Cut opening and Removal of Sand Bars, shoals and accumulated sand in the Cooum Mouth Opening in Purasaivakkam taluk of Chennai District to ensure free flow of water in to the sea for the month of October 2026

Deepening using required machinery as indicated in the drawing in all types of soils as existing at site including loose or compacted silt mixed with/without clay of soft clay or any other soft materials including boulders spilled cargoes and any broken concrete pieces/debris and foreign materials like fishing nets, broken pieces of mechanized fishing boats etc. from LS 200m to LS 220m by suitable methods acceptable to the Departmental Engineers using required type of Grab Dredger or cuter suction Dredger of any suitable machinery according to the site condition, both in river and Sea Mouth and for dumping, transporting and disposal without disturbing / damages the structures, Breakwater, existing Groyne including removal and conveying the dredged materials and dumping in the specified area shown by the Departmental Engineers and drawing including spreading etc. complete as shown in the drawing and as directed by the Departmental Engineers with all lead and lift, Mobilisation of machineries, labour charges for surveying, including all tools and plants, equipment and labours, consumables, fuel, etc, complete and as directed by the Departmental officers. The Volume of Dredging will be calculated based on the Pre level and Post levels only.

Hiring the Poclain Ex-200 on use hours basis for removal of accumulated sea sand in Cooum River mouth, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Hiring the Dozer D50 - A15 on use hours basis for rehandling and depositing the removed sand on the banks of the river and levelling the site etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
