REPAIR TO ROOF PROJECTION, BALCONY, CHAJJA, ROOF TREATMENT AND OTHER MISC WORKS UNDER AGE BR-I AT JAISALMER MIL STATION

MS props erecting for temporary supports to the structural members like beams, slabs etc. to relieve the load on the members during breaking of damaged concrete, removal guniting, excavation or any dismantling work as per the instruction of Engineer in-charge. These supports shall be provided either in the form of props or trestles fabricated using structural steel as per the site requirements. Note :- The temporary supports/ structure, steel PROPS etc, shall be used at site for arrangement of support system shall be take back by the Contractor after requsite period of strengthening of members / strructure or completion of repair work as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for Chipping of slab/columns/ beams/chajjas /parapet /roof projection/ balcony/ staircase and removing loose mortar with chisel hammer without much impact on concrete surface, clean the surface by sand blasting the surface using river sand with minimum of 6 kg pressure at the nozzle or air blow by electric pressure blower by mechanical compressor, cleaning the exposed reinforcement with wire brushes etc and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note :- Scaffolding/ temporary support structure required to support the members / structure during strengthening shall be measured and paid under Ser item No.1.

M&L for Cleaning & applying rust remover (Sika rustoff100)) in two coats over rusted reinforcement surface and providing anti corrosive coating with two component epoxy based zinc rich primer/Rust passivation Inhibitor coat at the rate of 6-8 sq. mtr/ltr not less than 50 microns dft with Sika friazinc R or equivalent to reinforcement surface as per manufacturer’s instructions including all scaffolding, machinery, tools tackles and clearing of debris. Make: Sika rustoff100, Sika friazinc R or equivalent in STP/Chemsol/ Bostic/Choksey.

M&L Mild steel TMT bars 10mm dia and over, cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : Additional Reinforcement: Check the diameter of the existing rebars and if the diameter is less than 30% of the original diameter, provide additional reinforcement. Cut 12mm dia bars as main reinforcement to the required length with proper development length. Tie them to the prefixed shear connectors so that the additional rebar acts monolithically with the existing ones and core concrete.

M&L Mild steel TMT bars 5mm dia and over upto and including 10mm dia in stirrups, spacers and binders , cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : Additional Reinforcement: In the case of the shear reinforcement also, if the diameter of the rebars are reduced, provide 8mm dia stirrups in the form of 2 "U" shaped bars. Tie them properly so that it has a tight contact with the main bars.

M&L for Shear Connectors by drilling 12mm dia holes up to a depth of 75mm maximum and fixing 8mm dia L shaped anchor rods as shear connectors at every 300mm c/c on the surfaces of the columns/beams or any other structural member as the case may be. Clean the same using air or blower and make sure that there are no fine particles present in the hole and filled the holes with one or two component styrene free vinylester resin anchor or two components, styrene & cement free epoxy- acrylate fixing and anchoring compound. At this stage push the shear connector gently in to the hole and finish the excess resin which comes out of the hole and allow the shear connectors not to be disturbed for Minimum 20 minutes. Make: Bostik RESIFIX-G or equivalent in Hilti and Sika. Note : Reinforcement shall be paid separately under item ser no 5 above.

M&L for hard drawn steel wire fabric n exc 4Kg/Sqm cut to lengths, bent to shape required and tying with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm in dia supplied and fixed in reinforcement complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

S&F of new steel or rebars by drilling holes with 10 mm to 20mm dia and 100 to 200mm deep as per IS code of 10D formula and filling the holes after inserting of reinforcement dia 8 to 16mm for anchoring at ends/shear connector and filled the holes with one or two component styrene free vinylester resin anchor or two components, styrene & cement free epoxy- acrylate fixing and anchoring compound (having the technical parameters mentioned in material specifications) using standard sealant applicator gun after drilling holes of required diameter at required locations, for holding / fixing / placing in position the steel mesh reinforcement at desired level/ stretching. Note :- Steel/reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately. Make: Bostik RESIFIX-G or equivalent in Sika/Hilti and Master builder/Chemsol.

M&L for providing leak proof shuttering in any position cut to length and providing including runners supports as per manufacturer’s instructions and including all necessary scaffolding, machinery, tools tackles and men materials.

M&L for rendering 15 mm thick on concrete surface in cement mortar 1:4 including water proofing compound and finished even & smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified & directed. Note : WPC to be paid separately under item Ser No 13 as supply only.

M&L for rendering 20 mm thick on concrete surface, roof top surfaces in cement mortar 1:4 including water proofing compound and finished even & smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified & directed. Note : WPC to be paid separately under item Ser No 13 as supply only.

Supply of liquid integral waterproofing compound @ 100ml/per 50kg cement used . Make : - (IWC) CICO-SUPER or equivalent in Sika/Dr Fixit/ACC/ L&T/STP. Note : WPC to be used in rendering by mixing under item Ser No 11 & 12 above.

M&L for applying to the damaged concrete portion of slab/columns/beams/chajjas/parapet /roof projection/balcony/staircase with single component, fiber reinforced, dual shrinkage- compensated thixotropic, cementitious patch repair mortar Sika monotop 122F (having the technical parameters mentioned in material specifications) capable of applying up to 20-25mm thick in double layer initially by hand and finishing with troweled carefully compacting the same around the rebar and finishing to bring it in line with existing concrete surface with an average specified thickness complete all as specified & directed. Make: STP/ Chemsol/ Bostik/Choksey.

M&L for applying bond coat on the prepared old surface of concrete/ masonry to receive micro concrete with two coats of Sika-Latex Super SBR or equivalent make of brand & as per manufacturer specifications. Laying of reinstatement polymer mortar or micro concrete shall be completed within the overlay time of bonding coat. This bond coat act as bonding agent between old and new concrete. Make: STP/ Chemsol/ Bostik/Choksey.

M&L for applying injection grouting through the nozzles, Drilling the holes of 12mm dia up to 100mm deep and fixing of nozzle of 10mm with using Bostik NO.3 hardener chemicals. Inject the polymer based cement grout Bostik NSPGC grout with cement to RCC wall/ceiling in adequate pressure and seal the nozzle complete as per manufacturer instruction. Make: STP/ Chemsol/ Bostik/Choksey.

M&L for the surfaces which are to receive the coating or treatment, must be free from oil, laitance, grease, wax, dirt or any other form of foreign material adhering on it before the waterproofing job started. Dust free the surface, including removing of existing treatment/ old felt / loose plaster / concrete etc. and repair with polymer mortar by adding bonding agent (SBR). Repairing of slab, parapet wall junction, cracks and other large blowholes by open in “V” shapes & filling by polymer mortar or putty followed by fiber mash tape with SBR in conjunction with cement. Make: STP/Bostik/Apcotex/Choksey.

M & L for water proofing treatment on roofs of slabs by complete removal/taking down of existing treatement, by applying acrylic based polymer modified cementitious elastomeric flexible composite coating system consisting of applying: First coat applying with Bostik TAPECRETE-P151 or equivalent mixed with neat fresh cement in the ratio of 1:1 by weight after dust free and moist the surface. Laying second layer of Fiber glass cloth of 45 GSM when the first layer is still green. Overlaps of joints of fiber cloth should not be less than 10 cm. Applying final layer of cementitious elastomeric flexible composite coating system. The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of 24 hours for curing and for final test. “All above operations to be done in order by the manufacturer's authorised applicator only. M & L For applying of polyurethane based tar extended seamless elastomeric protective coating system, conforming to ASTM C-836-03 and ASTM C 898-09 ideally suited for water proofing of roof, walls and foundation Master seal HLM5000 or Make: STP/ Chemsol/ Bostik/Choksey. The single component solvent based polyurethane compound CORCHEM 2P or equivalent of STP/ Chemsol/ Bostik/ Choksey recommended to be used as a primer before application of coating.

M&L for providing and applying seamless Sikalastic®-590 IN, polyurethane liquid applied roof water proofing with improved water ponding capability, thermal insulating elastomeric high build liquid membrane for concrete roofs for exterior wall and exposed surface with solid content not less than 60% and Solar Reflectance Index 106 as per (ASTM E1980-19)/ tear strength ~20 N (mm (Free film, 14 days, + 300 C) (ASTM D624) and Tensile adhension strength -> 1.5 N/mm2 (ASTM D4541) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Make: STP/ Chemsol/ Choksey.

BONDING COAT: Providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of approved adhesive on chipped portion of RCC roof as per specifications and direction of Engineer-In-charge complete in all respect. SBR Polymer (@10% of cement weight) modified cementitious bond coat @ 2.2 kg cement per sqm of surface area mixed with specified proportion of approved polymer of Make: STP/ Chemsol/ Bostik/Choksey.

M&L for prepration of new surfaces and applying two coats of distempering with distemper oil emulsion complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for prepration of new surfaces and applying two coats of cement base paint over a coat of white wash on walls complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Demolition of unreinforced cement Concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for PCC (1:2:4) B-0 (using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate) as in levelling padding course over RCC roof surface including rounded or chamferred on edges etc., with approved water proofing compound all as per manufacturer's instructuions on the roof surface to achieve requisite slope all as specified and directed. (Note :- Supply only water proofing compound shall be measured & paid separately).

APP based polymeric membrane minimum weighing 3kg/sqm and minimum 3mm thick reinforced with polyster non wove fabric (wt. not less than 150 gms/sqm) land on primed surface by forced application complete all as specified. Before application following points should be adopted :- (a) Cleaning existing surface properly. (b) Apply oil bound bitumen primer @ 0.40 lit/Sqm manufactured by the same agency as that of APP with a density of 0.87 -0.89 Kg/Lit at 25 Degree Centigrade on the prepared dry roof surface. (c) Providing and Laying APP modified water proofing membrane reinforced with non wooven polyster matt with physical propertities as under :- (i) Membrane weight >3.6 Kg/Sqm. (ii) Net wooven polyster weight >160 gm/Sqm (iii) Softening point of membrane > 150o C
