Earth work excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth Kassi work undressed involving an average horizontal throw upto 2 metres, and an average vertical lift upto 0.05 metre including breaking of clods. Excavated earth may be reused on berms and disposed off surplus earth with all lead and lift and re-compact the same including laying, dressing, watering & rolling complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge (HSR.6.2 (a), g-I, g-iii & g-v). Note: Excavated earth shall be used in construction of embankment i.e. item no.6
Construction of embankment, sub grade and shoulders and sub grade in widening of formation width 9.75 mtr. to 12.75 mtr. in Rd 54.00 to 59.780, Rd 63.290 to 67.400 & wdg. Of formation from 9.75 to 25.0 mtr. in RD 59.780 to 63.290 with soil of minimum CBR 8% (4 days soaked) of obtained from borrow area with any lead and lift transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305. The finished road surface will be as per X-section approved by engineer with respect to GTS. In case the quantity of earth work calculated with NSL and finished level found to be less than 39490.91 cum. Then actual quantity (less than 39490.91 cum) will be paid. In case quantity worked out is more than 39490.91 cum, then only 39490.91 cum will be paid. Excess quantity shall be incidental to work and nothing extra will be paid. Further it shall be ensured that atleast 500 mm of sub grade with earth of CBR 8% shall be constructed at each location. Wherever any cutting of existing sub grade is required on this account excavation as well as handling and disposal of earthwork to accommodate minimum 500mm thick sub grade of minimum 8% CBR shall be carried out by the agency at his own cost. Nothing extra will be paid on this account. Before start of work, L-section shall be got approved from the employer with respect to GTS. However, typical X-section attached at section 9 of DNIT. Note:- if soil of CBR 8% is not available the agency will de appropriate stabilization as per IRC-SP-89-2010 as approved by SE-in-Charge and nothing extra will be paid on this account and it will be incidental to work. No earth work will be allowed from PWD land.
Preparation of sub grade, including trenching, rough dressing of spoil, final dressing of earth, to given levels and camber, watering rolling with road roller, and compacting the bed (HSR.24.1) Note: - In widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.

Providing & laying 60 mm DBM using the reclaimed material to the extent of 30% of the required quantity after carrying out necessary checks and evaluation, adding fresh material including rejuvenation as required, grade, level and thickness, all as specified in clause 519. ( 5th revision) 2013 using bitumen VG-30 (minimum Bitumen’s 4.50% i/c bitumen of retrieved material as per job mix formula) 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant with appropriate arrangement for use of R.A.P, with pneumatic tyred roller (PTR) of 12 to 15 tonne weight with a tyre pressure of atleast 0.56 MPa and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as specified in clause 519 of MORT&H specification 5th revision -2013. Note:-1) The milled material to be used in DBM shall be minimum 80% of the theoretical quantity that will be received from item no.2. 2). If bitumen required more than 4.50% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be paid extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. Note:-Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95% anti stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti-stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and nothing extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by the S.E-incharge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor. 3. Where there is DBM on existing black top, cracks shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision clause No.3004.3, which may consists of (i) Fog seal/ or (ii) crack filling and of (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No.3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision respectively. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental to work.
Providing & Laying 40 mm compacted thickness of Bituminous Concrete (BC) in one layer with 100-120 THP batch type hot mix plant with Bituminous binder CRMB-55 @ 5.4% (minimum ) and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher having sufficient screed width so that the BC joint with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled. vibratory and with pneumatic tyred roller (PTR) of 12 to 15 tonne weight with a tyre pressure of at least 0.56 MPa and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MoRT&H specification (vth revision )-2013 Clause no. 507 complete in all respect. If bitumen required is more than 5.4% as per job mix including waste plastic material no extra payment will be made. Extra bitumen including will be considered as incidental to work. Note:- job mix formula shall be approved by Employer in writing before start of work. Note:-Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95% anti stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti-stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and nothing extra shall be payable. Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian paint-apcomark/ Berger-sigmarc/ prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters/Sovitec/Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-Charge a copy of certified test report from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflector zing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads the methods of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS 3262 (part-3) Note:-Before start of work the contractor shall give brand, batch number, manufacturing date of the material to be used along with a photocopy of bill duly signed by the contractor and get approved the same from Engineer-In-Charge before use.

Pavement Marker (Cat Eyes) Moulded shank raised pavement markers made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 KG tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No. W/NH/33023/10-97-DO III dt. 11.06.1997. The height width and length shall not be exceed 50mm, 100mm and 100 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm. On each side and the slope to the base shall be 35+/- degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19+/-2 mm and height not less than 30+/- mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer (of reputed make such as Avery Dennison/3M.)

The CC Mix to be in ratio of 1:1 ½ :3 (RCC 1:1 ½ :3) and that of lean to be ratio of 1:3:6 the work will be carried out as per the instructions of Engineer-In-Charge. Cantilever over head sign gantry size 5000 mm x 1500 mm retro reflective R-type single side.

Providing and erecting a “W” metal beam crash barrier comprising of 3mm thick corrugated sheet metal beam rail, 70 cm above road/ground level, fixed on ISMC series channel vertical post, 150x 75x 5mm spaced 2m centre to centre, 1.8m high, 1.1m below ground/road level, all steel parts and fitments to be galvanized by hot dip process, all fittings to conform to IS: 1367 and IS : 1364, metal beam rail to be fixed on the vertical post with a spacer of channel section 150x 75x 5mm, 330 mm long complete as per clause 810 of MoRT&H specification.
Recovery items:- The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of existing brick work, bituminous layer and granular layers have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material.
