PAVEMENT

Earthwork in excavation in soil n hilly area by mechanical means including cutting and trimming of sides slopes and disposing of excavated earth with a lift upto 1.5m and a lead upto 20m as per Technical Specification clause 1603.1

Excavation in ordinary rock using mechanical means including loading in a truck and carrying of excavated material to embankment site with a lift upto 1.5 m and lead upto 20 m as per Clause 1603.2.

SHOULDER:Construction of subgrade and earthen shoulders with approved material obtained from way cutting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of Table 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 303.1.

GRANULAR SUB-BASE Granular Sub-base with Well Graded Material (Table 400.1) (A)By Mix in Place Method Construction of granular sub-base by providing well graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing bymix in place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per Technical Specification Clause 401. (i) For Grading I Material.

WBM 3 FOR BASE COURSE ( 75 mm thick) : Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with smooth wheel roller 80-100 kN in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screening/binding materials to fillup the intersices of coarse aggregate,watering and compacting to the required density Grading 3 as per Technical Specification Clause 405.(a)By Manual means.

CELL FILLED CONCRETE( 100 mm thick). Construction of plastic cell filled cement concrete pavement, with M30 gradeconcrete, thickness as per design, over a prepared sub base, with 53 gradeOrdinary Portland Cement (OPC) or any other type as per Clause 1501.2.4 M30 (Grade). Coarse and fine aggregates conforming to IS :2386, maximum in a concrete mixer of not less then 0.2 cum capacity and appropeiate weigh batcher using approved mix design(As perIRC 44-2088, laid in approved fixed side formwork (steel channe, wedges, steel plates including levelling the fomwork as per drawing),spreading the concrete with sholvels, rakes, conpacted using screed and plate vibrators and finished in continuous operation,Concrete should have a slump of 30-50MM with use of approved plasticizer if requiredFormwork of plastic cells should be made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), sheets having thickness ranging from 0.20-0.22MMwith sides 150MMx150MM and height as fixed by engineer in charge. Provision and fixing of traffic signs for limited period at suitable locations in construction zone comprising of warning zone, approach transition zone, working zone and terminal transition zone with a minimum distance of 2-3 m from the edge of the carriageway. The bottom edge of the lowest sign plate to be not less than 2 m above the road level, fixed on 600 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm angle iron post, founded and installed as per approved design and drawings, removed and disposed of after completion of construction work, all as per IRC:SP:55-2001.
