M&L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with Air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc. from black top surfaces complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 sqm and depth exceeding 50 mm and not exceeding 100 mm deep and removing debris/ rubbish out of MoD land complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM), grading as per table 400-13 of MoRT&H specification for Road and Bridges works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant, material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregates and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 90-100 KN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Applying evenly a priming coat conforming to clause 502 of MORT&H Specification for Road and Bridge work (Fifth Revision) with cationic bituminous emulsion SS1 grade conforming to IS-8887 (latest edition) @ 7.5 kg/10 Sqm using primer distributor which shall be self propelled or towed bitumen pressure sprayer complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Providing, laying & Compaction of bituminous, macadam (BM), compacted thickness not less than 40 mm conforming to clause 504 of MoRT&H specification for Road and Bridge works (Fifth Revision) using mechanically crushed stone aggeagates and granual material etc of grading II as per Table 500-7 of MoRT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision) premixed with bitumenous binder Bitumen grade VG-30 @3.5% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Batch type Hot Mix Plant transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and allignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 3.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Mix Design for Bituminous macadam shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 3.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii)The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 55.00 Per KG and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified is respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. (iv) Rates are included for arranging necessary T&P for bitumen extraction test at site (atleast 02 random samples for each working day) or as directed by Engineer in charge.

Applying evenly a tack coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 2.5 kg/10 sqm on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRT&H specifications for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing surface complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Bitumenous concrete (BC) 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) layer conforming to clause 507 of MoRT&H specifications for Road and Bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler, with 5.5% binder (VG-30) contents by weight of total mix, crushed aggregate of grading 2, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved job mix formula) etc, cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen of specific temperature throughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives as per mix design in hot mix plant (batch type), carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved and and suitable arrangements, laying hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber through rolling with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller with necessary contd..

contd.. hand packing and pinning to give an even surface including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete in all respects complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTES: (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job mix formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MoRT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less 5.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii) The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. Contd..

Contd... (iii) Cost of filler i.e rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate. (iv) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 55.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. (v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MoRT&H specifications entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonnes (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smoooth wheeled tandem roller as per clause No 507.4.8 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (vii) Rates are included for arranging necessary T&P for bitumen extraction test at site (atleast 02 random samples for each working day) or as directed by Engineer in charge.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 100 mm wide and 2.5 mm thick lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour conforming to BS 3262-1989 with 20% of glass beads (intermixed) by special applicator machine (automatic mechnical engine driven machine) all as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5 mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows, padestrian crossings and the like exceeding 10 cm width on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with 20% of glass beads (intermixed) by special applicator machine (automatic mechnical engine driven machine) all as per manufacturer's instruction complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing cat eye, reflective type of metal body alloy, of size 100 mm x 100 mm x 20 mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and including MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in repair metal tubular delineator made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos of 65 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/ 50 mm dia mild steel pipe of 600 mm height duly powder coated and thermo plastic elastomer 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide strips with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including excavation in hard/ dense soil or demolition of concrete with and including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (block size of 150 mm x 150 mm x 300 mm) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying road side Kerb stone, factory made of M-25 grade cement concrete, fixed/ laid in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm) including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Quoted Rate against the item is inclusive of necessary excavation in hard, dense soil/ gravelled macadam for laying of kerb stones. Contractor shall quote the rate against the item accordingly.
