an effective bond on the substrate. 3) Waterproofing Coat: Providing & applying 100% Solids content, 2 components, solvent-free, liquid hot applied elastomeric seamless hybrid polyurethane Membrane, TOP HYPUR 140, by special automatic plural component high-pressure spray machine with a total consumption of min 2.2 kg/m2 to form a total system DFT of min 2 mm thickness, having Tensile strength > 10 Mpa, Elongation 450%, Bond strength > 2.8 Mpa, crack bridging > 4 mm & Shore A Hardness > 75 tear strength 20n/mm, puncture resistance 450N and has a excellent root resistant property. The membrane shall be applied on horizontal surfaces and verticals up to a certain height of the parapet wall.
For Terrace waterproofing by Hand Applied waterproofing Work of Single component: 1) Surface-Preparation. Cleaning the surface to ensure no dirt, dust and other loose particles. Grinding the surface. If cracks and pin holes appear, they will be treated by using (cement sand 1:4, SBR- 2ltr /bag of cement) and after Fixing fillets in all sharp corners polymer-modified mortar cooving will be done with the same proportion. 2)Primer Coat: Supply and application of fast drying high-performance Moisture insensitive epoxy primer TOP PRIME ER 40 on the waterproofing area both horizontal and vertical at the consumption of 500gms/sq.m on prepared surface, by lamb wall roller. The primer shall form an effective bond on the substrate. 3) Waterproofing Coat: Providing and applying fast curing, single component, 100% solid content., elastomeric, polyurethane membrane system, a specially designed, single component, that cures by reaction with atmospheric moisture to form tough but flexible waterproofing membrane using TOP SEAL ROOF 104 with hand applied to achieved of 1.5mm of Dry film thickness. The Technical properties of the Elongation: 550, Non-Volatile : >95%, Tensile strength: >15 mpa, Density: 838 kg/m3 & charges including cleaning, grinding, coving, fixing fillets, tools, and tackles, labour all complete etc.
Waterproofing Works on Sunken by using Cementitious coating Method:
For Cementitious coating work: Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, and oil laitance present on the surface if any, Grind the surface in such a way as to prepare the area for waterproofing treatment. After completing the grinding work, Coving will be done. Treating all the honeycombs. Fixing fillets in all sharp corners using Polymer Modified Mortar cement and sand in the ratio of 1:4:2 Parts by weight. (Cement- 1bag, Sand- 4bag, and Top SBR - 2ltr). After drying, applying the waterproofing coating of 2 mm thickness of coverage 3.6 Kg/ Sq.m, using the material Top Seal 100 Two Component High Flexible Cementitious Elastomeric Waterproofing, Elongation >150%, Density 1940 kg/m³, Temperature +5°C to +30°C.
TAM Grouting (From SI.No. 15 to SI.No. 19 are sub-items of SI.No. 14)

Supply, Fabrication and erection of TAM pipes and sleeves including cost of pipes, rubber sleeves end caps and coupler & wastages
Setting of packers from bottom to top and placing every stage using inflatable packer
Performance of grouting including supply of grouting materials (cement)
Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after .The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineerin-charge .The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose .The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. Item will be Certified only for Maintenance Work carried out above 5 Mtr.
