Cleaning cut stones using mild hydrofloric acid and powder approved brand and quality using high pressure gage gun with compressor machine with necessary scrapping charges for old painting materials and other unwanted silt and dust after cleaning with smooth surface from bottom to top cut stone with good looking condition without any damage of the exisiting stone of the heritage building.The rate is inclusive of cost of materials, labour charges, transporting charges and hire charges for compressor machine and pressure gauge gan machine set with necessary lifting charges etc., complete as directed by the departmental officers.
Renewing the damaged ornamental cornice around the outer wall cornice portion as per existing style and clues to a height of 0.25m with top and bottom width of 0.28m and 0.08m respectively including removing the brick work and redoing the brick work in lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) and plastering with lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) 30mm thick laid in two layers and finishing with lime mortar 1:1.5 (one lime and one and half sand) 6mm thick (Theeravai) using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Easing and repairing hanging doors, window shutters and refixing the same after attending the petty repairs including fixing furniture fittings and excluding cost of furniture fittings etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. Item to include complete finishing of the shutters as directed by the departmental officers. (The rate inclusive of cost of all teakwood materials, labour wrought and putup of door frames and shutters , cost of all furniture fittings, labour charges for fixing in position etc., complete complying with standard specifications (two leaves).

Art Plaster: Gentle scraping to remove all earlier layers of paint and lime on art plaster, at all heights, and restoring it wherever damaged using 1:3 Lime Mortar and finishing it with fione mortar using brick masonry set in 1:0.5: 3 Lime surki mortar, plastered with 1:3 LM finished with 1:2 fine ground LM etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Stitching of cracks using 12mm dia. and 2’ long SS‐rods . The rods should be applied with a layer of anti‐corrosive paint, the ends of the rod to be bent at 6’’ each then to be inserted into the masonry after drilling a hole and making a 1/2" groove in the masonry, packing with lime mortar and making good the masonry etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Supplying and fixing cuddapah stone sunshade arrangements using 40mm thick cuddapah slab inserted to existing wall surface and pointing the stone slab etc. The sunshade has to be proper support arragements like iron hook etc. The rate is inclusive cost of cuddapah slab, necessary dismantling the existing wall and redoing the same using necessary jointing materials, labour charges for fixing and necessary supporting arrangements of cuddapah sunshade etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Teakwood wrought & putup for joist, beam, rafters and purlins,etc., which are in full length new member placed for supporting the Madras Terrace roof/ Mangalore tiles roof or any other area in all floor as directed by the departmental officers by using well seasoned superior quality and approved variety of teakwood for heritage building work including fixing of iron holdfasts incase of doors, windows and ventilators etc.,and excluding cost of holdfasts and making necessary size holes in the masonry to receive the ends of wooden joists, beams, etc., all fixtures and fastenings etc., complete. Item to include all moulding and chamber to be made as per original design indicated by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of teakwood, labour charges for wrought and putup to the existing clue/design, fixing in position to true alignment and gradient wherever necessary. Complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers (sample of teakwood to be shown to the Executive Engineer concerned for approval before use on work). Application of Solignum on the wooden surface should also be done. In all floors
Providing Brick Work in Dome portions of fort using Country Bricks of suitable size with thickness varying from 25mm to 50mm using special grinded lime mortar 1:2 (one part of lime two part of sand) well grinded in a grinding yard and special grinding with great care by adding extract of galnut and jaggery at the rate of 10kg/m3 of mortar(The lime used for this work should be procured from pollachi as per ASI norms) etc., complete and as directed by the departmental officers. The rate includes cost of all materials and all labour charges required for the works.
Providing water membarane treatement to the leaky terrace using Synthetic Butadine Rubber sheet (SBR) including hacking the surfaces and roughening the old RCC roof surface with wire brushes and tools wherever necessary and the Synthetic Butadine Rubber sheet (SBR) has been laying before weathering course brick jelly concrete and with using necessary SBR adhesive to carefuly laying with proper joints ( the joints over lap to be not more than over lap 15cm to 20cm ) etc, including labour for laying the sheets etc complete including curing and finishing neatly complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Supplying and fixing ISMB 500 girder of size 500mmx180mmx10.20mm for 5 m and above for the various spans using laid below the madras terrace roof in the places of rafters to support the roof and also along the either side of walls below the wooden rafter and fixed ISMB-500 ‘I’ Section over the cable blocks the rate including cost of dismantling the brick work wherever necessary for fixing the ‘I’ Section and redoing the same and also the cost of ‘I’ Section labour charges hire charges for welding machineries, hoist for lifting and hire charges for hydraulic manuals Jacky, two legged scaffolding, centering for adjacent rafters and other allied tools etc., complete including the cost of porting of ISMB-500 ‘I’ section etc and one coat of red oxide primer etc., complete. The I beam has to be supported on brick wall usig appropiate blocks so as to support the madras terrace roofing in all the floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Laying of roofing with Mangalore tiles over flat tiles set in Lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) using lime in all floors with flat tiles of size 150mm x 150mm x 12mm including Teak wood reepers of size (50mm x 12mm) complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. (The rate includes the cost of all materials like Mangalore tiles, flat tiles, and labour charges for laying of Mangalore tiles with flat tiles roof in position)
Redoing of Madras Terrace roof in all floors with one layer of brick on edge course laid as first layer over the existing Teakwood joists, Beams, I Sections, etc., which are placed at roof level in all floors using specially manufactured Terrace bricks for heritage works of size 150mm x 75mm x 25mm in lime mortar 1:1.5 (one lime and one and half sand). The second layer is laid with specially manufactured Terrace bricks for Heritage works of size 150mm x 75mm x 25mm in flat manner in lime mortar 1:2 ( one lime and two sand) 20mm thick as base layer laid over the top of brick on edge course. Brick jelly lime concrete using broken brick jelly of size 20mm uniform gauge in pure slaked lime (no sand to be added) to the proportion of brick jelly to lime being 32:12.50 by volume laid over the second layer of terrace bricks for an average consolidated thickness of 100mm in a single layer of required slope/level as directed and finished by beating the concrete with wooden beaters of approved pattern, keeping the surface constantly wet by sprinkling lime jaggery (PALM JAGGERY) water. (Galnut of 10kg and jaggery of 10kg per one sq.m). The beating of the concrete is done continuously until the brick jelly lime concrete is well hardened. After ensuring the harden surface of brick jelly lime concrete, flat tiles of 150mm x 150mm x 25mm of specially manufactured superior quality to suit the heritage works is laid in two consecutive layers in lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two sand) 15mm thick for each layer of flat tiles. The base mortar provided for the top course of flat tiles is mixed with SBR (Synthetic Butadiene Rubber) Polymer at the rate of 0.5 litres for one sq.m is applied for water proofing chemical treatment including neat finishing.
The Materials like Terrace bricks for the heritage work as from Thirukkattupalli and Pollachi lime should only be used. The period of interval between laying of I layer, II layer of terrace bricks, brick jelly lime concrete and flat tiles in two consecutive layers as directed by the departmental officers etc., complete complying with standard specifications. The Madras Terrace roof laid over the roof joist, beam, etc., is well embedded in the wall to the required distance as directed by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of all materials like terrace brick for heritage works, brick jelly 20mm, Pollachi lime, flat tiles and SBR chemicals and labour charges for laying all items of works). Pollachi lime should only be used for preparation of mortar, brick jelly lime concrete etc. The Terrace bricks, flat tiles should got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works. The overall thickness of madras terrace roof laid is to be of 300mm as detailed below. Brick on edge course (I layer) = 75mm Base mortar for laying terrace bricks = 20mm Laying of terrace bricks (II layer) = 25mm Brick jelly lime concrete = 100mm Base mortar for flat tiles = 15mm Laying flat tiles(I course) = 25mm Base mortar for flat tiles (II layer) = 15mm Flat tiles (II course) = 25mm Total thickness = 300mm
Finishing the top of roof with one course of machine pressed tiles of size 230mm x 230mm x 20mm of approved quality set in Cement Mortar 1:3 (One Cement and Three Sand) 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound conforming to ISS at 2% by weight of cement used and the joints pointed neatly to full depth of tiles with the same cement mortar mixed with red oxide and water proofing compound including curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Replastering ( base plastering) the brick wall, pillars and arches, etc., with lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) to a thickness of 30 mm laid in two layers of 15mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Revarnishing with old/ new wood work with two coats of best melamine varnish of approved quality and brand including preparation of surface etc.. The rate is inclusive the cost of all material, labour charges and finishing neatly etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers
Painting wood work with two finishing coats of synthetic enamel ready mixed paint of good quality and approved variety and colour over one coat priming coat in all floors including the cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)
Painting iron works such as steel doors, windows, ventilators, window bars, balustrades etc., with two coats of best approved first quality and colour of synthetic enamel paint over the existing red oxide priming coat in all floors excluding cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)
Providing pest control with antitermite treatement drilling holes at junction of walls with floors at 300mm intervals and injucting chemical emulsion on those with cement etc. making holes along the vertical surface out side the walls at 150mm intervals to the depth of 450mm pointing chemical emulsion into the holes and closing holes with chemical etc. spraying all surface of treatment is to be done as per IS code no:5313/ Part III 1981 with approved chemical.(The chemical is to be used on the work should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on work) etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Laying Brick jelly lime concrete in lime mortar 1:2 ( One lime and two brick jelly ) (no sand to be added) using 20 mm gauge brick jelly for foundation, flooring including dewatering wherever necessary and laid in layers well rammed, consolidated etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Paving the floor with best approved quality fine polished Granite Stone Slabs of size 1200 x 600 of 18 / 20mm thick of Jet Black with machine cut edges laid over a cement mortar bed of 20mm thick using cement mortar 1:3 (One cement and three sand) fixing the slabs with required cement slurry and laid in true right angles with minimum possible width of joints and pointing the joints with white cement mixed with mathcing colouring pigments etc., The granite stone slabs and other materials to be used shall be got approved by the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work, etc., complete as per standard specification.
Paving the floor with best approved quality sadharhalli granite rough/natural finish granite 75mm thick of grey and similar varieties with machine cut edges laid over a lime mortar bed of 20mm thick using lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) fixing the slabs with required lime slurry and laid in true right angles with minimum possible width of joints and pointing the joints with white cement mixed with matching colouring pigments etc., the granite stone slabs and other materials to be used shall be got approved of the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Painting two coats of newly plastered wall surface with ready mixed plastic emulsion paint of first class quality and of approved colour over a priming coat including thorough scrapping, clean removal of dirt, and including necessary plaster of paris putty, wherever required etc., complete complying with standard specification.

Dismantling and clearing away carefully and stacking materials useful for reuse of damaged Mangalore tile roofing including removal of pan tiles , wooden reeper with T.W. planks and stocking of the useful materials etc. complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Renewing and fixing eaves board of size 25cm x 2cm using teakwood of best quality as per existing style inluding cost of teakwood, labour wrought and putup, labour charges for fixing in position etc. complete complying with standard specification.
Renewing the damaged sunshade of trapezoidal shape with new superior quality of teak wood, Manglore tile roofing at the top. The sunshade if fixed on wall with teak wood of size 80mmx 100 mm fixed on the wall directly, additional inclined brcing provides on the sides of window using teak wood sized 80mm x 80mm , the top teak wood 50mm x 80mm in cross section from the wall is rested at end running member 80mm x 100mm . The top manglore tiles are rested on best teak wood reepers of size 50mm x 25mm . the rate inclusive of cost of dismantling damged tile, teak wood members without damaging to the wall, refixing, labour charges, but excluding of scaffolding charges, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Manufacturing supplying and fixing in position of teracotta jally 20x20x0.75cm thick approved quality and design in cement slurry including cost of materials labour curing lifting fixing in position etc, complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers in all floors.
Construction of mortar pit of size 0.90x0.45m with necessary earth work excavation of sand filling 15cm thick, PCC 1:5:10, 8cm thick brick partition wall 11.50cm thick to a height of 60cm with plastering 1:5, 12mm thick on both sides etc complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Supply and fixing of Water CO2 Stored Pressure Type 9 litres capacity Fire Extinguisher as per new IS 15683 complete with control valve, gun metal cap, pressure gauge, operation sticker, discharge hose, wall mounting bracket, safety clip, etc., as directed by the Departmental Officers.
Supply and fixing of stored pressure ABC (Mono Ammonium Phospate) Powder Type Fire Extinguisher of 6 kg. capacity as per IS 15683 with pressure gauge, discharge hose & control nozzie, wall mounting bracket, safety clip etc., ncluding conveyance, all incidental charges, necessary scaffolding and re-doing the dismantled portions to its original condition whererver found necessary etc complete as per standard specification and as directed by the Departmental Officers. Collecting the scattered debris from the campus and conveying away the same to outside by lorry to a lead of 6KM including loading and unloading charges and dumping in low places and leveling etc., complete.
