(iii) Charges for earth resistivity test deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (iv) PCC Chamber shall be constructed 500mm away from the edge of earth pit (v) Earth resistance should be less than 3 Ohm. In case the test results are not found below 3 Ohm, complete earthing will be redone without any extra cost to the Govt. (vi) For effective visibility, identification and traceability of earth pit (EP) with corresponding earth of equipment and building, markers in metal (Mild Steel) shall be provided. Earth test of earth pit is to be provided with a colour code. The direction regarding the size, shape and colour of the mild steel identification board etc shall be given by the Engineer-in-Charge. (vii) On completion of the entire work the contractor shall submit a register/ record showing location of earthing, earth value, date of testing etc to the Engineer-in-Charge.

Earthing complete with copper plate electrode 600x600x3.15mm thick buried directly in ground earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below normal ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, connected to the copper strip earth lead 20x3mm, by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron and 20x3mm copper earth lead protected by provision of GI medium grade pipe 40 mm bore including provision of aggregates with 40 mm thick cover of RCC (1:2:4), re-inforced with XPM (weight not less than 4 kg per sqmm) and frame of angle iron 40x40x3 mm and with 6 mm dia MS bar handle made to shape, GI light grade 20 mm bore pipe of suitable length for watering perforated at bottom placed on top edged of earth plate, common salt and charcoal filling, funnel, wire mesh and earth work in hard/dense soil returning filling in and removal of surplus soil to a distance not exe 50 mtr to plate No 3 of SSR 2009 Part-I and connecting to feeder pillar, DG sets and Transformer all as specified including testing on completion complete all as specified and as directed.
