Surface Preparation – SA 2.5 — SURFACE PREPARATION: POWER TOOL CLEANING, CONFORMING : 1.VENDOR HAS TO CARRY OUT THE SURFACE PREPARATION AS PER THE STANDARD GIVEN IN INSULATION SPECIFICATIONS. 2.THE SURFACE HAS TO BE CAREFULLY PREPARED BEFORE APPLICATION OF THE PAINT/INSULATION. TOTALLY REMOVE ANY LOOSE OR DAMAGED COATING (I.E. COAL TAR ENAMEL, BITUMEN OR ANY OTHER PAINT, ETC.), RUST, MOISTURE, GREASE AND ANY OTHER FOREIGN MATTER. TO REMOVE OIL, GREASE, ETC. AN ORGANIC SOLVENT MAY BE USED LIKE PETROLEUM SPIRIT OR ETHANOL. AS PER ATTACHED SPECIFICATION WHEREVER REQUIRED SURFACE SHOULD BE CLEANED TO STANDARD ST3/HAND TOOL CLEANING. 3.ALL TOOLS AND TACKLES, MACHINES, MANPOWER AND ANY CONSUMABLES/NON-CONSUMABLES FOR SURFACE PREPARATION ARE IN VENDOR’S SCOPE.

Surface Preparation - ST — THE SURFACE PREPARATION SHALL BE DONE BY THE PARTY AT HIS COST BY MAKING FULL USE OF ALL MECHANICAL TOOLS BY MANUAL CHIPPING USING NON-SPARKING TOOLS/BRASS HAMMER ETC AND WIRE BRUSHING AND CLEANING WITH SAND PAPER TO REMOVE LOOSE RUST AND SCALE TO ST.2 OF SWEDISH STANDARD SIS 05 5900.

Epoxy Inorganic zinc Silicate 65 — Supply and apply of epoxy zinc silicate iron. DFT: 65 to 70micron. Colour as mentioned in visual identity chapter of the tender document. Cost shall include procurement, transportation, loading/unloading, shifting, applying, DFT measurement, etc., all complete. Vendor to produce calibration certificate for DFT instrument which is going to be used at site. Vendor to submit any other relevant documents that may be asked by the concerned officer.

Epoxy Zinc rich 50 micron — Supply and apply of Epoxy Zinc rich. DFT: 50 micron. Colour as mentioned in visual identity chapter of the tender document. Cost shall include procurement, transportation, loading/unloading, shifting, applying, DFT measurement, etc., all complete. Vendor to produce calibration certificate for DFT instrument which is going to be used at site. Vendor to submit any other relevant documents that may be asked by the concerned officer.

Epoxy MIO: 75 micron — Supply and apply of epoxy MIO. DFT: 75 micron. Colour as mentioned in visual identity chapter of the tender document. Cost shall include procurement, transportation, loading/unloading, shifting, applying, DFT measurement, etc., all complete. Vendor to produce calibration certificate for DFT instrument which is going to be used at site. Vendor to submit any other relevant documents that may be asked by the concerned officer.

Epoxy glass flake: 200 Micron — Supply and apply of epoxy glass flake. DFT: 200 micron. Colour as mentioned in visual identity chapter of the tender document. Cost shall include procurement, transportation, loading/unloading, shifting, applying, DFT measurement, etc., all complete. Vendor to produce calibration certificate for DFT instrument which is going to be used at site. Vendor to submit any other relevant documents that may be asked by the concerned officer.

Aliphatic polyurethane: 50 to — Supply and apply of Aliphatic polyurethane. DFT: 50 to 60micron. Colour as mentioned in visual identity chapter of the tender document. Cost shall include procurement, transportation, loading/unloading, shifting, applying, DFT measurement, etc., all complete. Vendor to produce calibration certificate for DFT instrument which is going to be used at site. Vendor to submit any other relevant documents that may be asked by the concerned officer.

HBTL 78, 180T200M EPI-C — Supply and apply of Epi-coat (HBTL 78 or equivalent, 180T200M EPI-C for tank internal surfaces). DFT: 180 to 200micron. Cost shall include procurement, transportation, loading/unloading, shifting, applying, DFT measurement, etc., all complete. Vendor to produce calibration certificate for DFT instrument which is going to be used at site. Vendor to submit any other relevant documents that may be asked by the concerned officer.

COAL TAR PAINT: upto — Supply and apply of coal tar. Total DFT: 200micron. Cost shall include procurement, transportation, loading/unloading, shifting, applying, DFT measurement, etc., all complete. Vendor to produce calibration certificate for DFT instrument which is going to be used at site. Vendor to submit any other relevant documents that may be asked by the concerned officer.

Wash/ Etch (two coats): 16 to — Supply and apply of Wash/Etch. No. of coats: 2; Total DFT: 16 to 20micron. Colour as mentioned in visual identity chapter of the tender document. Cost shall include procurement, transportation, loading/unloading, shifting, applying, DFT measurement, etc., all comp lete. Vendor to produce calibration certificate for DFT instrument which is going to be used at site. Vendor to submit any other relevant documents that may be asked by the concerned officer.
