ROAD WORKS

Construction of embankment with approved material obtained from borrow pits with a lift upto 1.5 m, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 with a lead upto 5000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5 for Rural Roads of MORD. (Mode of measurement: pre works and post works) Cost of land @Rs. 25.00/ Sqm, Royalty charge on earth @ Rs. 29.00/m3 & cesses charges @ 5.30/ Sqm as per Govt. notification has been included in the rate which will be paid on production of necessary documents in support of payments made towards the royalties and cesses.

Picking up and removing old bituminous layer or sand sealing coat from old black topped surface and cleaning the exposed surface by scraping and stacking the material as directed. By mechanical means (without milling machine) From 50 mm to 100 mm thick.

Box cutting or filling in Road embankment in all sorts of soil including spreading the spoils properly over the flank as necessary or on berm to approximate grade & camber and rolling the sub-grade with power roller to proper camber and grade as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge including uprooting and removing plants and jungles when and where necessary. Depth up to 150 mm.

Water Bound Macadam Base Course Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening / binding materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering including lighting, guarding, barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling, including cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machinery and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). Grading-I Aggregate (63 mm to 45 mm) Using Stone Screening Type B (11.2 mm) Using Pakur Variety Stone Materials. Manual Means.

Supplying and Laying in the specified pattern of Interlocking Concrete Block Pavements (ICBP) with concrete blocks (with concrete grade as specified as per Table 1 of IS 15658:2006) manufactured in steel mould clamped to a vibrating table by hydraulic pressure (as per cl. no. 6.30 of IRC SP: 63 (2018), from BIS licensee manufacturer, with spacer nib (Small protruding profiles on the vertical face of a paver block used as a device for keeping minimum joint gap in between the paving blocks, as per CI. No 3.26 of IS: 15658) and of specified size and shape with aspect ratio (The ratio of length to thickness of a paver block, as per CI. No.3.3 of IS: 15658) as per Table 2 of IS:15658 with flexural strength/breaking lead as per Annexure G of IS:15658, on the prepared base course of specified CBR as per Table 1 of IRC SP 63 (2018) or else as mentioned in design and drawing with a cushion of compacted bedding sand of 25-35 mm thick (grading of the bedding sand as per clause 6.5.1 of IRC SP-63) and filling up the gaps in between paver blocks with joint filling sand (the grading of the joint filling sand will be as per clause 6.5.2 of IRC SP 63) and completing the edges with cut blocks as per Cl. No. 8.7 of IRC SP-63(2018) with proper confinement of bedding and joint filling sand, compaction, levelling and filling up of the edge gap. 100 mm thick Grey Colour

Plain / Reinforced Cement Concrete in Substructure with coarse aggregates of appropriate nominal size and grading, fine aggregate (sand) conforming to proper grading zone, both of approved quality, cement and water reducing admixtures, as necessary, including labour, cost and carriage of all materials and including preparation of design mix, approval of the same by the Engineer-in-Charge and cost for quality control, sampling, testing etc. all complete as per drawing and technical specification including the cost of necessary form work and staging complete as per drawing and technical specifications. PCC Grade M30 Height upto 5m. Using Pakur Variety Stone Aggregates. Using concrete Mixer

Water Bound Macadam Sub Base by consolidating Jhama metal of specific size in hard crust to requisite thickness (measured after compaction) in layers including screening of metals etc. as necessary, hand packing, sweeping, watering and rolling in stages with power roller to proper line, grade and camber, lighting, guarding & barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side where necessary to protect edges and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling and rolling all complete including the cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machineries and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). For Construction of Sub Base by consolidating Jhama metal (63 mm to 45 mm) with moorum screening. Using 1.09 m3 of jhama metal and 0.26 m3 of moorum screening per m3 of compacted volume.

Providing and fixing of retro- reflectorised cautionary, mandatory and informatory sign as per IRC :67 made of high intensity grade sheeting vide clause 801.3, fixed over aluminium sheeting, 1.5 mm thick supported on a mild steel angle iron post 75 mm x 75 mm x 6 mm firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed foundation with M15 grade cement concrete 45 cm x 45 cm x 60 cm, 60 cm below ground level as per approved drawing and Clause 801 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). 60 cm equilateral triangle.

PROTECTIVE WORKS

Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, including setting out, removing, spreading or stacking of spoils within a lead of 150 m. as directed and including trimming the sides of the trenches,leveling, dressing and ramming the bottom, and backfilling with approved material complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge . In all sorts of soil excluding marshy soil & rocks (soft or hard) by manual means upto 3 m depth With pumping out water including shoring as required.

Filling properly the empty sausage crates with boulders of any size & shape with hand packing after preparation of bed of placement, placing the crate in position, carriage of boulders from road stacks with a lead upto 150m etc. complete in all respect including stitching the rest of the crate with wire (passage for filling boulders) after filling up the crate with boulders and launching the crate in position if necessary and as directed by the Engineer-in charge.(Rate includes Cost & Carriage of North Bengal Variety Boulders at Site but excluding sausage crates)

Weaving wire mattress as directed with wire of 4mm dia. and making sausage crate of required shape after tying all intersections including joining longitudinal ends, closing ends of sausage, carriage of wire to site of work complete in all respect as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge including cost of supply of G.I. wire. (With 100mm x 100mm mesh.)

Providing and laying Design Mix concrete for plain / reinforced concrete work in any part of bridge (excluding bottom plugging) with Pakur Variety coarse aggregates of appropriate nominal size and grading, fine aggregate (sand) conforming to proper grading zone, both of approved quality and cement, as necessary, including labour, cost and carriage of all materials and including preparation of design mix, approval of the same by the Engineer-in-Charge and cost for quality control, sampling, testing etc. all complete but excluding cost of labour and materials for formwork & reinforcement works. M-15 Grade Using concrete mixer

Hire and labour charges for Shuttering with or without staging upto 4.0 m height using approved stout props with wooden planks/ply wood/steel sheet plate with required bracing for any kind of plain or reinforced concrete works in all sorts of minor structure including culvert, box culvert, crossdrain etc. The rate is inclusive of fitting, fixing and striking out after completion of work as per specification and direction. Where staging is not required

Providing and laying of Filter media with granular materials/stone crushed aggregates/brick aggregates /river bed materials satisfying the requirements laid down in clause 2504.2.2 of MoRT&H Specifications to a thickness of not less than 600 mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall and return wall to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per drawing and technical specification. Using Brick Aggregates and Coarse Sand.

Providing weep holes in Brick masonry / Plain / Reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall / return wall with 100 mm dia AC pipe, extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V:20H towards drawing face. Complete as per drawing and Technical specifications.
