Excavation over areas not exceeding 1.50 m deep and getting out in hard/ dense soil , complete all as specified.

Excavation over areas (by mechanical means) not exceeding 1.50 m deep and getting out in hard rock, complete all as specified by Engr-in-charge. Note : (i) Material retrieved under this item i.e. hard rock / boulder will be credited to contractor under schedule of credit. No payment for lead / removing will be paid seperately. Hard rock / boulder will be stacked and qty shall be arrived as specified in SSR. (ii) Quoted rate deemed to include the all cost T&P etc. as required at side.

Removing excavated material (Soil) exc. 1.50 km but n exc. 5 km and depositing where directed, complete all as specified.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting/filling to camber by using earth compactor of capacity exc 8 tonne & n exc 12 tonne complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 200 mm spread thickness Soling (or sub base) with broken boulders or quarried stone, inter stices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 150mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet Bound Macadam (WBM) with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size) using granite, basalt, trap stone, laid in two layers each of 75mm thick, with coarse aggregate of specified grade as per MORTH, spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber completed using mechenical paver/ grader and vibratory roller/earth compactor of capacity 8 tonne to 12 tonne capacity complete alll as specified and as directed. Note: 1. Each layer of WBM shall be provided in seperate operation. 2. 150 thick WBM (having two layers of 75 mm thick each) shall be measured and paid as one unit.

Material and labour for preparing of un-surfaced Wet Bound Macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor to remove all loose dust & dirt etc., and applying prime coat with bitumen primer of grade (Paving Bitumen) VG-10 @10 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Premix bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness) using VG-30 as binder with binder content @ 4 % min of total mix, laid rolled and compacted to required gradient and consolidated to required camber and gradient using power roller of capacity exc 8 Tonne but n exc 12 tonne, complete all as specified and directed. (Consolidate thickness 75mm or less).

Material and labour for applying evenly a tack coat with bituminous primer at 3 Kg per 10 Sqm with paving bitumen VG-10 over existing surfaces of bituminous macadum surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour, premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness, using combined graded aggregate i.e. crushed stone coarse aggregate, fine aggregate & filler (inharent filler/OPC 43 grade) of physical properties as specified and as per table given (to refer SSR Part-I of 2009), pre-heated mixed with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using VG-30 grade bitumen, laid with mechanical paver, rolled & compacted to a uniform smooth surface with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) Thickness of semi dense asphaltic concrete and quantities of materials as mentioned in particular specifications/SSR are the minimum. The quoted rate shall also be deemed to include for provision of more materials in comparison to those mentioned/specified in the item, if required, to achieve the required level, gradient, camber and shape all as directed by the GE. (ii) Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing stone and fine aggregate and binder (bitumen) and semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver all as directed by the GE. (iii) Contractor’s quoted rates shall be deemed to include all these aspects.
