PROVN OF DG SET 40 KVA CAPACITY FOR MDC AGRA UNDER GE (EAST) AGRA

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Diesel Generating Set of 40 kVA / 32 kW capacity, complete with in-built AMF panel, suitable for prime power operation at NTP conditions, 3-phase, 4-wire, 415 volts, 50 Hz, 1500 RPM, with a power factor of 0.8 lagging, specially designed to comply with the latest applicable MoEF&CC/CPCB emission and noise pollution norms, including acoustic enclosure in CRCA sheet, powder coating to ensure long life in all weather conditions, achieving a maximum noise level of 75 dBA at 1 metre at 75% load under free-field conditions. The acoustic enclosure shall be of a type approved by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), as applicable, and shall conform to the latest applicable CPCB Stage-IV+ norms, complete all as specified and directed including all the following specifications :- (a) Diesel Engine: Recommended model of manufacturer as per makes mentioned in PS. Electric-start, four-stroke, multi-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine, developing the required BHP for continuous rating at 1500 RPM, conforming to the latest relevant and prevailing IS/BS/ISO standards and suitable for operation with 10% overload capacity for 1 hour in any 12-hour duration. The engine shall be complete with standard accessories, including flywheel, close-coupling arrangement, radiator, cooling fan, coolant expansion tank, air cleaner, fuel pump, hand priming pump, suitable class governor, lubricating oil filter, residential silencer, starter motor, battery charging alternator, lubricating oil pump, fuel filter, overspeed trip/shut-down device, microprocessor-based engine instrument panel with built-in safety and protection features, suitable for indicating/monitoring parameters such as lubricating oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, RPM, running hours, etc., battery charging ammeter and self-starting switch with key, complete all as per applicable standards, manufacturer's recommendations and as specififed Description of item contd....

Item No.1 (Contd…) (b) Alternator : Recommended model of manufacturer as per makes mentioned in PS, of continuous rating as specified, brushless type, complete with automatic voltage regulator (AVR), SPDP, suitable for 415 V, 3-phase, 4-wire, 50 Hz supply at 0.8 power factor lagging and 1500 RPM. The alternator shall be self-excited and self-regulated, foot-mounted, suitable for operation under tropical climatic conditions and conforming to the latest relevant and prevailing IS/BS/ISO standards. The alternator shall have voltage regulation within ±1% from no-load to full-load. (c) Base Frame : Sturdy, fabricated mild steel (MS) base frame, suitably designed and adequately reinforced for mounting the complete DG set, including engine and alternator, with suitable anti-vibration mounting arrangements, complete all as specified and directed. (d) Fuel Tank : Daily service fuel tank complete with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system, suitably sized for a minimum of 8 hours of operation at the rated load. The fuel tank shall be fabricated from mild steel (MS) sheet of suitable thickness and shall be complete with air vent, fuel inlet and outlet connections, low-level and full-level float valves, fuel level indicator with graduated scale clearly visible from outside and drain arrangement, (e) Battery Set: 1 or 2 Nos. of 12 V batteries, as required by the DG set manufacturer, heavy-duty, duly charged and suitable for reliable engine starting, complete with battery leads, terminals, termination lugs. (f) Miscellaneous: Complete set of anti-vibration mounting (AVM) pads, first filling of engine lubricating oil, fuel piping with necessary fittings, valves and flanges, exhaust piping with suitable flexible bellows, coupling, necessary hardware, fasteners and other accessories and fittings required for installation and satisfactory operation of the DG set. Item No.1 (Contd…) (g) Acoustic Enclosure: Acoustic enclosure fabricated from high-quality CRCA steel sheets of suitable thickness, duly treated against corrosion and finished with suitable protective coating, and internally lined with high-quality sound-absorbing and fire-retardant acoustic material. The enclosure shall be designed and fabricated in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and shall comply strictly with the latest applicable CPCB Stage-IV+ emission and noise-control requirements and relevant IS standards. (h) Panel: Standard control panel complete with suitably rated ACB/MCCB/MCB and all necessary protective devices for alternator protection, along with microprocessor-based AMF-ready controller, having digital display and monitoring of all required parameters, including AC/DC voltage, current, kW, kWh, RPM, frequency (Hz), power factor and other essential engine/alternator parameters, complete with necessary indications, alarms, controls, metering, wiring and accessories, as recommended by the manufacturer and complete as specified. ((j) Site Testing: Load testing of the DG set at site using an artificial resistive load/water load bank shall be carried out for a total period of 12 hours. The load shall be applied gradually as follows: 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% load for one hour each, followed by 110% load for one hour, thereafter 100% load for four hours, and subsequently the load shall be reduced gradually to 75%, 50% and 25%, maintaining each stage for one hour, complete as specified and directed.. (k) Certificates: Original test certificates for the engine, alternator and battery, along with the site load-test certificate/report, shall be submitted. A copy of the valid CPCB-IV+ certification/compliance certificate shall also be submitted along with the DG set. Description of item Contd..

Item No.1 (Contd…) (l) Drawings: Foundation drawing, general arrangement (GA) drawing of the DG set and control panel drawings, including necessary dimensions, clearances and installation details, shall be submitted to GE for approval before commencement of installation. (m) Foundation: PCC foundation of suitable size and strength for the DG set, including necessary embedded plates, anchor bolts, supports and other associated works, as recommended by the manufacturer and approved by GE, complete as specified and directed. (n) AMF Panel : As per recommendation of manufacture. (Indoor / Outdoor installation can be specified as per site requirement) 1. AMF CONTROL PANEL: Design, supply, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of weatherproof AMF control panel, fabricated from minimum 2 mm thick CRCA sheet steel, suitably treated for corrosion protection and finished with powder coating. The panel shall be complete with suitably rated TPN aluminium busbars of adequate current-carrying capacity and short-circuit fault withstand capacity, insulated with heat-shrinkable, colour-coded sleeves and supported on suitable DMC/SMC-type busbar supports. Alternatively, suitable high-conductivity copper busbars may be provided. The panel shall be designed and manufactured in accordance with the applicable standards including all accessories listed below, control wiring etc complete all as specified (i) 100 A, 4-pole, suitably rated MCB/MCCB – 02 Nos. (ii) Microprocessor-based Auto Generator Controller (GCU/AMF controller), suitable for automatic mains failure detection, DG start/stop, mains/DG changeover and associated control functions – 01 No. Description item Contd....

Item No.1 (Contd…) (iii) 100 A, 4-pole, suitably rated AC contactor – 02 Nos. (iv) Multifunction digital meter, auxiliary contactors/relays, battery charger, phase selector switch, control fuses/MCBs, necessary internal control wiring, terminal blocks and cable glands, selector switches for AUTO/MANUAL operation, indication for Mains ON, DG ON, R-Y-B phases, Load on Mains and Load on DG, DG running/available and other necessary status indications, suitable for the 40 kVA DG set. The complete panel shall be factory fabricated, wired, tested and supplied ready for installation and operation, complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) The DG set shall be supplied complete as specified above, including all accessories, components, fittings and other items not specifically mentioned herein but required for its proper, safe and satisfactory operation, as recommended by the manufacturer and conforming to the latest relevant and prevailing IS/IEC standards, complete all as specified and directed. (ii) The contractor shall arrange water load, all apparatus and instruments, cables, labour, diesel & engine oil of specified grade, etc as recommended by the manufacturer, whichever is required for testing without any extra cost to the department. The quoted rates shall deemed to include all this aspects. `

Supply, laying, jointing, testing & commissioning LT XLPE insulated screened, PVC bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, heavy duty electric cable with aluminium stranded conductor, 1100 Volts, 50 sqmm, 3.5 core (ISI marked), laid in trenches / ducts, through pipe, under floors or road, along poles etc, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Excavation, earth work & protection pipe shall be measured & paid for separately.

Excavation in trenches in soft / loose soil n. exc. 1.5 mtr wide and not exc. 1.5 mtr deep and getting out including forming bottom surface for laying of cable complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc. 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Removing surplus soil to a distance n. exc. 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick, burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.75 mtr below normal ground level, connected to GI earth strip 32 x 6 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts, and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 connected to earthing test point all as specified, including excavation, earth work, PCC chamber and cover, watering pipe, GI wiremesh funnel with protection pipe and test on completion after dismantling unserviceable earthing (above GL only) complete all as specified and directed. Note :- On testing after completion of desired earth resistance is not obtained the earthing will be redone by the contractor at no extra cost.
