M & L for Providing, fabricating, assembling and erecting of pre-stressed Tensile Membrane Fabric structure in desired profile including fabric designing and seaming as per conceptual drawing of High Quality PVC Fabric Serge Ferrari France 782GSM, Dust Repellent Finish, UV Resistant, Antifungal, PVDF Coated, M2 Flame Retardancy Bs2, d0/EN 13501-1, ISO 9001 Certified product, Extreme Working Temperatures: -30C to +70 C. Notes: (i) This work shall include raw material, patterning, forming, cutting, welding, fixing and installation with GI cables, flashing, hot dipped galvanized corner Plates and hardware with EN8 grade 8.8 - HDG etc. including lifts up to 10 metre height, tools and plants, and necessary scaffolding, etc. required for all operations. The work also includes tensioning of fabric, supply and fixing of aluminium strips of minimum size 25mm x 3mm on top of fabric including all necessary fittings required as per site requirement, labour, scaffolding, cutting to size and shape wherever required, etc. complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) All steel surfaces shall be treated with one coat of primer (Polyurethane Coating-ESDEE Autocoat) followed by two coats of (MRF CORP Durothane PU). (iii) Any minor details necessary for the over all architectural & structural stability of the structure which has not been specified or shown in the conceptual drawings but essential for the work are deemed to be inclusive in the unit quoted rate. (iv) A conceptual design for the proposed structure is held in this office for technical guidance. (v) Colour of the Fabric roof shall be as approved by GE. (vi) Guarantee for Fabric: The period of Guarantee for Fabric shall be 07 (Seven) years from the certified date of completion. The contractor shall be responsible for effectiveness of the fabric during the period and any damage/leakage noticed therein during this period shall be made good by him at his own cost. The contractor shall furnish guarantee in favour of GE Umroi for the efficacy of the fabric during the guarantee period. An amount of security deposit equal to the performance security deposit i.e. 5% calculated based on the quoted amount of BOQ serial item No. 1 shall be retained from the contractor’s final bill as security deposit for fabric which shall be released to the contractor only after expiry of guarantee period. The contractor may alternatively furnish a fixed deposit receipt in favour of GE in lieu of sum to be retained as security deposit for fabric from any approved Schedule Bank. Condition 46 of General conditions of Contracts (IAFW 2249) shall be deemed to be amended to the extend mentioned above.

M & L for Structural Steel Frame work as per approved and vetted structural design including hoisting, erecting and placing in position MS Built-up section/Tubular Structural steel ( MS built-up section made out of Rolled section & plates conforming to IS 2062 Grade, Yst 350 MPA and Tubular Structural steel made out of Steel hollow sections of make SAIL/TATA/JINDAL/NEZONE of Grade conforming to IS 1161/4923/1239, minimum Yst 240 MPA), riveted, bolted or welded in the profile shape as per approved drawings (All Column, base Plate, reef portals, purlins, façade frame, canopy steel structure etc. or all other similar works) with special plate connector, pinion joints, Plates, Hollow sections etc. including preparation of detailed fabrication and erection drawings of Structural steel work as per design drawings, transportation from fabrication yard, cutting, threading, machining, leads and lifts up to 10metre height, tools and plants and necessary scaffolding etc, required for all operations involved to make the structure of Tensile Membrane shade. The structure has to be provided as per conceptual drawings of Tensile fabric profile, including all arch beam, curved lateral beams and bracings, vertical support columns, nodal joints etc. and framed work for trusses. Notes (i) Before execution of the work contractor has to carry out design and submit structural drawing duly vetted by IIT/NIT/Govt Engineering College and cost for the same are deemed to be inclusive in the unit quoted rate. (ii) Design and submission of structural and architectural drawings of pre-stressed tensile fabric structure as per wind speed of Umroi Military Station, Meghalaya and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. (iii) Contractor has to submit 3-sets of vetted design drawing including plan, section, elevation, isometric/3-D view, structural drawing of foundation, column, roof structure duly vetted by IIT/NIT/Govt Engineering College for approval of GE before execution. However change/ modification in drawing may be required as per site condition which shall be carried out by the contractor as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and no additional payment shall be made on this account. (iv) The unit quoted rates are inclusive of providing and executing requisite civil/ structural work for foundation and grouting of foundation bolts using HILTI Chemical fastener all as per the design and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (v) Quoted rate are deemed to be inclusive of one coat of primer (polyurethane coating) and two coats of high quality Metal Anti Rust Paint of approved make as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.
