REPAIRS TO HANDRAILS WOODEN ARCHES PACKINGS IN HERITAGE BUILDINGS AT INHS ASVINI

Supply and fixing in repars for Mild steel framed work in railings of heritage buildings incl framed guard bars, framed balusters, walk ways etc confirming to Fe 290 Gde -E- 165 complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Note :- The design and pattern shall be passed by Engr-in-charge.

Supply and fixing in repairs 1st class softwood Handrails of required (Design approved by Engr-in-charge) size rounded or shaped with moulded faces as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Supply and fixing in repairs 1st class soft wood louvred frames in semi circular or rectangular design 80 to 100mm wide with fixed louvres of 15mm to 20mm thick, frame put together with glue, pinned at joints complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Note :- (i) The work will be carried out in Arches of Heritage buildings and thickness of frame will be not less than 75mm. (ii) The building height is upto 30mtrs from ground level and Contractor is deemed to provide necessary safety arrangements, scaffolding, ropes, tools and plants etc and Quote the rate accordingly.

S&F mild steel holdfast & similar small articles confirming to Fe 290 gde-E-165 inclding necessary drilling, moulding,cutting and fixing with necessary required concrete or plaster work and making the surface smooth or even complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for preparation of new or old treated wood and wood based surface of any description, over 10cm in width or girth and applying two coat of PU Enamel paint over a under coating of wood filler of required thickness upto smooth surface complete all as specified and directed. Application Method:- (i) cleaning the surface with sand paper 180 to remove loose particles, paint, dust/grease and cracked or flaked paint. wipe clean. (ii) Smoothen the surface by filling dents with thin coats of putty and allow drying for 6-8 hours and sand with sanding paper 180 & wipe clean. (iii) Mix the PU enamel thoroughly before use. Thin a litre of PU Enamel with 80-100ml of wood tech A1 MTO and apply 2 coats with and interval of 8 hours between successive coats.

M&L for repairs to existing damaged concrete handrails by cutting out loose and deteriorated concrete and making good the damaged portions with PCC 1:2:4 type B-0 using 12.50mm graded stone aggregate as in coping or in vertical portion finishing smoothly to receive paints , slightly rounded or chamfered .The work shall include all necessary formwork, curing, and finishing complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparing old concrete plastered surfaces of walls and applying two coats of oil bound distemper complete all as specified.

M&L for preparing new or previously untreated steel surfaces of any description over 10 cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel over a coat of red oxide primer paint complete all as specified.
