Permanent repairs on Port Gear Box (Make- M/s Elecon Engg CO Pvt Ltd, Vallabh Vidhyanagar, Gujrat, Model- ASL-69)output shaft flange hair line crack to be carried out as per OEM firm’s recommendations onboard ICGS Sangram at Goa. Scope of Job as below:-

A Scope of work onboard - Removal of output shaft assembly with damaged flange fitted in port Gearbox a Draining of Gearbox oil b Disconnection of all electrical connections from junction box for electrical sensors c Disconnection of all hydraulic system pipes of Gearbox auxiliaries near vicinity of Gearbox top casing d Removal of all auxiliaries (i.e. Built-on sea water pump, Turning gear with motor, Built on secondary lub oil e Removal of all bearing RTDs f Disconnection/ removal of pressure switches g Disconnection/ removal of instrumentation piping in local indication panel h Removal of LIP if required j Dismantling of output shaft plain bearing housing top half for removal of ahead & astern thrust pads k Removal of output shaft pain bearing top cover L Lifting of Gearbox top housing m Dismantling of output shaft assembly from the Gearbox and preparation for transporting to Elecon B Transportation to Elecon a Transportation of the removed output shaft assembly to Elecon C Scope of work at Elecon – Dismantling off output shaft assembly and removal of bull gear for re-use a Removal of bull gear from damaged output shaft- either using hydraulic press & maximator or by boring of output b Dimensional inspection of bull gear and its bore (based on dimension of bull gear bore, tolerance to be maintained in the new output shaft) D Machining of new output shaft: * Cost not included in the scope of this work E Scope of work at Elecon – Assembly of output shaft using new shaft and old bull gear a Fitment of old bull gear on the new output shaft by shrink fit F Transportation return a Transportation of new shaft assembly for delivery onboard G Scope of work onboard – Fitment of output shaft assembly in Port Gearbox and boxing up the Gearbox a Fitment of the output shaft assembly into the Gearbox b Fitment of all mechanical, hydraulic and electrical parts removed at Ser A and boxing up the gearbox for trials H Harbour Trials a Harbour Trials J Sea Trials a Sea Trials
