Up-gradation of roads by providing Widening and Strengthening of Kharoudi to Bhuna road in Kaithal Distt. (ID 9453) (RE-invited)

Milling of distress bituminous layer upto 40m depth in a single pass with suitable milling machine (capable of milling @ 200-300 sqm area per Hr.) fitted with loading conveyor for loading the milled material directly on the trucks i/c hauling and stock piling the reclaimed material near the central recycling plant or reclaiming to bring to required specification to reuse with the approval of Engineer-in-Charge for safe disposal with all leads and lifts complete in all respects. Note:- The unutilized quantity of reclaimed bituminous mix material shall be a recovery item as mention in BOQ item No. 31.

Earth work in excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth. Kassi work undressed involving an average horizontal throw upto 2 metres, and an average vertical lift upto 0.05 metre including breaking of clods. Excavated earth may be reused on berms and disposed off surplus earth with all lead and lift including dressing complete in territorial as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge will be incidental to work and nothing will be paid. (NS)

Preparation of sub grade including trenching, rough dressing of spoil, final dressing of earth, to given levels and camber, watering, rolling with road roller, and compacting the bed (HSR 24.1) Note: - In widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.

Supply collection and carriage of First class brick 22.86cm x11.43cmx6.86cm from approved kiln to site of work shall be made from good brick earth conforming to 3.5 of Haryana PWD specification 1990 edition in stacks of 50 bricks length, 2 bricks width and 10bricks height parallel to the center line of the road Bricks shall be free from saline deposits and shall be sand moulded. They shall be thoroughly brunt without vitrified and shall have uniform deep red, cherry or copper colour. They shall be regular and uniform in shape and size with sharp and squares aries and parallel faces. They must be homogeneous in texture and emit a clear ringing sound on being struck. They shall be free flaws, cracks , chops, stones, nodules or lime or kankar and other blemishes complete as per Haryana PWD specification 1990 First Edition.

Laying brick on end edging length-wise 22.86 cm deep and 6.83 cm wide including excavation of earth and refilling the excavated soil and compacting along brick edging complete in all respect with other than brick soiling (HSR 24.6(b)).

Providing and laying 75mm thick (Compacted) stone metal (G-I) 63 to 45mm gauge wearing coat to water bound macadam in layer of 75mm each using screening type 'B' compacting with 3 wheeled steel roller/ vibratory roller to achieve the desire density including lighting, guarding baricading and maintenance of diversion etc. as per clause No.404 of MoRT&H specifications for road & bridge (5th revision) of 2013 as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer complete in all respects (N.S.) Note: - 1.Only crushed metal material should be used. No local earth sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Material to be used and operations manufacturing shall be approved by engineer.

Providing and laying 150/225mm thick (Compacted) stone metal (G-II) 53mm to 22.4mm gauge wearing coat to water bound macadam in layer of 75mm each using screening type 'B' compacting with 3 wheeled steel roller/ vibratory roller to achieve the desire density including lighting, guarding baricading and maintenance of diversion etc. as per clause No.404 of MoRT&H specifications for road & bridge (5th revision) of 2013 as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer complete in all respects (N.S.) Note: - 1.Only crushed metal material should be used. No local earth sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Material to be used and operations manufacturing shall be approved by engineer.

Providing and laying first coat surface dressing, including rolling with road roller etc. completed including cost of bitumen VG-10 grade using aggregate 13mm nominal size 1.00 cum and bitumen VG-10, 0.10 MT per hundre square metre. Clause 509 of MoRT&H specification. (5th eidition) 2013 (NS).

Providing and laying tack coat with bitumen VG-10 grade pressure distributor at the rate of 0.30 kg. per sqm. On the prepared bitumen/granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom including cost of bitumen as per clause No.503 (5th edition) 2013 as per MoRT&H specification (N.S.)

Providing & Laying 30 mm thick compacted Bituminous Concrete (BC) in one layer with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant and with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and with pneumatic tyred roller of 12 to 15 tonne weight with a tyre pressure of at least 0.56 MPA and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 507 MoRT&H specification (5th Revision) 2013 for road and bridge works (5th Revision)2013 using minimum 5.4% to bitumen grade VG-30 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respects including cost of bitumen instruction issued from time to time by MoRT&H regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRT&H specification in mandatory. If bitumen required more than 5.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. (NS). Note: - Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & Stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95% anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and noting extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-Charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor. Note:- Before laying BC on existing black top, cracks shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision clause No. 3004.3. which may consists of (i) Fog seal/ or (ii) crack filling and or (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No. 3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision 2013 respectively. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental to work.

Providing & Marking center line / side line 2.5mm thick (minimum) with hot applied thermo-plastic road marking paint 10 Cms wide/ 15cm wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tolls equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause No. 803 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th revision) of 2013/ Latest edition. Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic material shall be of Asian Paint-Apcomark/ Berger-Sigmarc/ Prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters/ Sovitec/ Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with approporiate ASTM/ BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflectorzing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulou8sly followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads . the method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS:3262 (part-3). Note: - Before start of work the contractor shall given brand, batch no., manufacturing date of thematerial to be used and get approved the same from Engineer-In-Charge before use.

Providing & Laying 80mm thick ISI marked interlocking paver blocks confirming to IS: 15658:2006/ IRC SP 63-2004 of all shapes and colours in design mix cement M-40 over a bed of 30mm thick find sand complete in all respect. [HSR 10.159].

Manufacturing, supplying and laying of precast cement concrete rectangular block (0.45 M x 0.30 M x 0.15 M ) M-30 grade using minimum cement concrete 320 Kg/ per cum with digital batching plant duly compacted with table vibration including setting in position over bed prepared with 25mm thick fine sand and filling up the joints with fine sand (NS).

Reinforced Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Kilometre Stone of Standard design, fixed in position, including finishing but excluding painting- (iii) Kilometre Stone on village roads. (HSR 10.129(iii)

Providing and fixing RCC village Boards 1.85x0.90x0.075mtr with 1:1½:3 including cost of steel and 6mm thick CM plaster 1:4, loading and un-loading carriage at site of work, fixing of site in CC 1:4:8 and painting sign board with synthetic enamel paint two coat complete in all respect as per drawing and design.

Providing and fixing public information board consisting 75mm GI pipe of size 2.45 m x 1.15m with 900mm x 900mm GI Sheet 16 gauge connected/ welded with 5mm thick steel plate of 50mm dully painted as per column mentioned in the drawing and fixing at site in 60x60x75 cm cement conrete 1:2:4 block complete in all respect.

Preparation of berms including filling of earth work, excavation and cutting of earth in all kind of soils including dressing the bank, side slope to given levels and templates after breaking of clouds, including the cost of rolling and watering all allowances for labour hardness wetness irrespective of all lead and lift, but including Compensation for earth taken from private land, fields etc. and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305 and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer of the work conforming to PWD specification No. 6.2 and 6.3 and 3.2 and the other specification 1990 Ist edition. As per X-section attached at DNIT at Section-5 Note:-No earth work will be allowed to be taken from PWD B&R/ ROW except for surplus earth after approval from Engineer.

Pavement Marker (Cat Eyes) Moulded shank raised pavement markers made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 KG tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No. W/NH/33023/10-97-DO III dt. 11.06.1997. The height width and length shall not be exceed 50mm, 100mm and 100 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm. On each side and the slope to the base shall be 35+/- degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19+/-2 mm and height not less than 30+/- mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer (of reputed make such as Avery Dennison/3M)

Providing & erecting OVERHEAD SIGNS gantry supported by M. S. Pipe Structure complete as per drawings, Technical Specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge including construction of R. C. C. foundation for providing of M. S Tubular structure for Cantilever signage at given site as per drawing enclosed. The C. C. mix to be in ratio of 1:1½:3 (RCC 1:1½:3) and that of lean to be ratio of 1:3:6 the work will be carried out as per the instructions of Engineer-In-Charge. Note: Foundation including reinforcement etc. as per Drawing. Cantilever Over head Sign gantry. (r-Type) frame/truss Size- 3.05m x 1.525m

Providing and fixing sign boards on the gantry as provided in item No. 21 above, of Size- Size- 3.05 m x 1.525 m made out of retro-reflective sheeting of high intensity micro prismatic grade conforming to IRC: 67 - 2012 Type IV standards fixed on 4mm thick Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP sheet ) as base board with pressure-sensitive adhesive having 0.5 mm thick Aluminum on both sides. The messages (legends, letters, numerals etc.) and borders of Retro Reflective Boards shall be of cut letters made in transparent overlay film pasted over the base sheeting with pressure sensitive adhesive or as instructed by the manufacturers or as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge. Note:- 1.) Work will be carried out as per MoRTH specification for road and bridges works (5th Revision). 2.) Retro-reflective sheeting of high intensity mirco-prismatic grade confirming to IRC 67-2017 Type-IV Standards shall be of Avery Dennision/3M make only. 3.) Warranty and Durability as per clause 801.3.11 of MoRTH Specification 5th Revision will be applicable which is reproduced as under :- The Contractor shall obtain from the manufacturer a ten year warranty for satisfactory field performance including stipulated retro-reflectance of the retro-reflective sheeting of micro-prismatic sheeting and a seven-year warranty for high intensity grade and submit the same to the Engineer. The warranty shall be inclusive of the screen printed or cut out letters/legends and their bonding to the retro-reflective sheeting. The Contractor /supplier shall also furnish the LOT numbers and certification that the signs and materials supplied against the assigned work meets all the stipulated requirements and carry the stipulated warranty and that the contractor /supplier is the authorized convertor of the particular sheeting. All signs shall be dated during fabrication with indelible markings to indicate the start of warranty. The warranty shall also cover the replacement obligation by the sheeting manufacturer as well as contractor for replacement/repair/restoration of the retro-reflective efficiency. A certificate in original shall be given by the sheeting manufacturer that its offered retro-reflective sheeting has been tested for various parameters such as co-efficient of retro-reflection, day/night time colour and luminance, shrinkage, flexibility, linear removal, adhesion, impact resistance , specular gloss and fungus resistance; the tests shall be carried out by a Government Laboratory in accordance with various ASTM procedures and the results must show that the sheeting has passed the requirements for all the above mentioned parameters. A copy of the test reports shall be attached with the certificate.

Earth work in excavation in foundations, trenches, etc.in all kinds of soils, not exceeding 2 metres depth including dressing of bottom and sides of trenches, stacking the excavated soil, clear from the edge of excavation and subsequent filling around masonry, in 15 cm layers with compaction, including disposal of all surplus soil, as directed within a lead of 30 metres (HSR 6.6)

Dismantling Brick Work, Tile Masonry or Tile Lining and Tile Terracing (i) dry brick work (HSR 8.5(i).

Cement Concrete 1:6:12 with stone aggregate 40mm nominal size in foundation and plinth. (HSR 10.32)

Cement Concrete 1:4;8 with Stone Aggergate 40 mm nominal size in foundation & Plinth (HSR 10.39)

Pdg. Brick-on edge flooring laid in cement sand mortar 1:4 on 75mm thick cement concrete 1:8:16 and 100 mm sand filling and cement pointing 1:2 on top (HSR 14.23)

Cement pointing 1:2 deep variety on brick and tile work. (15.60)

Fe-500 EQR TMT steel bar for RCC work, where not included in the complete rate of RCC including bending, binding & placing in the position complete. (Note:- Reinforcement shall be measured in length including hooks, if any, separately for different diameters as actually used in work, excluding overlaps. From the length so measured, the weight of reinforcement shall be calculated in tones on the basis of IS:1732.Wastage, overlaps, couplings, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire or other methods for binding and placing, shall not be measured and cost of these items shall be deemed to be included in the rates for reinforcement).(NS).

Recovery items:- The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of existing brick work, bituminous layer and granular layers have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed and mentioned as under :- i). Old Bituminious material @ Rs.1238/- P.Cum

ii). Old bricks @ Rs.5.00/- P.Cum

iii). Brick bats @ Rs.400/- P.Cum Note: All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieved material. There shall be no measurement after actual dismantling and if material after dismantling is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quotes lesser than reserve price.
