Providing Waterproofing Treatment and Miscellaneous Civil works at Auditorium terrace and adjoining gang way area for Central Complex at North Site, BARC, Trombay, Mumbai

Removing bitumen based waterproofing treatment from terrace chajjas,parapets etc,disposal within 50m Note : All surfaces shall be made free from gross irregularities, loose, unsound or foreign material such as dirt,water, grease, oil, release agents, lacquers, or any other condition that would be detrimental to adhesion of the primer and membrane. This requires careful preparation of existing horizontal and vertical substrates; cracks are filled, expansion joints,flashings(if any) are prepared. Substrates and penetrations shall be prepared to rigorous industry standards, and may require scarifying, sandblasting or grinding in some cases to achieve a suitable substrate and the cost of the above work shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Providing and applying polymer (RBR of Pidilite make or equivalent ) cement slurry in Ratio of 1:1.5 as Bond coat on the cleaned area and Laying 25-32 mm thick Cement Mortar mixed with approved waterproofing compound (Cico Super make or equivalent @ 100 ml per 50 kg. of Cement) , finish smooth with cement slurry , marking the finished surface with pattern as matching the old finishes etc. including cost of all materials, labour, machinery, tools & tackles and consumables all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Extra over Item No. 2 providing cement based waterproofing treatment to terraces / chajjas including cleaning the concrete surfaces, giving injections to the top slab as required with cement & approved waterproofing compound solution to fill up all inherent holes, voids honey-combs etc. in the concrete slab whereever required and setting "autoclaved aerated light weight block bats" coba in waterproof mortar 1:4 (using crushed sand) with necessary gradient for easy flow of water and laying Cement Mortar layer 20 mm tk. with waterproofing compound over block bat coba (Cico Super make or equivalent @ 100 ml per 50 kg. of Cement) including cost of all materials, labour, machinery, tools & tackles and consumables all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and application of KEMPEROL V 21O of M/s KEMPER SYSTEM GERMANY or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards in 2.0 mm thick by using three component liquid applied system based on unsaturated polyester resin with polyester fleece as reinforcement in the follwong steps: 1. On the previously prepared surface, apply KEMPEROL EP Primer or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards evenly with the help of a Nylon Brush. Consumption of Primer should be 300 to 500 gm/m2 depending upon nature of substrate. 2.Sprinkle silica sand (0.3 to 0.7 mm) @ 100 gm per Sqm on the wet primer. 3. After atleast 12 Hrs of primed surface apply KEMPEROL V 210 mix or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards with help of a Nylon roller or Brush.(Consumption of KEMPEROL V 210 or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards should be 1.7 to 2 Kgs/m2 in the first coat). 4.Roll out the KEMPEROL Fleece of 165 GSM or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards over the KEMPEROL V 210 wet mix or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards . (overlaps of Kemperol fleece or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards should be not less than 50mm over the joints). 5. Remove all wrinkles and then saturate completely with KEMPEROL V 210 or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards. (consumption of KEMPEROL V 210 in the top coat should be 0.9 to 1 Kgs/m2 ). (Total consumption for Kemperol V210 should be @ 2.6 to 3.0 Kg/m2 in complete item). The tensile strength of the complete system/ membrane should be more then @ 8.0 N/mm2 and Elongation more than 44 % (with Fleece). etc complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note : (1) It is deemed that the Contractor has visited the site and has fully understood the site conditions.The Contractor shall provide 10 years Performance guarantee for the complete waterproofing work. (2)The above work shall comply with complete system of Kemper V210 of M/s. Kemper System Germany or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards and complete material components as per manufacturers specifications shall be used in the work.The quoted rate shall be deemed to include the cost of complete system of Kemper V210 of M/s. Kemper System Germany or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards irrespective of whether the same is not explicitly mentioned in the item decription. (3) The work will also include sealing of all pipe inserts/embedded plates,protrusions,flashings with Kemper V210 system of M/s. Kemper System Germany or approved equivalent meeting all the technical specifications as per relevant codes and standards and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (4)The quoted rate shall include the cost of repairing the unsound portions/cracks with polymer modified mortar/concrete wherever necessary and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Mode of Measurement: Net area which is covered by the complete system shall be measured for payment.

Treatment to pipe upto 6" dia with Kemperol V210 Membrane or equivalent by Providing and applying Kemperol EP primer on the surface and sealing the pipe in double layer with Kemperol V210 etc. including cost of all materials, labour, machinery, tools & tackles and consumables all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Dismantling old plaster / skirting carefully, raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 100 m lead.

Providing , supplying, and fixing rain water down take pipes using Galvanized Iron 'C' class of approved make by welding the joints including required bends etc . and fixing in walls / columns with M.S clamps & "C"- clamps all as per drawing, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge but excluding painting the pipes
