GRASS CUTTING INCLUDING VEGETATION OF RUNWAY SHOULDERS AND UNDERSHOOT AT BOTH ENDS IN TECH AREA AT AF STN THANJAVUR

Cutting of grass and bushes from the shoulder of Runway / PTT / LTT/ TARMAC upto ground level by mechanical means (Jungle jim with tractor / Bush cutter) including removing the rubbishes (obtained in cutting of grass / vegetation) away from runway premises as directed and cleaing the FOD away from the Runway / PTT / LTT & TP's by using mechanical blower complete all as specified and as directed.

Note:- (a) The work is to be carried in Air force airfield operational area which is highly restricted area. (b) Each round of grass cutting shall be measured and paid separetely. (c) Sides of Runway / PTT / LTT&TP's / Plinth of DTGM board and Drain Area upto 3m wide is to be operated only by using bush cutter and FOD spread over the main Runway to be cleaned simultaneously. (d) Labours must report at site as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for commencing the work daily. (e) Contractor has to provide minimum T&P for working on all working days is as follows :- (i) Jungle Jim with Tractor & operator - 01 No. (ii) Grass / Bush cutter – 04 Nos. (iii) Mechanical blower with operator – 01 Nos. (iv) In addition to the above, 02 Nos labours shall be engaged by the contractor with the accessories as required for cleaning of the FOD during grass cutting daily.

Ploughing of soft ground arrester area (150' x 300') both side of PTT (07 & 25 End) using tractor and ploughing angle from centre to each side (30* to 45*) angle, 15 cm deep and removing vegetation complete all as specified and as directed.
