SCH "A" PART-I (COMPACT SUBSTATION AND ALLIED WORKS)

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and exceeding 1.5m but not exceeding 3.0m in depth for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc not exceeding 10 sqm on plan and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Earthwork is deemed to be carried out by manual method. However mechanised method may be adopted without any extra cost to the government.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm in any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Dry river sand laid to required width of trench at bottom and top for cable cushioning all as specified and as directed.

Punned thickness only shall be measured.

Common burnt bricks sub class "B" of old size, designation 50, laid dry in trenches with width equal to length of bricks across the cable for cable protection all as specified and as directed.

Un-reinforced pre-cast concrete cable cover, class HVP, type-I, with peak, size 300mm x 180mm x 40mm for protection of cable in trenches complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, laying, connecting and testing HT UG cable XLPE insulated, screened, PVC bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cable (heavy duty) with aluminium conductor, 11000 volts grade, (Earthed), 3 core, cross sectional area 120 sqmm in bridges / culvert / trenches / drawn through pipe / fixed on walls / bare in road crossings / paths / drains / ducts / floors / fixed on poles / equipments complete all as specified and as directed.

(a) Earthwork, sand cushioning, protection for cable etc., as required shall be measured and paid separately.

(b) Lugs and glands shall be used appropriately wherever required while connecting cables to the panel board and the quoted rates are deemed be include for the same.

XLPE insulated, armoured, heavy duty electric cable with aluminium conductor, 1100 volts grade, in trenches / drawn through pipe / fixed on walls / bare in road crossings / paths / drains / ducts / floors / fixed on poles / equipments of the following sizes complete all as specified and as directed.

Cable jointing kit for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for indoor termination heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 120 sqmm complete all as specified and as directed.

Cable jointing kit for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for outdoor termination heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 120 sqmm complete all as specified and as directed.

Earthing complete with galvanised iron earth plate electrode 600mm X 600mm X minimum 6mm thick, with and including earthing of 32mm x 6mm GI strip protected by 40mm dia GI pipe light grade upto a length of 7.5m. Design, fabrication, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of LT feeder pillar cubicle, outdoor type, made up of CRCA sheet minimum 3mm thick for load bearing and miniumum 2mm thick for non-load bearing portion to accommodate the accessories as detailed below with hinged doors, front and back side openable with locking arrangement, weather, dust and vermin proof, epoxy powder coated, to minimum IP-54 protection class of IS-2147, pedestal mounted, LT 440 volts, 3 Phase, 4 wire, 50 cycles, including cable galleries, interconnecting bus-bar connection / linkage, suitable for housing and including provision of the following switch gears including all pre-wiring with PVC copper conductor cable of suitable size, nuts, bolts and washers and cable connection with suitable size aluminium lugs and glands in accordance with IS-13947 (Part-I) 1993 & IS-8623 all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

(a) Aluminium bus bar 4 Nos with rating 300 Amps phase rating for 3 phase and neutral rating of 150 Amps with heat shrinkable PVC coloured sleeves mounted on suitable non-resin type insulators - 01 Set

(b) MCCB 160 Amps, 4 pole, 415 Volts, 3 phase, 50 Hz, 36 kA breaking capacity, with adjustable thermal and magnetic setting with Ics = 100% of Icu - 01 No (Incoming)

(c) MCCB 125 Amps, 4 pole, 415 Volts, 3 phase, 50 Hz, 36 kA breaking capacity, with adjustable thermal and magnetic setting with Ics = 100% of Icu - 01 No (Outgoing)

(d) MCCB 63 Amps, 4 pole, 415 Volts, 3 phase, 50 Hz, 35 kA breaking capacity, with adjustable thermal and magnetic setting with Ics = 75% of Icu - 02 Nos (Outgoing)

(e) MCCB 32 Amps, 4 pole, 415 Volts, 3 phase, 50 Hz, 35 kA breaking capacity, with adjustable thermal and magnetic setting with with Ics = 75% of Icu - 03 Nos (Outgoing)

(h) LED type pilot indicator lamps RYB phases with backup fuse, Set of three - 01 No.(incoming)

(j) The LT panel board shall be kept on platform 450mm above ground level, to accommodate the panel board mounted on base framework of angle iron 50mm x 50mm x 6mm planted into platform of PCC 1:2:4, type B1, using 20mm graded stone aggregate, over PCC foundation of 100mm thickness in PCC 1:4:8, type D2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate, the exposed concrete surfaces shall be rendered in CM 1:4, 10mm thick, finished fair and even and applied white wash three coats.

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of outdoor, non-walk in type 160 kVA Compact Sub Station, type tested 11 kV/433 V transformer and HT / LT panels etc., in one outer enclosure (with base frame) including PCC foundation (as per manufacturers design and specification) complete all as following specifications:-

(A) TRANSFORMER:- Supply, install, test and commissioning of step down transformer indoor type, hermetically sealed complete with standard accessories or fittings suitable for 11 kV/433 volts (at no load), AC, 3 phase, 50 cycles, 4 wire, capacity 160 kVA, double copper wound, oil immersed, naturally cooled, built-up with class "A" insulation conforming to IS-1180 (Part-I) 2014 including amendments as on the date of receipt of tender with following requirements.

(a) Continuous rating : 160 kVA

(b) No load voltage ratio : 11kV / 433 V

(c) Tapping on LV : +7.5% to -7.5% in steps of 2.5% for variation of LV

(d) Phase and frequency : 3 Phase & 50 Hz

(e) Vector group : Dyn-11

(f) Cooling : ONAN

(g) Type : Indoor

(h) BIS marked and BEE Star labelled.

(j) Total losses at 50% load 570 watts and total losses at 100% load 1700 watts.

(k) Impedence 4.5 %

(l) Terminal arrangement :

(i) HV side : Top bushing

(ii) LV side : Top / Side bushing.

(m) First filling of new and unused transformer oil conformimg to IS-335 shall be marked, filtered and tested upto 60 kV per minute instantaneous dielectric strength at 2.5mm air gap between testing electrodes.

(n) Fittings

(i) Name plate, rating and diagram plate.

(ii) Two earthing terminals on opposite side of the transformer tank for body earthing and neutral earthing.

(iii) Externally Hand Operated Off - Circuit tap switch with position indicator and locking arrangement device.

(iv) Conservator tank with filling in plug sump valve and shut off valve.

(v) Undercarriage with four plain rollers.

(vi) Oil - Filling hole cum air release plug.

(B) HV SWITCH GEAR:-

(i) 11 kV, 630 Amp, 3 POLE, 21 kA / 3 sec non-extensible Ring main unit compact switch gear consisting of two numbers load break switch module and one number fixed manual vacuum circuit breaker in SF6 insulator insulated stainless steel enclosure with series trip.

(ii) Self powered digital microprocessor based numerical over current and earth fault delay protection alongwith necessary short circuit + earth fault indicator conforming to IS-3232

(iii) Current Transformer - Resin Cast, Ratio : 100/5A, Burden 5 VA, Class 1.0 conforming to IS-2705.

(iv) Potentional Transformer Resin Cast, Ratio : 11kV/110V conforming to IS-3156

(v) VCB off / on / auto trip / trip circuit healthy / spring charge indication.

(vi) Digital ammeter and voltmeter indication for HV side.

(vii) All internal wiring to be properly secured with fuse / MCB protection with proper size copper stranded FRLS wires and connected with proper colour coding with proper lugs and ferrule.

(viii) Manometer - 01 No.

(C) LV SWITCH GEAR:-

(i) LT panel enclosure shall be 2mm thick CRCA sheet, duly epoxy powder coated to accommodate the following switch gear.

(ii) MCCB 400 A, 4 P, 415V, 50 Hz, 36 kA Adjustable thermal and Fixed magnetic type type with Over Load & Short Circuit release - 01 No.

(iii) MCCB 4 Pole, 250 A, 36 kA Adjustable thermal and Fixed magnetic type type- 01 No (Outgoing)

(iv) MCCB 4 Pole, 160 A, 25 kA Adjustable thermal and Fixed magnetic type type- 01 No (Outgoing)

(v) MCCB 4 Pole, 100 A, 25 kA Adjustable thermal and Fixed magnetic type type- 01 No (Outgoing)

(vi) MCCB 4 Pole, 63 A, 16 kA Fixed thermal and Fixed magnetic type type- 01 No (Outgoing)

(vii) Digital multifunction meter with A, V, kW, kWH, PF, Class - 0.5

(viii) LT metering CTs, Resin Cast type, 400/5A, Burden 5 VA, Class-1.0 conforming to IS-2705.

(ix) All internal wiring to be properly secured with fuse / MCB protection with proper size copper stranded FRLS wires and connected with proper colour coding with proper lugs and ferrule.

(D) INTERCONNECTION AND EARTHING:- Interconnection between HT Switchgear & Transformer using aluminium unarmoured XLPE cable and Interconnection between LT Switchgear & Transformer using aluminium busbar. Internal earthing connections by using GI strips. Transformer neutral earthing with copper strips and control wiring with Copper strip 25 x 3mm with heat shrink sleeves colour coding complete all as directed and as approved - 1 Set

(E) OUTDOOR ENCLOSURE:- Outdoor type enclosure having construction of galvanised sheet minimum 2mm thick for load bearing member and miniumum 2mm thick for non-load bearing member. The enclosure shall have IP-54 degree of protection for HT & LT switchgear compartment. The enclosure exterior shall be epoxy powder coated (Colour Siemen Grey RAL 7035) . Each compartment shall be provided with door and padlock arrangement. The compartment illumination lamp with door operated switch shall be provided for MV and LV compartment. The placing of equipments shall as per IEC / IS Standards, such that the space between equipments and compartment wall to be maintained and all equipments / panel should have easy access and minimum specified clearance of space for maintenance and repairs / placement is provided complete all as directed. - 1 Set. Schematic circuit connection diagram duly laminated and pasted on CSS.

All conformation to IS shall as per latest version as on last date of bid submission.

Taking down old CT and PT from RMG panel, suitable modification to existing RMG panel with copper busbar of size 40 x 6mm of length approximately 8.0m, wiring etc and provision of the following switch gear:-

(i) Current transformer, Indoor, Resin Cast type, 11 kV, Ratio : 30/5A, Burden : 5 VA, clamp of accuracy : 0-2S, Protection core 60-30/5A, Burden : 15 VA, clamp of accuracy : 5P20, both metering and protection core shall be in single unit - 03 Nos

(ii) Potential Transformer Ratio :11 kV/110V, Burden 15VA, Class 0.2 A - 01 No.

(a) The CTs and PTs shall be duly calibrated before incorporation in the RMG panel.

(b) The contractor shall also assist the MES department personnel to coordinate with TNEB to finalise the connection.

(c) The switch gear dismantled shall be deposited in the MES Storeyard of AGE E/M Chennai which shall be taken on ledger charge.
