Certain repairs to 2 x 3.15 MVA, 33/11 KVA Transformers at Udasar Sub Station under GE (N) Bikaner

Disconnecting HT/LT connection of burnt/defective copper/aluminium wound transformer of capacity 3150 KVA, taking down transformer from installed at Udasar, inspection/assessing the defective/burnt parts, core assembly of transformer in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge and then shifting the transformer to the workshop at Bikaner/Jaipur as approved by the GE (N) Bikaner for repair, cleaning and making good surface including internal cleaning, removing sludge, washing and painting with one coat of zinc chromate paint to inner side of the transformer body and one coat of synthetic enameled paint on the outer side of transformer body with spray painting machine after cleaning and removing oil spots from the body and re-assembling and testing at workshop on full load and depositing the same to the AGE E/M store yard complete all as specified and as directed. (a) Operning of transformer top cover by extraction, removing of serviceable - unserviceable nut bolts and washer etc in presence of detailed BOO. (b) Lifting primary coil (HV) and secondary coil (HV), dismantling of transformer complete part by part carefully, and display all the part without damaging any position for inspection of BOO detailed by Accepting Officer in presence of GE contractor shall make arrangement for videography of the same. (c) Refilling topping up of transformer oil after dehyderation and filteration in transformer. (d) Reassembling the transformer complete with all existing serviceable parts, and new parts as ordered. (e) Reinstalled the transformer at site in position as directed after repair connecting HV, LV electrical connections, earthing connections and testing to entire satisfaction on load. Notes :- (i) Replacement of unserviceable parts like, bush insulator, brass studs, breather assembly, rewinding, reinsulation of primary and secondary coil with copper winding wire, dehyderation and filteration of transformer oil etc shall be measured and paid seperately under appropriate item of this schedule. (ii) Replacement of adequate size nut, bolts and washer of transformer top cover shall be deemed to be included in unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) After inspection of BOO as detailed by Accepting Officer, GE shall be responsible to decide about the actual repair work to be carried in the transformer based on recommendation of the board and intimate to contractor in writing for the same.

Supply and fixing in replacement LV/HV leg coils with insulation varnishing and packing of coil assembly vacuum impregnation/oven dried made out of proper size copper wire/conductor super enameled of high quality matching with existing impedances and providing class ‘E’ insulation for any capacity of distribution / power transformer complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Unserviceable transformer coil retrieved against this item, will be cut, completely damaged and converted into scrap in front of Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply only HV bush assembly of 33/11 KV 3.15/5 MVA Power Transformer complete with insulator bushing rod, check nuts, washers, packing complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only LV bush assembly of 33/11 KV 3.15/5 MVA Power Transformer complete with insulator bushing rod, check nuts, washers, packing complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only Gasket set made of rubberised cork/neoprene material for power transformer 33/11 KV of capacity 3.15/5 MVA complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement breather assembly with fresh silica gel for transformer of capacity 3.15 MVA to 5 MVA complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparation of old painted surface of transformer, 11 KV/ 433 volts (Exposed external surface only) installed at site of any installation in Cantt area, capacity 315 KVA to 1000 KVA transformer installed on pole mounted, indoor/out door plinth mounted, by using coarse cloth/sore brush and painting with one coat of synthetic enamel grey paint with the help of spray gun , complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F Danger notice plate of 25x20cm size, 1.6mm thick mild steel sheet, vitreous enameled white, with letters, figures and conventional skull and bones in signal red colour for HT 11000 / 33000 Volts and fixed with suitable MS clamps made out of flat iron 25x3mm, bolts and nuts of approved size, fixed in repairs, complete all as specified & as directed.

Supply and filling new mineral grade transformer oil EHV type conforming to IS-335 of 1993 for topping up in transformer duly filtered with filtration plant to obtain high dielectric strength not less than 40 KV (gap 2.5mm) complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Transformer oil shall be supplied in sealed barrels with test certificate. Cost of barrel shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor and empty barrel will be the property of the Department and same shall be deposited to the AGE E/M Store Yard. Nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

Dehydration & filtration of transformer oil with portable filtration cum dehydration machine to improve the dielectric strength, not less than 50 to 60 KV within 1 minute with 4 mm Gap at site of any installation in Cantt area of any capacity/make of transformer installed on pole mounted, indoor/outdoor type plinth mounted complete all as specified and as directed. Notes: (i) All necessary T&P / testing equipment shall be provided by the contractor at his own cost. No extra payment shall be made to the contractor. (ii) Contractor shall ensure that there shall be no wastage of transformer oil. (iii) Contractor shall ensure that conservator tank is full to its level before starting the dehydration. (iv) New Transformer Oil required for topping up shall be measured and paid for separately under relevant item of this Schedule. (v) Testing of dielectric strength of dehydrated transformer oil of each transformer shall be carried out in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge and cost thereof shall be borne by the contractor.

Supply and fixing in repairs aluminium strip of size 50mm x 6mm thick, 15cm long, 4 Nos (three Nos in phase and one No in neutral) including drilling, bending, nuts, bolts and washers of appropriate size to transformer of LT side bushing rod complete all as specified and as directed.
