Earth work in Cuttning or in embakment in ordinary soil ,excavation to be in the form of irregular pits and earthwork in embakment to be in 20 cm layers including ramming and dressing the surface to the required level and slopes and also including lead up to 30 M and lift upto 1.50 M .The earth from cutting to be used in making embakment or to be deposited as spoil bank within 30m.distance as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Earth work in Foundation in dry ordinary soil (Loam,clay or sand)includin lift upto 1.80 M lead up to 30 M and including filling,watering and ramming of excavated earth into the trench or into the space between the structure and the side of foundation trenches or into the plinth with removel and disposal of surplus earth as directed by the Engineer-in-charge upto a distance of 30 m. from the foundation trenches.
