M&L for carry out Earth resistance test with well calibrated suitable earth resistance tester after opening the test points and recording the result in presence of MES Representative / or as detailed person incl reconnect the test point and cleaning, Painting with colour code, writing date in the chamber complete all as specified. NOTE: - (i) Calibration certificate of earth resistance tester (not more than 3 months old) should be submitted to the AGE E/M office before starting the work. (ii)The result should be recorded in the result sheet as directd by Engineer-in-charge. (iii) Testing team shall be deployed for recording the test results daily as required and the test results shall be submitted to the AGE E/M Office on weekly basis.Testing equipment has to be arranged by the contractor ot his own cost. The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of this provision.

M&L for taking down copper/Aluminium strip of any size, type and any description from existing roof / wall of down conductor and making good to the disturbed surfaces to match the existing roof/wall complete all as specified.

M&L for Rejuvenate the existing earthing (GI/Copper plate earthig) with provision of new layers of charcoal, salt, watering pipe and funnel all as specified in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-I, including cleaning of existing GI/Copper earth plate, conductors etc., connecting with new bolts, nuts and washers complete including testing on completion all as directed. NOTE : - Excavation, earth pit and cover, watering pipe, funnel with wire mesh, earth lead and protection pipe shall be measured and paid separately.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised mild steel plate earth electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (in earth pit not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level) with the top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, the earth electrode surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust and salt to a packed thickness of 15 cm on all sides and incl GI strip 32mmx6 mm bolted (with GI nuts, bolts & check nuts) and riveted to earth plate at one end and connected to metallic bodies of equipments etc at the other end , earth strip encased in and including 40 mm bore GI light grade pipe with all fittings from top of electrode to body of equipment fixed with and including 25 x 4 mm flat iron clamps, bolts, nuts and washer and also including providing watering pipe 20mm bore GI pipe light grade from bottom of earth pit to top of electrode complete with wire mesh, funnel including taking out existing earthing complete all specified and shown in electrical plate No -3 of SSR Pt-I. Note :- (a) Rates for Excavation and earthwork in any type of soil/strata, testing on completion, GI strip32x5 mm and 40 mm dia protection pipe upto 7.5 mtr from earth plate is deemed to be included in rate quoted. (b) On testing after completion if less than 5 Ohm earth resistance is not obtained the earthling will be redone at no extra cost.

M&L for earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600mm X 600mm X 3mm thick, burried directly in ground (Earth pit not less than 2.25 metre deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, the earth electrode surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust and salt to a packed thickness of 15 cm on all sides, earth strip encased in and including connected to copper strip 20mmx3 mm as earth lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of copper or brass connected to earth test point duly riveted to earth plate at one end and connected to metallic bodies of equipments etc at the other end including watering pipe 20mm bore GI pipe light grade from bottom of earth pit to top of electrode complete with funnel, necessary earth work excavation in any type of soil complete all as shown in electrical plate No 3 and all as specified and or indicated including testing on completion including taking out existing earthing complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE :- (a) Rates for Excavation and earthwork in any type of soil/strata, testing on completion, Copper strip 20mmx3 mm and 40 mm dia protection pipe upto 7.5m from earth plate is deemed to be included in rate quoted. (b) On testing, after completion, if the earth resistance < 5 ohms is not obtained, earthing will be rejuvenated at no extra cost till the desired earth resistance is obtained.

(b) If the test result obtain from earthing is not less than 5 Ohms then earthing has to be redone again at no extra cost.

M&L for Maintenance Free Grounding Solution set earthing comprising of High tensile low carbon steel rod of 3 Mts length & 17.2 mm dia with 250micron (average) molecularly bonded copper on the outer surface along with Back-fill compound strictly be a Carbon based conductive concrete type which has a resistivity of less than 0.12 Ohm Mtr. Back-fill compound should be electronically conductive ( Like in metals ) and should not depend on moisture for conduction. The earth electrode should finally be housed in a heavy duty ready made type PVC chamber with future access cover. Back-fill compound should be environment friendly, should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete and should not leach / diffuse into the ground including taking out existing earthing complete all as specified and as directed. S&F in replacement funnel made out of mild steel sheet 0.80mm thick in conical shape, dia. of funnel at bottom shall be 20mm and at top shall be 75mm, covered with wire mesh, welded with pipe, suitable for watering the earth complete all as specified and as diirected.

Supply and fix light grade GI Pipe 25 mm bore for watering the earth plate/as stand post to AT rod complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix light grade GI Pipe 40 mm bore for protection of earthing lead and fixed to floor/structural steel/ wall, fixing with steel clamps, nut bolts complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in replacement for test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75mm X 75mm X 25mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos. 8 mm dia. 25mm long hex. head screw and connected to Copper/ Aluminium / GI strips complete housed in a PVC junction box all as specified and directed. Note : 1. The test points wil be properly fixed on epoxy insulators. 2. Epoxy insulators will be measured and paid seperately under relevant items.

Supply and fix ready made type PVC Junction box IP 65 of size 200 mm x 160 mm x 98 mm having shutter & lifting knob with provision of entry glands for earthing strip complete all as specified directed and fixed the box on wall/poles with suitable size of nut, bolts and washers complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge (Cat Part no K9250 of make Hensel or Equivalant in Sintex as approved by GE.)

Supply and fix ready made outdoor type heavy duty polymer earth pit chamber box of inner size 300mmx300mmx260 mm with provision of entry glands for earthing strip/ GI pipe and cover complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Note sample is kept in GE Ofiice sample room)

Supply and fix ready made outdoor type heavy duty polymer earth pit chamber box of top dia 245mm, bottom dia 325mm and height 280mm with provision of entry glands for earthing strip/ GI pipe and cover complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Note sample is kept in GE Ofiice sample room)

S&F in replacement Air termination single pointed aluminium rod not less than 12mm dia and 300mm long end threaded all as specified and as directed.

Taking down existing roof / down/ earth continuity conductor/ static discharge strips of any type and any description/ size from wall/roof/floor and refixing the same with post insulator epoxy LV type at maximum 0.5 M span including brass nut , bolts, washers etc. and making good to the disturbed surfaces to match the existing complete all as specified and directed at site. Note : - Insulators shall be measured and paid separately.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth for taking out pipe / cables/ earthing and earth lead etc and getting out in hard/ dense soil complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer - in - Charge

Returning, filling in and including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers n. exc. 25 cm each in any type of soil all as specified and directed.

Removal of excavated material to a distance not exc 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 metre above the starting point all as specified and directed.

M & L for PCC (1:3:6) type C2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in cement concrete in surface channels, drains and similar works, filling and mass concrete including demolition of existing concrete complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and lay in trenches/ fixed to walls PVC pipe 32mm bore class 3 grade for protection of earth strip complete fixing with suitable clamps at 0.5 M spacing complete all as specified and as directed. (Make Finolex or equivalant as approved by GE.) NOTE :- Quoted rate shall be deemed to be include M&L for flat iron clamps, bolts, nuts and washers.

Note : 1. Rerformance security:- Refer Condition 22 of Special Conditions 2. Quoted Contract Sum shall be arrived at after deducting the amount of Credit Schedule (refer Schedule of Credit in pdf form for quantity, rate and amount etc.) for old unserviceable materials retrieved from site.
