Material and labour for the removal of Rubber deposits from runway surfaces using waterblasting cum vaccuming system with suitable operating pressure so that the total Rubber deposits are removed from Runway (both Rigid and Flexible) surfaces by the method of water blasting cum vaccuming system with suitable water pressure without use of any chemical & causing no damage to the existing surfaces complete. The Tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting the rates of this item :- Notes : (i) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator. (ii) Total Rubber deposits should be removed and the Debries/Water to be Vaccumed Simultaneously leaving no FOD so that the Runway is available for operation immediately. (iii) The Machine make to be deployed for Runway Rubber Removal should have E-in-C approval eg SH8000, SH5000, Sk3000 of make STRIPE HOG or equivalent. (iv) Rubber Deposit Should be in solid form when finally disposed off outside MOD land. (v) In any emergency condition, the machine (along with workers) should exit from the Runway in less than 3 minutes without leaving FOD. (vi) Friction Test should be carried out before and after Rubber Deposits removal operation. The requisite friction test machine will be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. Nothing extra will be admissible to the contractor on this account. (vii) After carrying out rubber removal operation on the Runway the friction reading of the rubber removed segment /area should be the minimum 0.55 µ .

M&L for preparing of old black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with using air blowers to remove all loose dirt, rubber deposits complete and appplying Polymer Modified emulsion (PME) by using spraying machine having penetration value 10-20 mm and initial setting time of 4-5 hours, but not more than 8 hours. First coatwith 0.6 ltr ( undiluted) PME diluted in 0.6 Ltr water, to be applied uniformally on each 1 sqm area mixed with mechanical filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME and ensure uniform finish of PME on fexible surface with mechanical application through spraying machine and using specially designed mopper for mopping the surface, complete all as per manufacturers instructions and complete all as directed. Name of Manufacturers:- (i) M/s L N Petro Chem Private Limited. (ii) M/s Hindustan Colas Private Limited. (iii) M/s Ooms Polymer Modified Bitumen Pvt Ltd or any other make approved by E-in-C’s Branch. The Tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting the rates of this item :- Notes :- (a) The work shall be carried out through registered applicators of the manufacturer only. (b)Two year warranty of material performance and application performance shall be obtained from the authorised manufacture of PME. Warranty will include the fact that structure wll reamin water tight and no further cracks will be formed excluding damage caused by natural calamities.

All as per item no 2 here-in before but for second coat with 0.4 Ltr ( undiluted) PME diluted in 0.4 Ltr water to be applied uniformly on each 1.00 sqm area ( Second coat will be applied separately ) after drying and setting of First coat. Note for item no 2 and 3 :- No price adjustment shall be done if PME used is more than 0.6 Ltr and 0.4 Ltr per sqm of area in first and second coat respectively.

Complete removing old layers of paints by paint removers and scrapping with suitable scrapers tools and clean the surafce by sweeping and applying two coat of Apcotrak of Asian paints PPG/ Berger guildline RM 164 Paint/ Road marking paint of equivavlent Specification (as approved by GE) , water based matt finished over one coat of primer as per IS-164 of white, golden yellow, Deep orange, Red and black in lines, dashes, letter, circle, triangle etc on concrete or bitumen surfaces/ pavements exceeding 10cm in width using Mechanical pavement marking machine .complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L heating the affected surface by blow lamp and applying hot/malleable VG 30 bitumen in crack filling and making the surface neat by spraying 43 grade cement cleaning and drying complete all specified and directed.
