MEDICAL GAS UNITS (GAS OUTLET POINTS) TERMINAL The Medical gas outlets shall confirm to NFPA99 standards. Front Loading Type Terminal Outlets should be designed to dispense medical gases (or an inlet for medical vacuum) to the secondary equipment (flow meters, Suction regulators, etc.) at the point of use and is gas specific so that secondary devices cannot be “attached” to the wrong gas. When not in use the gas in a non-flowing state within the Outlet (Terminal unit) sealed by “O” ring. The adapter when inserted pushes the poppet inside and the gas starts flowing and sealing is ensured by the “O” ring or a seat. The Outlets are Quick Connect Type and gas specificity is accomplished by "Pin indexing/Geometric indexing." The outlets should have following features: Push to insert or twist-to-release mechanism for probes. Allows plugging of probes from front. Self-sealing valve on disengaging the probe (Quick disconnect) Smooth quite action. Non return valve for on line servicing/ repairing Indexed to eliminate inter-changeability of gas services Color-coded gas specific front plate Totally leak proof, safe & easy to operate Configurations possible: surface, flush & Bead-head All outlets should have respective labels (i.e.O2/N2O/CO2/Air4/Air7/Vacuum/ AGSS/etc.) displayed accordingly.

Valve box Made of CRCA sheet duly powder coated with transparent window which is installed in the MGPS for oxygen and vaccum line and should comply with ENIS0521 l:2001 complete with ball type valves and gauses as required for oxygen. CE mark

OXYGEN FLOW METER WITH HUMIDIFIER. BPC Oxygen Flow Meter - Made from brass, chrome plated. It shall be back pressure compensated type having housing of Polycarbonate autoclavable reusable flow range 0-15 LPM. Fitted with matching adopter for oxygen outlet point and humidifier shall be compatible with flowmeter and reusable and as per specifications and as required. With suitable attachment steel adopter/prob. CE Mark Oxygen flow meters are used to control the flow-rate of Oxygen gas drawn from the central supply system or from a compressed gas cylinder. They are typically used in all types of wards, for adult, paediatric & neonates alike. They may also be used in other areas like anaesthesia administration stations and ambulances. This MGPS Installation will use “Ball and Pressure Dome” type flow meters. It shall provide a control knob to regulate gas flow control, within a range of 0 - 15 Litres per minute. The flow meter housing shall be powder coated Aluminium or Chrome plated Brass. The flow meter tube or Pressure dome shall be made from Polycarbonate. The Humidifier Bottle, Capacity 150 ml, will be re-usable type made of unbreakable polycarbonate material. It should be able to withstand autoclaving for its sterilisation. The procurement of Oxygen Flow Meters with Humidifier shall be as per the sample that is approved

SPECIFICATIONS OF Electrical and Plumbing Work: Work under this section consists of furnishing all labour, materials and appliances necessary and required to install and commission the water/Electrical supply systems. The work shall include but not limited to the following:• Water distribution system inside toilet blocks including supporting.•Valves in each riser and other ancillary items.•Connections to all plumbing fixtures etc.•Chasing of walls for pipes, making holes in walls/floors, making good the openings.•Materials shall be of the approved make & quality.•All equipment shall be complete with approved safety devices wherever a potential hazard to personnel exists and with provision for safe access of personnel to and around equipment for operation and maintenance functions.• Unless otherwise mentioned in the schedule of quantities, only single core PVC insulated / PVC insulated & sheathed cable consisting of multistrand / flexible copper conductor and of approved manufacturers conforming to relevant I.S. shall be used for wiring in conduit system.
