REPAIR / MAINT TO DAMAGED ROOF/CHAJJA/FACIA PROJECTIONS OF BLDGS, PLINTH PROTECTION, CERTAIN PARKING SHEDS, WALL CRACKS, ATT, BROKEN STAIRCASE, SANITARY FITTING, OTHER MISC B/R WORKS AT AF STATION SULU

M&L for Repair to ends of chajjas/parapets by removing old concrete,loose material and cleaning of reinforcement and finishing the surface in cement mortar 1:3 mixed with water proofing compound finished even and making good with existing finishes complete all as specified and directed. Note: Rate includes scaffolding upto 7m height.Water proofing compound shall be measured and paid seperately.

M&L for Providing and injecting chemical emulsion for Post Constructional Antitermite Treatment along external wall where the apron is not provided using chemical emulsion at the rate of 7.5 litres per sq.m of the vertical surface of the sub-structure to a depth of 300mm including excavating channel along the wall and rodding etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing and injecting along the external wall below concrete or masonry apron using chemical emulsion @ 2.25 litres per linear metre including drilling and plugging holes etc in apron complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Antitermite treatment of soil under existing floors using emulsion @ one litre per hole, 300mm apart including drilling and plugging 12mm dia holes with cement mortar 1:2 (1 cement : coarse sand) to match the existing floors complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Antitermite treatment of voids in masonry using chemical emulsion one litre per hole, at 300mm intervals including drilling holes at 45 degree and replugging them with cement mortar 1:2 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand) to match the existing floor complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Antitermite treatment at points of contact of wood work by chemical emulsion (in oil or kerosene based solution) @ 0.5 litre/hole by drilling 6mm dia holes at a downward angle of 45 degree at 150mm centre to centre and sealing complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Roof treatment of the sunken floor slab comprises of the following specifications and procedures complete all as specified and directed as the following:- Make :- Dr Fixit/ M/s Sika india Pvt Ltd/ STP Ltd/ M/s Fosroc Chemicals (a) Demolition of cement concrete filling of any description in sunken portion in toilet and removing debris outside MoD land. (b) Cleaning the sunken/ lowered portion of RCC slab surfaces (including vertical total depth plus skirting height) of floors by wire brush, chisel out any mortar sticking to the surface and brooming completely. (c) PCC 1:5:10 type E2, complete all as specified and directed. (d) PCC 1:2:4 type B0, 40mm thick using 12.5mm graded aggregate as in padding conc to achieve proper slope including cutting holes in bricks or RCC wall for spout, complete all as specified and directed. (e) Plaster the bottom and sides up to bottom of the skirting with minimum 20mm thick cement mortar 1:4 mixed with integral water proofing compound 3% by wt of cement consumed as per manufacturers specification including rounding of corners and junctions sloping towards spout.Quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for WPC. Fill it with water and check dampness and seepage. Where dampness/ seepage is noticed, nozzles shall be fixed and grouting carried out. (f) All junctions points of side wall where CI/ GI pipes are passing through shall be sealed with epoxy putty. (g) After drying putty, wash the slab and sides of sunken portion with water and make it clear and clean. (h) M&L for applying two coats of polymer modified cementious water proof coating as per manufactures instruction to bottom and vertical sides up to finished floor level +100mm height. The thickness of two layers shall be 1mm. When the second layer is still sticky, coarse sand spray shall be carried for the vertical and bottom surface of the sunken portion complete all as specified and directed.

Notes applicable for item No 7.00 :- Test the water proofed area (ponding test) by filling water for at least 72 hours and tested for leakage, seepage and to the entire satisfaction of GE. Test shall be done in presence of rep of Engineer-in-Charge and record for each sunken slab shall be maintained. The treatment shall be carried out by authorised applicators of chemicals. Cost of testing shall be included in the rates quoted above.

M&L for Water proofing treatment of existing roofs as per details given below after complete removal of existing water proofing treatment and expose of top surface of RCC slab of any thickness, any type by stripping out old tar felt over roofs, parapets, chimney stacks etc laid horizontally or vertically including taking out layer of cement plaster etc and cleaning the surface with water and using wire brush including removing debris to outside the MOD land complete all as specified and as directed :-

Notes applicable for Item No 9.00:- (a) Surface should be free from any loose paint, dust or grease. Remove all existing bitumen coatings completely by using intense wire brushing, high speed water jet & vacuum cleaner for thorough cleaning of the surface to avoid ‘Peeling off’ problems. (b) All cracks at corner joints, channels and parapets should be properly treated. For filling cracks upto 3mm crack seal material of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical to be used. Bigger cracks, damaged portions & hollow areas must be repaired with polymer modified cement mortar. (c) Apply a coat of self priming smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical with 33% dilution with water using brush/roller on newly plastered surface after curing as per IS-456 and allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours (dilution & forced coverage requirement strictly as per manufacturer’s instructions). (d) After the primed surface has dried, apply first coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same primed surface & allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours. (e) Prepare for apply 2nd coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same surface. The temp to be maintained 25 to 35° C through out the all above application work. (f) In case of severe dampness an additional coat of damp proof materials to be applied.
