MANNING AND OPERATION OF WATER SUPPLY AND SEWAGE INSTALLATIONS AND COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE TO SWIMMING POOL AT MADGAON AND PONDA UNDER GE PANAJI GOA.

Manning and operation of water supply installations in two shifts per day by providing one Fitter General Mechanic (FGM) per each shift (each shift of eight hours duration) including maintenance and operation of connected items such as sluice valve / Gate valve connected to suction and delivery of the pump sets, rising main, all connected valves of different pumps and distribution line within the premises of the pump house including electrical items such as main switches, star delta / DOL starters, voltmeters, ammeters etc. in the panel board and chlorination of water etc. at pump house Nos. 1, 2 and 3 at Madgaon consisting of 08 Nos of centrifugal pump sets and associated electric devices complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Manning and operation of water supply installations in two shift per day by providing one Fitter General Mechanic (FGM) per shift (each shift of eight hours duration) including maintenance and operation of connected items such as sluice valve/ Gate valve connected to suction and delivery of the pump sets, rising main, including chlorination of water and electrical items such as main switches star delta/DOL starters, voltmeters, ammeters etc. in the panel board at main pump house near PWD Office at ASC supply depot and booster pump house at ASC supply depot, Madgaon consisting of 04 Nos of centrifugal pump sets and associated electric devices complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Manning and operation of pump sets connected to the swimming pool at Madgaon by providing one Fitter General Mechanic (FGM) in one shift per day (shift of eight hours duration) consisting 03 Nos of pump sets (02 Nos functioning at a time) including operation of filtration plant, connected valves, electrical items such as main switches star delta/ DOL starters, voltmeters, ammeters etc. in the panel board and adding required quantity of chemicals in swimming pool all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Chemical will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item of Schedule ‘A’.

Manning and operation of sewage pump installations in two shift per day by providing one Fitter General Mechanic (FGM) per shift (each shift of eight hours duration) including maintenance and operation of connected items such as sluice valve/ Gate valve connected to suction and delivery of the sewage pump sets, rising main and electrical items such as main switches star delta/ DOL starters, voltmeters, ammeters etc. in the panel board at sewage pump house No.1 & 2 at Madgaon consisting of non clogging type sewage pump sets 04Nos and 02Nos respectively complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

NOTES APPLICABLE TO SERIAL ITEM No. 1.00 TO 5.00

(a) Chemicals in pump house shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item of schedule 'A'.

(b) Grease, gland packing for valves/ pumps, bolts, nuts washers, rubber packing etc. required for the routine maintenance will be provided by the contractor.

(c) Log sheets/ books for all the plants to be provided by the contractor and maintained by the operator. Weekly off shall be given to the employed staff and alternate arrangement shall be made by the contractor at no extra cost to the Govt.

(d) Net protection to swimming pool well will be provided by the contractor to avoid outside dust into the well.

(e) Pump will be operated as directed by Engineer-in-Charge or his representative at the respective station.

(f) The operator shall be responsible for adding chemicals and releasing water from the above mentioned pump house to the users at Madgaon and Ponda areas and maintaining clean and sterile water at the swimming pool at Madgaon area all as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

(g) The operator shall be responsible for operating DG set connected to pump houses and will be in proper uniform.

(h) The contractor will be responsible for the safe custody of the installation including maintain the surrounding area of installation by grass cutting and trimming of trees etc.

Cleaning of swimming pool bottom with suction sweeper including side walls and steel ladders with nylon wire brush at Madgaon complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

NOTES APPLICABLE TO ITEM No. 6.00

(a) Suction sweeper will be provided and maintained by the contractor at his own cost. Contractor has to provide large size brushes and other required equipment all as directed.

(b) The rate quoted shall be deemed to include the charges for divers for cleaning the side wall of the swimming pool once every month and for maintaining clean and sterile water to the satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge.

Cleaning the bottom and side walls of the balancing tank of swimming pool at Madgaon by scrubbing with lime water and removing the mud/ dirt/ lime collected at the bottom of the balancing tank and painting walls with two coats of synthetic enamel paint white colour internally and externally complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and add the following chemicals to fresh water and swimming pool water to maintain water quality and protection from fungi and bacteria at Madgaon.

(a) Alum ferric compound of approved quality.

(b) Copper sulphate.

(c) Calcium Hypochlorite 65% to 75% available chlorine must contain appropriate quantities of dispersant/ corrosion inhibitors to prevent encrustation/ scaling in distribution system. Make: AQUAFIT of Shree Royalseema Hi-Strength Hypo Ltd.

NOTES APPLICABLE FOR ITEM No. 8.00

(a) The above chemicals shall be added in the swimming pool water on required basis depending upon the quality of water as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge or his representative.

(b) Prior approval shall be obtained before adding the chemicals and also with respect to the quality of the chemicals.

(c) Chlorine test kit will be provided by the contractor and test results will be entered in the register on daily basis

(d) Purchase Voucher for serial item No. 8 above will be produced by the contractor to Engr-in-charge for onward submission to GE at the time of release of payment. .
