1. Comprehensive maintenance of sewage line, Manholes, of various diameter and depth and floor/Nahani gully traps water closet of various size in buildings located with the following :- (a) Cleaning and removal of blockage/clogging in sewer lines including rodding by manual / machineries. (b) -ditto- all as per item 1(a) hereinbefore but in manholes. (c) -ditto- all as per item 1(a) hereinbefore but in floor/Nahani/Gully traps. (d) Removal of blockage/clogging in all water closets. (e) Removal of sludge obtained from Item Ser No 1(a) to 1(d) hereinbefore shall be taken as credit complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : (i) The unit rate quoted by the tenderer is inclusive of requirement of number of persons for attending day to day maintenance of sewer lines and manholes etc. The requirement shall be assessed by the tenderer and accordingly the unit rates shall be arrived at. No extra cost whatsoever shall be admissible on this account. (ii) The following areas shall be maintained by the contractor under the item No 1 mentioned above:-(aa) Akash ganga area(ab) Administrative Block(ac) Sick Bay(ad) DSC Quarters(ae) Junior Sailors Inliving Accommodation Block `A’, `B’ & `C’ Blocks(af) DSC inliving accommodation(ag) Senior Sailors inliving accn and Mess(ah) Shopping Complex & NWWA(aj) School Complex (ak) Comcen (al) ATC Building(am) Gymnasium (an) Swimming Pool Building & Rajalika(ao) Sub Guard Room(ap) Main Guard Room & MRS(aq) 40 leading quarters(ar) Key Personnel Quarters(as) Civilian Officers Quarters(at) CSD Canteen(au) Sailors’ Institute(av) MES Complex (aw) Sub Station `B’ (ax) CCR Complex(ay) Localiser Buildings(az) FWC Building, Motivation hall and other buildings in Zone `B’ area. (iii) The contractor shall provide the sufficient labourers for the above works and they should report daily in the morning at 08.30 AM to AGE B/R - 3 NAS Arakkonam
Pumping out sludge including water from the soak pit/septic tank/Manholes depth more than 2 M at main sewage line (i.e) not covered above Item No.1.etc. mechanically by using tipeer with tanker and non clog sewage pump set arrangement including foot valve, necessary draining out pipe etc and removing all foreign materials, sludge, water including cleaning the soak pit/septic tank/manholes etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : (a) The sludge removed shall be taken outside MD land for disposal as and when removed from the soak pit/septic tank/manholes. The cost of disposal shall be inclusive of the unit rate quoted by the tenderers under this item. No extra cost on this account is admissible. The credit offered by the department for the sludge removed shall be deducted from the payment made to the contractor for the entire quantity. (b) Pumping shall be carried out in the presence of MES authorises representative.
Taking off existing manholes covers and cleaning of manholes of depth not exceeding 1 metre by de-watering and taking off the rubbish / sludge etc., removing the same up to 50 m distance and put into newly excavated pits of suitable size and covering with excavated earth and placing back in position the removed covers complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
All as per item No 3 as above but depth exceeding 1 metre and not exceeding 3 metre all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
All as per item No 3 as above but depth exceeding 3 metre and not exceeding 4.50 metre all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour Cutting holes into or through brick walls built in cement mortar, fixing PVC Heavy duty rungs and making good in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Dismantling wrought iron or mild steel work of any description not otherwise provided for all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Supply and fixing for mild steel framed work such as grills, Angles, guard bars etc with ends of bars shouldered and/or riveted or forged into spikes framed guard bars and similar work conforming to Fe-290. Gde E-165 complete all as specified by Engineer in charge.
Supply and fix for plates (plain or chequered) channels, square cut or notched (ordinary or counter sunk) forming holes includinjg MS butt hinges and handle, confirming Fe-290 (Gde E-165) complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge
Excavation in trenches not exc. 1.50 m wide and not exc. 1.50 m in depth for foundation etc. or for manholes, cesspits, shafts etc not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
All as item No 10 above but depth exceeding 1.50 metre but not exceeding 3.00 metre and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge.
All as item No 10 above but depth exceeding 3 metre but not exceeding 4.50 metre and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge.
Returning, filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick in each layer as in hard / dense soil complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Removing surplus excavated material to distance not exc. 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Demolition of brick work or stone/boulder masonry, built in cement mortar or cement lime mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars, etc but excluding ashlars facings dressed stone work and pre cast concrete articles complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for brick work with sub class ‘B’ old size bricks straight or curved on plan exc. 6.00 m mean radius built in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for 15 mm thick rendering on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces with cement mortar 1:4 finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Demolition of reinforced cement concrete in ground floors and pavings n exc 15cm thickness including cutting of reinforcement bars to facilitate demolition complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for providing pre-cast cement concrete as in cover slabs for manholes and similar items with plain faces in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate and setting in cement mortar 1:6 including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for mild steel TMT bars 10 mm dia and over cut to length, bent to shape required including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for mild steel TMT bars 6 to 8 mm dia, cut to length, bent to shape required including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) of any description in bed concrete not exceeding 15 cm thick below ground level complete all as specified by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for providing plain cement concrete, type D-2, 1:4:8 (using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in sub base of floor, foundation, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in surface channels and drains all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 45cm inner girth in cement concrete, using extra cement, including forms, moulds, mitred/stopped ends etc completeall as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for PCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in coping including necessary form work etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Demolition and breaking up drain pipes internal dia of pipe in 150mm (salt glazed ware, AC or reinforced concrete ) set in cement mortar complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Demolition and breaking up drain pipes internal dia of pipe in 200mm (salt glazed ware, AC or reinforced concrete ) set in cement mortar complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for reinforced concrete pipes 150mm dia class NP-2 for following dia of pipe laid and jointed complete with collars complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
All as per item No 29 hereinbefore but 200mm dia all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for cement concrete 1:3:6, type C-2 (using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) for 150mm pipe concrete bed to drain pipes of including packing under and haunching against the sides of pipe after they are laid and tested including necessary form work for the following bore of drain complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
All as per item No 31 hereinbefore but 200mm dia complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for cutting into existing manhole for connecting new drain, making good to pipe and rendering, cutting out existing benching for and forming branch channel (½ round or ¾ section) in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 smooth finished, and reforming benching as required for 150 mm dia pipe complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
All as per item No 33 here-in-before but 200 mm internal dia of pipes complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Material and labour for sand filling in trenches as a cushioning/bedding and haunching to PVC pipe including watering complete all as specified all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
Supply and fix PVC (SWR) pipe 160mm dia single socketed, in any length with rubber ring joints, laid in trenches or in floor pressure rate 6 Kg/cm 2 (class 3 pipe) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
