Salem Division-Replacement of Defective LTUG Cable feeding important loads over Salem Division.

1- Cable arrangement

Labour charges for Laying, testing and commissioning of LTUG power cables of size 1 upto and including 50 sq.mm in the excavated trench/on Building walls/Sheds/Shelters etc., as per IS No:1255 complete in an approved manner and as directed by Engineer in charge at site. Note: LTUG Cables only will be supplied by Railways.

Labour Charges for Laying of 50 mm Dia PE 100, PN 8 type HDPE pipe in the 3 excavated trench, on walls or on platform shelter etc., including suitable fixing arrangement complete in a manner as directed by Section Engineer-in-charge at site. (Note: Required HDPE Pipes will be supplied by Railways.)

Labour Charges for Laying of 110 mm Dia PE 100, PN 8 type HDPE pipe in the 4 excavated trench, on walls or on platform shelter etc., including suitable fixing arrangement complete in a manner as directed by Section Engineer-in-charge at site. (Note: Required HDPE Pipes will be supplied by Railways.)

Supply and laying of 6 SWG GI wire along with the LTUG Cable, for earth continuity confirming to IS 12776 complete in an approved manner and as directed by Engineer in charge at site.Note: This item requires RITES inspection prior to supply.

Excavation of Cable trench in all kinds of soil including refilling as per Drg. No. CEE/CN/MS/01-2018.

Excavation of Cable trench across the concrete flooring / road / track as per Drg. No.CEE/CN/MS/01-2018.

Breaking of cement concrete flooring as instructed by Engineer-in-charge at site.

Supply and provision of mass concrete for platforms or elsewhere with 1:3:6 ratio using 20 mm blue metal complete in a manner as directed by the Section Engineer in charge at site.

Supply and fixing of cable route indicator made of cast iron plate type as per specification in drawing No. CEE/CN/MS/11-2004 complete in an approved manner and as directed by Engineer in charge at site.Note: This item requires RITES Inspeciton prior to supply.

Fabrication, supply, and fixing of cable fixing clamps of suitable sizes, manufactured 11 from MS flat of size 40 mm x 6 mm, including painting, suitable for clamping/fixing LTUG cables on walls, buildings, sheds, shelters, etc., using bolts and nuts as directed by the Section Engineer-in- Charge at site.

Supply and fixing of Cable encasing pipe of 'B' class GI pipes 50mm Dia conforming to 12 IS 1239,part 1 (2004) including one number of clamp made out of MS flat of 40mm x 6mm size, one per meter length of pipe and cable sealing compound on open end where ever required as directed by Engineer in charge at site. Note: This item requires RITES Inspeciton prior to supply.

Supply and termination and connection of LTUG cable of sizes upto 50 sqmm with 13 aluminium crimping sockets and single compression type cable gland.Note: One termination comprises of one number of single flange type brass cable gland and with four numbers of aluminium crimping sockets for all cores of the cable.(Sizes of Cable gland as per the direction of Engineer incharge at site) Note: This item requires RITES Inspeciton prior to supply.

Supply and termination and connection of LTUG cable of sizes above 50 sqmm upto and including 240sqmm size with aluminium crimping sockets and single compression type cable 14 gland.Note: One termination comprises of one number of single flange type brass cable gland and with four numbers of aluminium crimping sockets for all cores of the cable. (Sizes of Cable gland as per the direction of Engineer incharge at site) Note: This item requires RITES Inspeciton prior to supply.

Supply and provision of end sealing compound for cable leading pipe for leading of cable of upto 50 sqmm.

Supply and provision of end sealing compound for cable leading pipe for leading of cable of above 50 sqmm to 240 sqmm.

2-Plant And Equipment

Supply, erection and testing of L.T. Earthing arrangements duly stenciling of earth resistance value along with date as per Drg. no. CEE/CN/MS/16-2004, including supply and spreading 17 of salt and charcoal 5 kgs in each for earth treatment etc , including supply / leading / laying /burying and concealing of 4 SWG GI wire from earth electrode to proposed MDB / SDB or elsewhere in an approved manner as directed by Section Engineer in charge at site.Note: This item requires RITES Inspeciton prior to supply.
