DESCRIPTION OF ITEM

Road Work - Dismantling of existing pavement (bituminous course) by mechanical means and disposal of dismantled material upto a lead of 1km, as per direction of engineer in charge. (DSR 2023, SI No. 15.59)

Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface to a depth of 50mm and disposal of scarified material within all lifts and leads upto 1km (by mechanical means) (DSR 2023, SI No. 16.77)

Disposal of surplus earth and moorum/building rubbish/ malba/ similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste material by mechanical transport including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground for lead upto 10 km for all lifts, complete as per directions of Engineer-in-charge. (DSR 2023, SI No. 1.1.18)

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density.Grading-I Material (PWD Rates)

Construction of granular sub-base by providing close graded Material, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed Material to work site, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per clause 401 Grading-I Material (AR)

Providing and laying in position ready mixed or site batched design mix cement concrete for reinforced cement concrete work; using coarse aggregate and fine aggregate derived from natural sources, Portland Pozzolana / Ordinary Portland /Portland Slag cement, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate / retard setting of concrete, to improve durability and workability without impairing strength; including pumping of concrete to site of laying, curing, carriage for all leads; but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement as per direction of the engineer-in-charge; for the following grades of concrete. Note: Extra cement up to 10% of the minimum specified cement content in design mix shall be payable separately. In case the cement content in design mix is more than 1.10 times of the specified minimum cement content, the contractor shall have discretion to either re-design the mix or bear the cost of extra cement. Concrete of M40 grade with minimum cement content of 390 kg/cum. (DSR 2023, SI No. 5.33.1.4)

Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for Foundations, footings, bases of columns, etc. for mass concrete. (DSR 2023, SI No. 5.9.1)

Steel reinforcement for r.c.c. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete upto plinth level. thermo-mechanically treated bars of grade fe-500D or more. (DSR 2023, SI No. 5.22.6)

Cement Concrete Pavement M-40 grade for Conventional White topping . (Thickness greater than 100 mm and less than 200 mm). Providing and laying conventional white Topping as per IRC:SP:76-2015 over bituminous surface (Existing bituminous surface prepared if necessary, either by milling or leveling course to be done with BM/DBM/DLC to correct surface profile and to be paid separately) as Cement Concrete Pavement, Construction of unreinfroced, dowel jointed, plain cement concrete pavement M-40 grade concrete (@ 400 kg/Cum cement) over a prepared sub base, coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS 383, maximum size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 31.5 mm, mixed in a batching and mixing plant as per approved mix design transported to site, laid with a slip form paver or fixed form paver, spread compacted and finished in a contineous operation including. Provision of expansion joint, construction joint, separation membrane, admixtures as approved curing compound, finishing to lines and as per relevant clauses of MoRTH&H Specification of section 600.
