Providing soil Investigation to the work of construction of addidtional 19 classrooms and 3 Laboratory Building in Government Arts college for Women at Ramanathapuram in Ramanathapuram District.(Sub work)

Towards the charges for drilling trail bore holes of 150mm diametre soil exploration using Rotary drilling machine. Soil exploration using Trail bore holes has to be done for a depth of about 10.00m, at site. Bore hole investigation involves presentation of engineering properties of sub surface strata, for structural design purposes.If rocky strata occured during soil exploration, the sample rock for a depth of about 1.00m has to be collected and parameters has to be reported,Standard Penetration Test (SPT) has to be conducted as per IS 2131 – 1981 at every 1.50m interval or change of strata. The collected samples has to be sent to laboratory with proper labelling for lab investigation purposes.The Degree of Free Swell Index of the soil has to be provided after conducting proper laboratory tests.The rate includes cost for submission of detailed bore log report, compiling the field and laboratory test results and evolving the safe allowable bearing capacity of soil.Further more the rate also includes cost of mobilization and demobilization of all boring and drilling rigs, and other in-situ test equipments.The soil exploration has to be carried out in the location identified by the departmental officers concerned.
