Clearing and Grubbing road land including uprooting vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees girth up to 300mm, removal of stumps of trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, to all lead and lifts. Including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150mm in thickness as per clause no. 201 of MoRD specification Rural roads-2004.
Earth work excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth-earth-work undressed with all lead & lift including breaking of clods. (HSR 6.2b) , and relaying the same for making of berms and side slopes including laying , dressing, watering & rolling as per HSR 6.2 g-i, g iii & g-v -
Preparation of sub-grade including trenching rough dressing of soil, final dressing of earth to given levels and chamber , watering, rolling with road roller and compacting the bed in all respect before laying paving material [confirming to clause 301 of MoRD specification for Rural Roads-2004] Note: - In widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.
Preparation of berms including filling of Earth work, excavation and cutting of earth in all kind of soils including dressing the bank, side slope to given levels and templates after breaking of clouds, including the cost of rolling and watering all allowances for labour hardness wetness irrespective of all lead and lift, but including Compensation for earth taken from private land, fields etc. and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305 and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer of the work conforming to PWD specification No. 6.2 and 6.3 and 3.2 and the other specification 1990 Ist edition. As per X-section attached at DNIT at Section -9. This item also includes E/W if required in sub grade for Widening and Shoulder. Earth used for sub grade, shoulder and berms should have minimum CBR of 8%. Note:- No earth work will be allowed to be taken from PWD B&R/ ROW except for surplus earth after approval from Engineer
Providing laying, watering and compacting of 150 mm GRANULAR SUB BASE COARSE graded by providing well graded material spreading in uniform layers with mortar grader on prepared surface mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per technical specification of MoRD clause 401 for Rural Roads 2004). Note:- Only crushed material should be used, no local earth/sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero plasticity index (P-I) 2. Material and operation manufacturing shall be approved by Engineer.

Providing and applying Tack coat of VG 10 (80/100 grade) bitumen using bitumen @ 0.25 kg per sqmall inclusive including clearing and blowing dust off the surface using a compressor and brooms ( conforming to clause 503 of MoRD specification-2004). Instructions issued from time to time by MoRD regarding bitumen VG-10 will be followed strictly.
Providing & Laying 30 mm thick compacted Bituminous Concrete (BC) in one layer with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant with bitumen binder VG-30 @ 5.4% minimum including waste plastic meterial to the extent of 7% of bitumen by weight of total mix with proper arrangement for addition of plastic waste at proper stage and filler, transporting the hot mix plant to work of site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 507 of MORT&H specification - 2013 complete in all respect and IRC:SP:98-2013. Guidelines for the use of waste plastic in hot bituminious mixer (Dry Proce-2013.ss) in wearing course. The properties of the bituminous concrete mix shall conform to table - 3 of IRC:SP:98-2013. If bitumen required more than 5.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. Note: - (i) Where there is only BC on existing black top, cracks shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision clause No. 3004.3, which may consists of (i) Fog seal/ or (ii) crack filling and or (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No. 3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision respectively. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental to work. ii) Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS – 6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti – stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and nothing extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor.

Providing & Marking center line / side line 2.5mm thick (minimum) with hot applied thermo-plastic road marking paint 10cms wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tolls equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause No. 1702 of MoRD specification . Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian Paint-Apcomark/Berger-Sigmarc/Prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters/Sovitec/Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-Charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflectorzing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads .the method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS:3262 (part-3). Note:- Before start of work the contractor shall give brand , batch no. , manufacturing date of the material to be used and get approved the same from Engineer-In-Charge before use.

Providing and fixing sign boards on the gantry as provided in the item No. 17 above, of size 3.05m x 1.525m made out of retro-reflective sheeting of high intensity micro prismatic grade confirming to IRC:67 – 2012 Type IV standard fixed on 4mm thick Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP sheet) as base board with pressure-sensitive adhesive numerals etc.) and borders of Retro Reflective Boards with pressure-sensitive adhesive having 0.5 mm thick Aluminum on both sides. The message (legends, letters, numerals etc.) and borders of Retro Reflective Boards shall be of cut letters made in transparent overlay film pasted over the base sheeting with pressure sensitive adhesive or as instructed by the manufacturers or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- 1.) Work will be carried out as per MoRTH specification for road and bridges works (5th revision). 2.) Retro-reflective sheeting of high intensity micro-prismatic grade confirming to IRC 67-2017 Type-IV Standard shall be of Avery Dennision/3M make only. 3.) Warranty and Durability as per clause 801.3.11 of MoRTH Specification 5th Revision will be applicable which is reproduced as under:- The contractor shall obtain from the manufacturer a ten year warranty for satisfactory field performance including stipulated retro-reflectance of the retro-reflective sheeting of micro-prismatic sheeting and a seven-year warranty for high intensity grade and submit the same to the Engineer. The warrenty shall be inclusive of the screen printed or cut out letters/legends and their bonding to the retro-reflective sheeting. The contractor/supplier shall also furnish the LOT numbers and certification that the signs and materials supplied against the assigned work meets all the stipulated requirements and carry the stipulated warranty and that the contractor / supplier is the authorized convertor of the particular sheeting. All signs shall be dated during fabrication with indelible markings to indicate the start of warranty. The warranty shall also cover the replacement obligation by the sheeting manufacturer as well as contractor for replacement/repair/restoration of the retro-reflective efficiency. A certificate in original shall be given by the sheeting manufacturer that its offered retro-reflective sheeting has been tested for various parameters such as co-efficient of retro-reflection, day/night time colour and luminance, shrinkage, flexibility, linear removal, adhesion, impact resistance, specular gloss and fungus resistance; the tests shall be carried out by a Government Laboratory in accordance with various ASTM procedures and the results must show that the sheeting has passes the requirements for all the above mentioned parameters. A copy of the test reports shall be attached with the certificate.

Note:- I) The item for which no rate or price has been entered in will not be paid for by the Employer when executed and shall be deemed to be covered by the other rates and prices in the bill of Quantities (Refer: ITB Clause 13.2 and Part I General Condition of Contract 39.3) II) Unit rates and prices shall be quoted by the bidder in Indian rupees [ITB Clause 14.1] III) For Routine Maintenance, the unit rate indicated by the authority shall apply. The Bidder is required to accept these rates. Further, the payment shall be performance based. Note:- In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR/MoRD items depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR, the unit and nomenclature given in HSR shall be applicable.
