E/W in cutting or in embankment in ordinary soil excavation to be in the form of regular pits not exceeding 1/2 meter (20") in depth & earth work in embankment to be in 20cm (8:) layers, i/c ramming & dressing the surface to required levels & slopes & also i/c 1.5m (5:) lift & 30m (100") lead. The earth from cutting to be deposited as spoil banks within 30m (100") distance in directed by the E/I as per. A.R.

Excavation of foundation in ordinary soil (loam, clay or sand) i/c lift upto 1.50 meter & lead upto 30 meter & i/c filling, watering & ramming of excavated earth into the foundation trenches or into space between the building & sides of foundation & disposal of surplus earth as directed by the E/I upto a distance of 30 meter from the foundation trenches.
