Execution of Armoured 12F Single mode OFC Cable laying work and Fiber termination to a Wall Mounted Cabinet for FTI Purpose - Works

Laying of underground armoured 12 Core, Single Mode (SM) OFC Cable from FTI room to RCAG site through 1.5 feet width and 4 feet depth trench and HDPE conduit (3 inch diameter) on either side of the road. 1. The trench has to be prepared with first layer of bricks, will put HDPE pipe, then second layer will be bricks, will put high visibility Ribbon tape, final layer with soft sand. 2. HDPE pipe and GI pipe environmentally sealed properly where ever laid.3. Three mm Continuous guide wire without joints within/inside GI and HDPE pipes for laying /Pulling cables. 4. Routing Diagram is attached for reference.

Laying a high-visibility tape/ribbon marked with a warning 1.5 feet above the cable.

Fixing of GI Conduit 6” dia. About 3 mm thickness and 6m length to cross the culvert along the laying path. While crossing Culverts GI Pipe should be placed at suitable height by constructing two plinths (Cement) on both sides of crossing culvert to support GI pipe, total- 8 Cement Plinths.

16SWG GI sheet Route Markers shall be erected in the shape of a Flag of size 10 inch X 6 inch to be marked as “FTI OFC”. The flag will be on a 3 feet iron rod out of which 1.5 feet will be embedded in the ground at an interval of 100 meters and at any turning in the path of OFC cable

Laid OFC cable fibers 12F are to be spliced & terminated with LC connectors (LC 100base LX single mode) in a wall mounted Optical termination box metallic type at each location. Total- 6 OTBs 1. Proper attention has to be provided for routing of tubes and drop/patch cable 2. Bend radius maintenance at all points 3. Key to prevent un authorized access 4. Cable and FRP holding options 5.FTTx application 6. Sample wall mounted Optical termination box attached for reference.

Back Filling and Dressing of the Trench with excavated soft earth sand

Testing: Providing a performance report on each fiber core in the bundle at the time of completion. The testing device used to provide this data is the OTDR. The signal loss of each Core shall be 0.5 dB per kilometer or less (1310nm). Each splice (such as between the fiber and the LC connector can be expected to incur additional signal loss of .3 dB or less. The higher Signal loss readings may indicate that the fiber installation has severe bends, which can’t be accepted. The contractor has to ensure to rectify abnormal signal losses at his own cost, efforts and without any time delay.

Supply of Wall mounted Optical termination box metallic type at each location. OFC cable fibers 12F, SM are to be spliced & terminated with LC connectors (type LC 100base LX single mode connector) panel. Diagram attached.
