REPAIRS TO BITUMINOUS CARPETING ALONGWITH POT HOLES AT CERTAIN PLACES IN TECHNICAL AND DOMESTIC AREA AND ROAD SIDE FURNITURE AT AF STN PURNEA UNDER AGE I AF PURNEA

Material & Labour for repairs to pot holes of exc. 30mm depth, and n.exc. 1.00 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc., cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth and making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer at 5kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen VG-10 grade , putting in premix bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder using paving bitumen VG-30 grade @ 9.8 kg per 10 sqm blended with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of pre-mixed macadam, binder and chippings) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour preparation of old bituminous/ black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour for Premix bituminous macadam (consolidate thickness 75mm or less) using crushed stone aggregate with binder (Paving bitumen VG-30 with 4% by weight of total mix) laid/rolled and compacted with hydrostatic mechanical paver/sensor paver as per requirment rolled and compacted to required radient and camber to smooth uniform surfaces with 8 to 12 tonne tandom vibratory roller to acheive required compaction complete all as specified and irected by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer @ 5 kg per 10 sqm with paving bitumen (grade VG 10) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder (paving bitumen (grade VG 30) content by weight of total mix, spread evenly with mechanical paver to desired thickness and to the correct camber, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 10 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: 1. Premix SDAC shall be procured from a Hot Mix Plant . 2. Exact quantity of binder to be used shall be ascertained by Design Mix as specified. 3. The binder content in the mix shall be minimum 5.5 % by weight of total mix. However, in case more than 5.5% binder content is required as per design mix, the same shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost). 4. Binder content and density testing equipment should be readily available at site.

M&L for preparing & cleaning new black bitumenous surfaces of road by removing all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. with coir brushes or other means as required and applying 2.5 mm thick hot thermoplastic paint (retro reflective type) @ 5Kg per Sqm and applying glass gnt @ 300gms/Sqm over painted surface for road marking in white/yellow shade by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine, fitted with profile shoe gun beads dispencer propane tank heaters and profile shoe heatdriver by skilled operator on road surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- Refer MORTH specification of Para 803.4.2.1 and 800.4.2.2 on bitumenous surfaces in white/yellow colour super imposed with glass beads conforming to BS 6088 and MORTH specification and 803.4.3.3.

Demolition of unreinforced concrete in ground floors and pavings n exc 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete.

M&L for preparation of new concrete surface of any described over 10cm width or girth and applying two coat of synthetic enamel paint complete, all as specified and as directed.

S&F retro reflective Mandatory/ Regulatory sign boards of 900 mm diametre with support length of 3750 mm and made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type - V of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, message (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc. as per IRC ; 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class -2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm c/c to back support frame of M.S. angle iron of size 25x25x3 mm along with theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos. M.S. angles of size 35x35x5 mm to a vertical post made up to M.S. Tee section ISMT 50x50x6 mm welded with base plate of size 100x100x5 mm at the bottom end and including making holes in pipes, angles flats, providing & fixing M.S. message plate of required size, steel work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint of required shade and of approved brand & manufacture over priming coat of zinc chromate yellow primer (vertical MS-Tee support to be painted in black and white colours).Backside of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint over and including appropriate priming coat including all leads and lifts etc. complete as per drawing, specification and direction of Engineer-in-charge.
