M&L for attending the complaints of non functional and preventive maintenance of storage type electric water heater (Geyser) of capacity 25/50 litres of any make comprising of the following tasks at different locations with technician team comprising one electrician and one helper to attend the complaint regularly. Technician team shall collect the complaint from AGE E/M No. 1 office regularly and feed back of the complaint shall be submitted on same day after rectification of complaint

Inspection of geyser after opening bottom cover plate.

Examine water tightness of storage tank.

Carry out operation of all stop cocks, pressure reducing valves, etc. to ensure free movement of the working parts.

Replace washers and glands of defective taps to ensure water tightness smooth functioning.

Inspect vent pipes and remove blockage obstruction if any.

Check and correct earth continuity of electrical items.

Check and correct temperature setting of thermostats and test its functioning.

Checking and adjustments of pressure reducing valves.

Checking of dead weight type high pressure release valve (PRV) by removing dead weight protection cleaning the seat and ensuring that the waste hole shall not be blocked / chocked.

Testing of Geysers after repairs/maintenance in all respect for proper functioning.

Taking down storage geyser of any capacity after disconnecting electrical connection from existing socket, removing the bolts and nuts from wall and disconnected inlet and outlet water connection for repairing and replacing the unservicealbe parts and assemble the same after making geysers serviceable, cleaning dust including connecting flexible 3 core cable as required, painting the geyser with white colour synthetic enamel paint by spraying and filling cavaties with filler including filling glass wool as heat resistance material of required quantity etc and refixing the geyser in original location complete all as spcified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: Spare parts as required for geyser shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items as 'Supply Only' .

Taking down electric water heater (geyser) of 50 litres capacity from existing position disconnect all inlet and outlet water connection for leakage complaint and replacing the rusted, leakage inner water tank with new one made out of stainless steel tank and fixing in outer shell with proper filling of glass wool as heat resistance material, to required quantity, refixing the apparatus plate, geyser element, thermostat etc and also refixing the geyser in original location complete all as specified and directed.

Note : (i) Spare parts of solar heating system shall be measured and paid separetaly under relevant item (ii) contractor shall submitt written warranty for matarials / spares provied by him for entire defacts laibility period.
