Servicing and Maintenance of Fire Fighting

Monthly Checking, Inspection, Servicing and Maintenance of Fire Fighting System, equipments hydrants, extinguishers of all type, Water monitor up to the mark as per OISD/ISI Standards to provide & best functioning of the equipments always in best healthy condition inclusive of periodically cleaning, checking /inspection/oiling/ greasing of assemblies such as coupling, nozzles, valves, hydrants, extinguishers, hose pipes, water monitor, compounds drums, nozzles foam bunch, hose boxes, sand buckets etc, updating the data & identification tags, recording the status of checking in history register etc. as directed by the engineer in charge with all labors, carriages, materials etc. complete inclusive of all taxes. (inspection and servicing of the equipment/Fire Fighting facilities is to be done periodically as mentioned against each):

Maintenance and inspection of double headed hydrants as perdirection of EIC. Reporting to be done as per owner supplied format including oiling , greasing , testing as per direction of EIC inclusive of all tools & tackles, consumable, transportation, labour charges etc

Maintenance and inspection of Fire Extinguishers of all types & Capacity

Maintenance of isolation valves of all sizes in Fire water line and foam line by opening the same, lapping, greasing, oil as required for the job with supply of all man, material greases required for the work.

Maintenance and inspection of Foam / Water Monitors

Maintenance and inspection of Fire Hose

Maintenance and inspection of Hose Box

Maintenance and inspection of Nozzles all types including foam branch

PPE maintenance / up-keeping / cleaning on Monthly Basis of various items like helmets, Breathing apparatus, Water jel blanket, Asbestos blanket,hand gloves (rubber / asbestos),first-aid box,stretcher,resuscicator,safety belt,ear-muffs, fire proximity suits,safety torch,safety goggles including the cost of labour, material and taxesetc.complete as per instruction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Cleaning & stacking properly the foam containers,updating stock ,date of expiry,date of manufacturing on board and in register ,placingfoam containers at the foam monitors and water hydrants.On monthly basis

Sand buckets with sands for all buckets

Checking inspection servicing maintenance of Foam Trolley/Foam tank 200/1000 ltr. Capacity

Filling of foam compound/foam solution in foam tanks of fire fighting system in pump station area through 30L jerry cans including labour, collecting foam cans etc. in all respect. (Rates per 30L jerry cans)

Taking delivery and refilling the extinguishers of various sizes /capacities, updating the data & identification tags, recording the status of checking in history register etc as per ISI standard and replacing the same as directed by Engineer-in-Charge (The rates are inclusive of all Taxes). (The CO2 and N2 gas cylinder may to be taken out and delivered back within 10 days after re-filling /repairing. However Fire extinguishers CO2 and N2 are to be supplied /Kept temporary in place of each fire extinguisher for which taking out for re-filling /repairing is required).

Hydrostatic testing, inspection of safety valve, and refilling ( Payment for refilling and painting shall be paid separately as per SOR rates.) of high pressure cylinder through CCE approved party and charging upto required pressure including delivery of the cylinder from the station and returning the same inclusive of all labour material,transportation and all the other incidental expenses along with Hydrotesting certificate.The cylinder is tobe returned back to the station within 15 days from the date of receiving from the station. 1.Vendor has to arrange arrange to carry out Hydrotest of all the the cylinders as per GAS cylinder Rules ,1981. 2. Copy of certificate of competency from CCE, Nagpur and hydrotest certificate shall be submitted at time of delivery. A sticker mentioning date of hydro testing shall be pasted on the body of each cylinder. 3.After hydro testing all the cylinders to be purged with gas, dried properly & painted with one coat primer and two coats of FIRE RED PAINT of shade no. 536 of IS Standard latest) after hydraulic testing and refilling. 4. Refilling to be done with 99.9% of purity CO2. The carbon dioxide gas shall conform to IS 15222. The quantity filled must be same as per specific type of cylinder. 5.Gross/Net weight of each CO2 cylinder shall be clearly embossed near the neck of each cylinder. In addition to the above, one aluminium sticker mentioning Tare/Gross weight, date of hydro testing/refilling is to be pasted/attached with the body of each cylinder. Note:- 1. Vendor shall be required to collect the material from F &S/Stores and take it for refilling 2 days from getting information. The material shall be delivered back to F&S stores after refilling. To & fro transport arrangement to be done by vendor. 2. Party shall deliver the material to our stores within 20 days from the date of call for refilling. Delivery of filled cylinders from the works of the vendor to IOCL F&S store shall also be arranged by the party. 3. Valve of cylinders will be protected adequately by the vendor during transportation. Payment for refilling and painting shall be paid separately as per SOR rates.

Refilling and hydrotesting of breathing apparatus set cylinder with dry compressed air up to a pressure of 200/300 bar as per direction of EIC ,inclusive of transportation handling charges,hydrotesting from CCE approved party complete in all respect

Refilling of breathing apparatus set cylinder with dry compressed air up to a pressure of 200/300 bar as per direction of EIC,inclusive of transportation handling charges etc.

Hydrotesting of DCP Type Fire Extinguishers of various capacities at aninternal pressure of 30 kgf/cm2 as per IS-2171 andOISD-STD- 142.Painting of the cylinders with one coat of red oxide primerand two coats of synthetic enamel paint of desired shade. 50/75 Kg Capacity DCP Extinguisher

Hydrotesting of DCP Type Fire Extinguishers of various capacities at aninternal pressure of 30 kgf/cm2 as per IS-2171 andOISD-STD- 142.Painting of the cylinders with one coat of red oxide primerand two coats of synthetic enamel paint of desired shade. 25/10/9 Kg Capacity DCP Extinguisher

Maintenance of water curtain system/ sprinkler system of control room, SR tank, DPPL skid :- Cleaning of all water sprinkler nozzles provided by opening nozzle, dechocking & refitting the same as per direction of site engineer/ EIC including cleaning of Y type strainer of water curtain system line and oiling and greasing of valves complete in all respect including all labour, tools tackles ,consumable etc. Monthly basis

Maintenance of Foam deluge valve of Mainline pump shed fixed foam flooding system on half yearly basis

Inspection and testing of fire detection system in control building/Administration building. Checking and cleaning of rate of rise heat detectors / smoke detectors, heat and smoke detector installed on roof in building area, HT/LT building, MCC building etc. inclusive of all labours, tools & tackles etc. complete. Tools like wire and air blower, safety belt, smoke spray etc. shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost. On quaterly basis

Testing of AFFF as per BIS: 4989 from reputed institute like Gujarat Industrial Research and Development Organisation in all respect including supply of cans, transportation, manpower, etc. complete.

Inspection,cutting and re - winding of hose pipes with copper wire (couplings shall be provided by IOC) and hydrotesting.Rates for winding of both end of hose pipe. inclusive of transportation , labour charges ,tools & tackles etc as per direction of EIC

Composite Items:- Supply and replacing the spares /assembles etc of the Fire Fighting equipments system for all sizes / Capacities as per ISI standard and approved make with all labours, materials, carriages, inclusive of all taxes etc. complete as per requirement within 48 hrs of receipt of complaint.

Supply & fitting of Discharge hose with squeeze grip for 9/10 Kg DCP Extinguisher, hose should not burst or show leakage before 50 Kgf/cm2 as per direction of EIC.

Supply & fitting of Discharge hose with clamps(6.5mtr length). Hose should not burst or showleakage before a pressure of 50Kgf/cm2 of 50/75 Kg DCP Extinguisher as per direction of EIC.

Supply and fitting of Hydrants sheet washer including fitting at site

Supply & fitting of Inner container for 10 Kg DCP Extinguisher as per direction of EIC.Inner container for 10 kg DCP fire extinguisher made from MS sheet as per IS : 2171-(Latest)and its design shall be such as to enable it to be held in the mouth of the extinguisher and to surround both the cartridge and the cartridge holder. It shall be of adequate size to allow free movement of the gas cartridge in it when the extinguisher cap is tightened with the cartridge fixed to the cartridge holder.

Supply & fitting of Safety clip ( metal) with nylon thread for 10 Kg DCP Extinguisher as per direction of EIC.

Supply & fitting of HDPE discharge horn for 2Kg /3.2Kg CO2 extinguisher along with bend pipefitting complete in all respect as per direction of EIC.

Supply and painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint (ISI approved brand) including scrapping cleaning, one coat of red oxide paint etc as per ISI standards and approved make with all labors, materials, carriages, inclusive of all taxes etc including letter writing identification mark etc complete as per direction of Engneer-in-Charge. (Note: Colour shall be as per instructions of EIC)

Painting of fire hose boxes (Inside and out side) including stand with two coat of Paint including letter/number writing ( Colour to be specified by EIC)

Painting of sand buckets with stand, with one coat of redoxide primer & two coats ofsynthetic enamel paint ( fire red from outside & white from inside),writing letters on sand buckets (by stencil) complete in all respect including labour charges , material, removing of old sand filling back the sand after painting etc. as per direction of Site engineer / EIC (4-6 Bucket ) including letter/number writing.

Painting and Marking of Foam Trolley- 200 ltr / foam tank 1000 ltrs and its canopy including nomenclature/stickers

Supply and fixing of small hammers with chains for ESD/MCP Boxes as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge .

Supply and fitting of spindle assembly for hydrants outlet including check nut and wheel as per IS 5290 : 1993 for LANDING VALVE DOUBLE HEAD OUTLET (TYPE B)( Gun metal) for hydrants

Supply and Fitting of new wind sock(as per IOC specification ), removing of old wind sock made out of synthetic cloth in flood light tower , buildings, unto height of 30 M, as per direction of site engineer/ Evictee wind sock should be Made from strong and durable nylon nor flat material with anticorrosive antiagening polyurethane coating to increase tear resistance. It should not tear easily. Warrenty of 12 months should be given .

Erection and supply of stand post of wind sock in place damaged stand post as per specification of IOC and EIC including tools and tackle , labour charges ets complete in all respect.
