REPAIR/MAINTENACE/RESURFACING OF ROADS AND ROAD FURNITURE AT NOFRA AREA UNDER AGE B/R-I UNDER GE (NW) NOFRA, COLABA

Preparing surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing cacked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the eleaned surface with gunny bags or by using mechanical blower to remove all loose dirt on unsurfaced black top surface complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat on existing black top surfaces with bitumen primer using paving bitumen @ 5Kg/X Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated hot pressure mechanism complete all as specified and directed..

Material & Labour for Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness by using paving bitumen VG-30 grade with 6 % binder content by weight of total mix , laying with mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient by using 8 to 10 tonne capacity power roller complete all as specified and directed. Note- i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshall mix design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 ( Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111: 2009, The adjustment in rate on MINUS side variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs 60.00 per Kg. No claim whatsoever shall be made for adjustment in plus side.

Material and labour for premix bituminous macadam, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) paving bitumen of grade VG-30, binder content of grade VG-30, 4% by weight of total mix complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge( as per design mix all as per IRC specification).

Repair to pot holes any depth n.exc 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened and graded road metal watering and well ramming including supply of road metal complete all as specified.

Taking down retro reflective raised pavment markers (cat eyes ) all as specified and directed

Supply and fixing retro reflective raised pavement markers (cat eye) double sided lenses reflector white/red/yellow polycarbonate / ABS plastic body including epoxy adhesive & drilling etc. and necessary fixing hardware of standard size, shape/colour, body & lens all as specified and directed. Make :As approved

S&F Solar cat eye/road stud having 3LEDs of Colours Red/Amber/Green to each side( Total 06 Nos) housed in a tough pressure die casted aluminium alloy of size 125X125x25mm with built in stem of suitable length to be fixed with epoxy and having High capacity Ni-Cd Rechargeable Battery with a backup of upto 12 hours, well protected in side under tough unbreakable transparent sheet. complete all as specified and directed (Make-As approved)

Material and labour for mastic asphalt 40mm thick with 10/20 grade bitumen including producing the same at computerised batch mix plant transporting the same to site by means of mastic cookers laying the same with mastic paver and including all necessary tools labour & barricading spreading of aggregates as antiskid measures by means over newly laid mastic asphalt complete all as specified and directed .

S&F Speed breaker rumble strips dual directional made of ABS material size 425 X 50 X 500 mm. Two highly reflective reflectors moulded in PMMA material arc welded with ABS plate through ultrasonic welding process and then fixed on to the speed breaker so that dust and water cannot touch reflectors inside and thus it maintains its reflectivity for a long-time. complete all as specified and directed (Make-As approved)

Surface Excavation in Hard / dense soil n.exc (not exceeding) 30Cm depth and averaging 15 cm depth and getting out excavated material etc. complete and including ramming of bottom of excavated surface all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated materials (soils) outside MD land complete all as specified. Note: The place of disposal shall be find out by the contractor complete all as specified and directed.

M & L Hardcore of gauge not exc. 63 mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exc.15 cm thick of broken stone or boulders , watered and rammed to a true surface etc. complete all as specified and directed

M&L for cement concrete type D-2 , (1:4:8), using 40 mm graded stone aggregate, 100mm thick as in sub base all as specified and directed.

M&L for Providing and laying 60 mm thick factory made cement concrete interlocking paver block of M-35 grade confirming to IS 15658-2006 made by block making machine with strong vibratory compaction, of approved colour, laid in required colour and pattern over and including 30 mm thick compacted bed of course sand, filling the joints with fine sand etc. all as specified and directed.

S & F Manufacturing, supplying and fixing retro reflective cautionary/warning sign boards of equilateral triangular shape having each sides of 900 mm with support length of 3650 mm and made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting confirming to type-IV of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, message (bi-lingual),symbols and boarders etc.as per IRC, 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure confirming to class- 2 of ASTM- D- 4956-01and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm C/C to back support frame of MS angle iron of size 25X25X 3 mm along with theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos, MS angles of size 35X35X5mm to a vertical post made up to MS Tee section ISMT 50 X50XX6 mm welded with base plate of size 100X100X5 mm at the bottom end and including making holes in pipes angle flats, providing and fixing MS message plate of required size, steel work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint of required shade and of approved brand & manufacture over priming coat of zinc chromate yellow primer (vertical MS -Tee support to be painted in the black and white colour) . Back side of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint over and including appropriate priming coat including all leads and lift etc. Complete all as per specified and directed.
