General Notes:- 1. Tenderers are advised to visit the site of work with prior permission of Engineer- in- Charge/ authorised representative to acquaint themselves with the nature and location of work before quoting tender. 2. Since the work is to be carried out in Hospital buildings which are occupied by Patients, health care workers etc the work shall be carried out with least disturbance to the occupants. 3. During execution of work all labourers, supervisors & engineers of contractors shall use personal protective equipments. Work execution without PPE's shall not be permited.BARC construction safety manual shall be followed during execution of works. 4. Any work activity shall be started at site with prior work permit issued by departmental safety officer/Engineer/Supervisor. 5. No debris shall be left over during the repair works under each item on any day. An area for 'Debris bins' will be identified on the request of contractor for collection of debris generated on day to day basis
Preparing the existing water proofing by making it slightly rough by grinding the same by mechanical means and cleaning the surface, removal of polycon net etc. and to make it free from all unwanted dust, loose material and other contaminants that may damage the water proofing treatment complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge
Dismantling old plaster / skirting carefully , raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 100 m lead
Dismantling brick bat coba cement based water proofing over roof and chajjas carefully without damaging adjacent structures including lowering and stacking of materials and dispoal of unserviceable materials within 200 m lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge
Providing structural Repairs in Old Damaged concrete structures / surfaces with approved Polymer with following operations : 1) Removal of loose/Spaled or damaged concrete by chipping and cleaning the concrete suface and Reinforcement steel with wire brush and with water jet. 2) Cleaning the Re bars with Acetone for complete Rust removal and washing with water jet to make the surface free from Acid content. 3) Applying Protective Coat / bond coat using Polymer and Cement in the proportion of 1: 1.5 (1 part of polymer and 1.5 parts of cement in Synthetic enamal paint like consistancy with brush 4) Reinstate the area with polymer modified mortar in layers of maximum 20 mm with the proportion of Cement 50 Kg : Washed and dried river sand 87.50 kg : Silica sand 37.50 Kg mixed with 10 litres of Polymer (or 1 Kg cement : 1.75 kg Washed and dried river sand : 0.75 Kg Silica Sand : 200 ml polymer) 5) If thickness of repair exceeds 20 mm, after every 20 mm thick bond coat as per 2 above to be applied before continuing further structural repair works. This work is inclusive of all materials, labour, scaffolding complete all as directed at site, using approved Polymer suitable for Structural repair shall be used. Note: Scaffolding will be paid separately under relevant item
Providing SFMC Micro concrete for strengthening of structural members including mixing, pouring, curing as per manufacturer specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Using SFMC with 50% Quartz aggregate by weight (Only SFMC consumed alone will be measured for payment)
Providing , centering ,shuttering Form work using PVC film faced plywood to get a neat form finish surface for all types of structures including necessary strutting, proping, staging, supports etc and deshuttering the same after the specified time all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at all levels for Super Structure.
Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:2:4 (1 cement, 2 crushed sand, 4 graded stone aggregate of nominal size 20 mm) including consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete as per specification and drawings but excluding the cost of Formwork shuttering, centering and steel reinforcement at all Levels.
Lead charges for Lead of debris beyond 4 KM but up to & including 30 KM by mechanical transport including loading, unloading, stacking / levelling etc. Note: The rates in respect of this item are applicable for NET Quantities arrived at after making deduction for voids @ 30% in respect of debris from corresponding STACK / TRUCK Measurement.
Providing Structural steel work using angles, channels, joists and other sections, welded and / or bolted in built up sections for trusses, structural steel floors, frame works, monorails and other structures including supplying, cutting, welding, fabricating, hoisting, fixing in position, applying a priming coat of approved steel primer etc. complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge. Up to and including 300 mm Joists, 350 mm channels, and below sections using materials confirming to IS:2062. All test reports to be provided along with the supply of the materials.
Providing Reinforcement Steel for reinforced cement concrete at all levels including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules, cutting, bending, transporting, fixing, tieing in position with PVC coated G.I binding wire, all labour charges, cost of cover blocks in specified grade of concrete etc. complete as per specifications and drawings.Steel supplied by the contractor.Using TMT bars of specified grades all dia bars. TMT bars to be supplied by the contractor confirming to IS:1786 only.
Providing 15 mm thick plastering using Ready mix internal plastering compound of approved make for internal faces of brickwork / concrete surfaces including preparation of the surface, curing, cleaning, scaffolding complete all as per specifications and as directed at site by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing in position 50 mm thick Joint filler board of Approved make in expansion joints to the required size and shape, placing and keeping in positioncomplete as per specifications and drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge.
Providing supplying and sealing the Expansion Joints with Gungrade Polysulphide sealant suitable for RCC Construction Joints of 'MASTERFLEX 700i' of BASF construction Chemicals make or approved equivalent by removing the expansion joint board up to 25 mm deep and cleaning the suface neatly and filling Gungrade sealent up to 25 mm deep to the lines and levels complete all as per manufacturers specifications and as directed by the project engineer. For 50 mm wide expansion Joints.
Providing and fixing machine moulded anodised aluminium sheet covering of approved pattern and design made out of required width machine cut aluminium steel and machine holed for receiving screws over expansion joints on vertical surfaces/ceilings/floors with full threaded, cadmium plated steel screws 4 mm dia, 30 mm long and aluminium washers 2 mm thick, 15 mm dia at a staggered pitch of 200 mm centre to centre including drilling holes in the receiving surface and providing expandable plastic sleeves in holes etc. complete, made out of colour anodized aluminium sheet 3.0 mm thick or as specified (Minimum coating of anodisation shall be of 15 micron thickness).
Supply of manpower for carrying out shifting and re-arragement works of furnitures, equipmets, instruments etc. with necessary safety precautions and also seasonable departmental work alloted by the Engineer -in -charge . Note :- Personal protective equipmets for labours shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost.By using Un-Skilled Manpower. Deployment: The contractor shall deploy un-skilled worker for each job for 8 ½ hours per day with 30 minutes of break, in General (Ist / IInd) or on Round the clock shift whenever necessary as per the discretion of the Engineer-in-Charge during the contract period.
Providing cement based waterproofing treatment to new terraces / chajjas including cleaning the concrete surfaces, giving injections to the top slab as required with cement & approved waterproofing compound solution to fill up all inherent holes, voids honey-combs etc. in the concrete slab, setting "autoclaved aerated light weight block bats" coba in waterproof mortar 1:4 (using crushed sand) with necessary gradient for easy flow of water, complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and Painting with Epoxy PU paint using 2 coats of (120 Micron dry film thickness) Epoxy PU high build coating as finishing coat over a priming coat of EPILUX-13 High Build primer of 50 micron thickness over steel/aluminum surfaces by spray at all locations prepared and applied as per manufacturer' specifications including preparation of surface by cleaning with wire brush and rubbing, scraping , applying sand paper , making free of Rust, dust, dirt etc. filling the holes, joint, cracks if any using epoxy putty complete. all as per manufacturers technical data and as directed at site to achieve minimum overall dry Film thickness of 170 micron (50 Micron primer Coat + 120 micron finishing Coat). On STEEL /Aluminium surfaces.
Supply and Application of KEMPEROL 1K of Kemper Systems or approved equivalent: Providing and applying (Pre Measured Packed) silver grey coloured 2 components solvent free, odourless, excellent adhesion property Epoxy-based Kemco Pox 2K Primer on the clean and grinded surface. The substrate can be slightly moist (in concrete, the moisture must be < 20 %), sound and free from any material that would hinder adhesion. Mix component A into component B in ratio 1: 0.16 by weight thoroughly with stirring stick. The mixture should be a uniform colour, free from streaks. Apply the primer evenly with roller. The primer should be completely dry for further application of liquid applied polyurethane based membrane. The Consumption depending on the nature and condition of the substrate for priming ~ 250 to 400 gm/m2. The rate shall including cost of material, labour, tools & plants etc. complete. 'Providing and Applying Kemperol 1K a cold liquid applied waterproofing based on highly flexible solvent free single component Polyurethane system and Kemperol Fleece 120 a special needle punched non woven, system compatible polyester fleece of minimum 120 GSM as reinforcement. The cold liquid applied reinforced system is highly crack bridging, UV stable, Solvent free, Cool Roof system. Stir the material before use. Over the prime substrate, Approximately 2/3 of the Kemperol 1K waterproofing mix material is applied to the substrate and Kemperol Fleece 120 is rolled with roller, removing air bubbles and allowing overlap of 5cm. The remaining 1/3 of the Kemperol 1K waterproofing mix material is poured onto the surface until complete saturation is achieved. After curing on next day apply one coat of material approx. 300g/m2. The total system of waterproofing for material and components shall be from single manufacturer. The system is totally wet on wet and no time lag should be kept during the total laying of the system. The total thickness achieved from the application is 1.4 to1.7 mm. The Total Consumption of mix waterproofing depending on the nature, porosity and condition of the substrate ~ 2.3 to 2.7 kg/m2. The rate shall including cost of material, labour, tools & plants etc. complete. The tensile strength of the membrane should be about 8.625 N/mm2 and Elongation at break with fleece to be about 83.5 % (with fleece). The Tear Resistance of the membrane should be to about 41.4 N/mm, SRI Value of membrane should be about 101, Degree of solar reflectance of the membrane should be about 86% and adhesive strength should be about 2.45 N/mm2 etc. Note : The Waterproofing Applicator shall provide 10 years Leak Proof Performance warranty for the complete waterproofing work.
Cleaning the Surface with wire brush, high pressure water jet to remove dust , dirt etc. All Honeycombs/ loose concrete will be treated using low-shrink cement mortar. The construction joints will be chased open and filled with high strength polymer mortar & grouted with cement slurry by fixing nozzles at distance of 2m c/c. Providing and applying Vandex Super, cementitious based crystalline slurry in two coats in depth concrete waterproofing to Raft and Retaining wall from Inside and terrace slabs from outsideVandex waterproofing material, shall react with the free lime and moisture within the capillary tracts of the concrete, to form insoluble gel crystals that penetrate deep into the concrete. These insoluble crystals formed shall permanently block the capillaries and minor cracks up to 0.3mm width that are present in the concrete, and driving out water to provide a permanently waterproofed concrete. The compound of active chemicals, while in the absence of moisture shall remain dormant and re-activate once the concrete structure is re-exposed to moisture or water. The Vandex cementitious waterproofing treatment shall remain waterproofed even under pressure (tested in accordance to DIN 1048), and at the same time allow the concrete to “breathe” by allowing the passage of water vapor out of the structure.The materials will be procured from M/s Tremco India Pvt Ltd or equivalent approved.
Providing and fixing double tubular scaffolding system using H- frames with cup lock type on the exterior side upto seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre horizontal and vertical tubes joining with cup and lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S clamps and M.S staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and as approved by the Engineer-in-charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purposes. The payment shall be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding
