a) Drilling bore hole in soil using hand auger in soil strata up to a depth of 6 mtr from GL including collection of disturbed/undisturbed soil core samples at various depths from GL as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. b) Conducting field investigations and relevant lab tests on soil sample as per relevant IS codes including mobilization and Demobilization of eqpt and man power. (c) Compilation of field tests and lab test results and submission of soil investigation report in quadruplicate consisting of :- (i) Introduction and object of investigation. (ii) Scope of work & project details. (iii) Field tests and lab tests including :- (a) Seive analysis (b) Attenberg's limit test (c) F.M.C (d) Bulk density (e) specific gravity (f) Shear test for cohesion and angle of shearing resistance (g) D.F.S test (iv) Suggestion for improvement of SBC (if any). (v) Settlement criteria / Calculation (vi) Incorporating type of soils (vii) Higher water table (viii) SBC recommendation at particular depth considering water table. (ix) Type of foundation to be adopted. (x) All test results bore log chart profile of logs (xi) Safe bearing capacity calculations at various depths. Note :- 1. Total no of bore hole = 1. 2. Maximum depth of bore hole = 05 mtrs. 3. Total depth of bore hole (5 x 1) = 05 Mtrs.

4. Rate includes all items of work necessary for carrying out complete soil exploration work, collection of sample, testing at laboratory and field test result and submission of reports (Four Set). 5. Rate includes for submission of detailed calculation of Net SBC at 1.50 / 2.00 / 2.50 /3.00 depth from shear as well as settlement criteria. For calculation formula given in IS 6403 shall be used. Type of foundation, depth of footing be clearly specified. 6. In case very weak soil strata is encountered, recommendation about pile foundation i.e. type, dia, depth of pile, safe load carrying capacity and socketing of pile into hard rock to be clearly given in the report. 7. Safe bearing capacity shall be worked out based on shear failure and settlement criteria. 8. Four sets of report with site plan showing cross reference to each soil investigation borehole test location should be submitted. All pages of report will be serially numbered, stamped and signed. 9. Analysis, Design and estimation including preparation of structural drawings as per the SBC obtained (Under SI No 1 above) for unit shops at Hebbal (As per the approval /Authorised plinth area attached as appx 'A') Note :- 1. Architechtural details showing building floor plan elevation (front, sides & rear) and schematic diagrams of E/M fittings and plumbing details (if any) should be prepared and approved by Engg-in -charge and user before anaysis and design of building. 2. The design has to be preferably done using standard software e.g. STAAD PRO or STRAO etc. 3. RCC/Steel structure shall be designed as per latest IS Codes. 4. Structural detailing indicating the layout of footing, column and framed structure should be done using autocad in suitable scale. 5. 04 Sets of auto cad drawings and one tracing in original should be submitted.
