REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE DAMAGED HT/LT CABLE AND ELECTRICAL BREAKDOWN INCLUDING FAULT DETECTION, LOCALIZATION, RECTIFICATION AND ALLIED WORKS IN 11 KV, LT UNDERGROUND CABLE NETWORK, OVER HEAD LINES, AT CVD, PIRU VIHAR, DIPAC, HQ TG, KOTWALI, CHITRAL

Excavation in trenches not exc. 1.5 m wide and not exc 1.5 mtr deep (in soft/losse soil) for laying of cables or GI pipe and getting out and levelling of bottom suface to required level all as specified and directed by Engineer- in- Charge.

Material and labour for river washed and screened, dry sand for filling in trenches below and around underground cables for cushioning of cables etc, complete all as specified. Note : Measurement shall be taken after punning down.

S&F sub class B bricks having minimum compressive strength 75 Kg/ Sq cm laid in trenches for cable protection etc complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Laying only old bricks obtained from excavation complete all as directed.

Supplying and laying un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover Class HV, type 1, for 11 KV flat size 300 mm x 180 mm x 40mm.

Laying only old HT cable cover obtained from excavation complete all as directed.

Returning filling in,. Including spreading, levelling,. Watering and well ramming soil in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material (ie soil) from site to a distance n. exc 50 mtrs away and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 mtr above the starting point all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Disconnecting faulty 11 KV HT cables of different sizes from both ends, testing the cables with high voltage DC testing machine and locating the fault in the cables by fault locating machine to pin point exact position of fault, re-connections and testing of cables after removal of fault complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item Ser No 9 here in before but 1100 Volt LT cables. Note for item No-9.0 & 10.0 :- (a) HT/LT cable & joints shall be measured and paid for seperately under respective items of schedule. (b) Retrieved old serviceable cable cover/bricks will be laid in trenches for cable protection. If extra PCC cover/bricks and sand required at site shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of BOQs. (c) Excavation and earth work will be measured and paid for seperately under respective items of schedule.

Supply, laying, jointing, testing and commissioning in replacement or for making jointing work incl loop, LT underground cables of following sizes, PVC insulated XLPE and PVC sheathed, heavy duty armoured, with multistranded aluminium conductors, IS-7098 (part-I) marked, laid in trenches complete all as specified and directed. Taking out faulty underground 1100 Volt LT cable of different sizes by excavation and removing bricks of any size and relaying in the same trenches or re-routing to another site as directed after rectification of fault or replacing faulty portion of cable with new cable and removing of surplus soil and using new bricks as required.

Taking out faulty underground 11000 Volt HT cable of different sizes by excavation and removing PCC cover of any size and relaying in the same trenches or re-routing to another site as directed after rectification of fault or replacing faulty portion of cable with new cable and removing of surplus soil and using new bricks as required. (Note for item No 28 & 29): (a) HT/LT cable & joints shall be measured and paid for seperately under respective items of schedule if required. (b) Retrieved old serviceable PCC covers/ bricks will be laid in trenches for cable protection. If extra PCC cover/ bricks and sand required at site shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of BOQs. (c) Excavation and earth work will be measured and paid for seperately under respective items of schedule and should be measured twice in case of re-routing of cable.

Material and labour for disconnecting faulty/burnt end or portion of cable by removing the cable from loop including necessary excavation & earth work, relaying and reconnecting the cable by removing faulty/burnt portion of cable and preparing fresh terminals with suitable size of thimbles for 95sqmm X 3.5 core of LT cable to LT Panel/pole/main switch complete all as directed.

Material and labour in replacement Retro Reflective installation sign boards of size 5 feet x 4 feet fabricated out of 16 gauge MS sheet ,framed with stainless steel heavy duty pipe of size 50 mm bore duly welded/riveted with MS square pipe of size 25 mm x 25 mm at height 2.00 meter above ground level on stainless steel heavy duty pipe of size 50 mm bore embaded 60 CM in PCC 1:2:4 type B 1 block of size 45cm x 45cm x 60cm including necessary excavation and earth work .The steel portion of the board shall be painted in stove enameled paint and the front & back of the frame shall be overall sheathed with blue colour base painter adhesive tape. The wiriting matter i.e. details of Substation, location, tele No etc. will be in English language on both sides with reflective adhesive painter tapes all as directed and specified by Engineer -in-charge.

Taking down existing worn out/old/broken ACSR conductors of any size and length at any position from LT poles and supply, fixing and stretching new ACSR conductors of any size and type for over head LT poles including binding at site to insulator with suitable size of binding wire etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr in charge.

Note : contractor should procure and provide 50 % of the material as listed above within 15 days of the placing of work order and shall be verified by the Eng-in-charge
