Repair Maintenance of DG Sets of various capacities and allied system installed and Repair/Maintenance of Highmast lights, Streetlights and other connected items at water supply installations under GE (U) Udhampur.

Servicing of diesel engine generating set of capacity 500 KVA/600KVA of any make, including the following works are as under: - (a) Servicing of Engine (i) Re-greasing all grease points. (ii) Tighten the nuts, bolts of pipe lines of fuel oil, lubricating oil, water and check for leakages and examine the all main connections. (iii) Check water/coolant level in radiator. (iv) Check crank case oil level. (v) Clean/replaced lubrication oil filters. (vi) Clean/replaced air filters. (vii) Check that lubricating oil contains no water. Examine lubricating oil and renew if needed (viii) Check tappet clearance and all nuts for tightness. (ix) Wash felt pads of fuel filter. (x) Drain air receiver. (xi) Grease valve stems. (xii) Check all wiring, battery water level, gravity of battery, inspect all bushes and bush holder, cleaning of surface of commutators. (b) Servicing of alternators (i) Check temp rise of bearings. (ii) Check bushes on exciter commutator and the alternator slip rings run without chattering or sparking. (iii) Check if bushes freely slide in holder and whether bush springs are in order.

(iv) Check if oil rings are freely rotating in the bearings. (v) Check oil level in bearings. (vi) Wipe clean the alternator and exciter. (vii) Check all wiring and rectify any defect with new wiring. (viii) Surface and clean the commutator. (ix) Take insulation and earth test on alternator and exciter and if defective investigate cause and remedy. (x) Check joints, clamping and bolting in all the wiring including control panels and rectify any defects. (xi) Check greases in all roller and ball bearings and make up if inadequate. (xii) Check the degree of wear of commutator bushes and renew if necessary. (xiii) Tighten all nuts in the rotors of alternator and exciter. (xiv) Check air gaps between starters and rotors and clean off any projections on the rotor. (C) Clean the complete bottom inner/outer side up to floor level carried out with kerosene. all accessible associated internal parts were also cleaned throughly with kerosene to the maximum ossible extent. Note for item No. 1 to 4 : Items to be replaced will be measured and paid separately, as supply only and labour for fixing deemed to be include as part of servicing.

Supply & Fix fuel filter primary & secondary. (Set of Two) suitable of existing make & specification for 200 KVA DG set complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply & Fix fuel filter primary & secondary. (Set of Two) suitable of existing make & specification for 40 KVA to 100 KVA DG set complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply & Fix Oil filter element suitable (in replacement) of existing make & specification for 500/600 KVA DG set. Complete complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
