MARKING AND PAINTING ON RUNWAY, SLAB CASTING, GRASS CUTTING, REPAIR TO WEEP HOLES AND GI WIRE UNDER AOR OF GE (AF) SRINAGAR

Deployment of T&P and labour for cutting and removing the grasses / vegetation growth / saplings etc. from the surrounding area of runway, taxi track and dispersals by using tractor equipped with jungle Jim and disposing off all the rubbish out of runway boundary complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Deployment of T&P and labour for grass cutting by manually or mechanically (Bush Cutter) on the both side of runway / PTT as per requirement basis and timing as directed, complete including taking out all necessary grass shurbs saplings wild bushes and any type of vegetation and removing out of runway boundary complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparation of old painted surface of concrete / bituminous pavement by brushing and applying one coat water based road marking paint (any Colour) in pattern of lines / arrows / letters etc. on road or pavements exc 10 cm width or girth, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer‐in‐Charge. Make: Apcotrak IS manufactured by Asian Paints or equivalent of make Jenson & Nicholson paints Pvt Ltd / Nerolac

M&L for preparation of old decorated surfaces of concrete pavement and applying one coat of white wash complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

M&L for preparation of old painted concrete / bituminous surfaces by brushing and applying one coats of synthetic enamel paint (any Colour) in pattern of lines / arrows / letters etc on road or pavements, width or girth exc 10 cm , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer‐in‐Charge.

Demolition of old PQC / concrete of any description and in any position not other wise specifically provided for and demolished material thrown out of runway premises complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

M&L for polythene film black 150 micron confirming to IS - 2508 laid in over sand cushioning all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for sand cushioning 10 mm thick over PCC surfaces , spread rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber as required.

M&L for PQC as in pavement / hard standing, not exceeding 250 mm thick of flexural strength 40 Kg / Sqcm with minimum cement content 400 Kg / cum or as per design mix which ever is high including necessary steel formwork complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Notes :- Construction joints, dummy (contraction joints) and expansion joints will be measured and paid separately under respective items of this schedule.

Deduction shall be made in computing concrete quantity for expansion joints.

No price adjustment shall be applicable if cement content more than specified above is used / approved in the execution of work under this item.

Finishing surfaces of concrete road, pavement etc by Floater & mechanical broom while concrete is green complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L forming 250 mm deep and 25 mm wide expansion joint filled with Compressive filler board HD-100, provision of closed cell polyurethane back up rod 30 mm and and sealed with pitch free polyurethane grey sealant compound ( minimum depth of sealant above back up rod shall be 12 mm) conforming to BS-5212 (type FB) priming the joint with N-49 primer as recommended by manufactures instructions and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top of the surface to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after the sealant is applied, complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in Charge.

M&L forming construction joint 10 mm wide and 30 mm deep with diamond cutter and provision of closed cell polyurethane back up rod 12 mm dia and sealing the joint (minimum 12 mm depth above back up rod ) with and including pitch free polyurethane sealant compound confirming to BS-5212 (Type FB), priming the side of joint with N-49 primer, as recommended by manufactures instructions and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top of the surface and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied, complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in Charge.

S&F in repair 4 mm dia galvanised steel wire rope 6 x 19, tensile strength 1770 N / Sqmm, minimum weight 160 kg / Sqmm, connected to hook fixed with "D" type locking arrangement etc, complete all as directed and specified. Make:- Usha martin or equvalent of make approved by GE

S&F in repair 500 mm long 75 mm outer dia PVC (SWR) Soil, waste and vent pipes, cut to size, connected with and including 1 Nos 75 mm bore PVC (SWR) bends of any radius, fixed to walls with existing pipe, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for cutting and racking out old sealing compound from the old joints 12 mm to 15 mm wide, cleaning with kerosene oil, drying with blow lamp, cleaning the joints portion thoroughly to ensure dust free using compressed air, trimming of edges of joints with diamond cutter and cleaning the joints for 40 mm, remove all dust / debris out of runway, placing closed cell Polyurethane backup rod up to 13 mm below from the top edge of joint, sealing the joints with pitch free Polyurethane grey sealing compound conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB), after applying a coat of N-49 primer to vertical surfaces of concrete which are in contact with the compound and finishing the joint properly leaving 3 mm gap from top surface of concrete applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top of the surface and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied, complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in Charge.

All as per item No 16 Above but 16 mm to 20 mm wide joint

M&L for Repair to pot holes pot hole of depth 15 to 20 mm of existing concrete slab, cleaning the pot hole thoroughly to ensure dust free using compressor air removing all dust / debris out of runway applying compound of hardener Aradur-140 and Araldite GY-257 primer in the ration of 1:2 by weight and filling the joint with epoxy mixture of Aradur-140, Araldite GY-257 and quartz sand & silicon flour mix No 10 in the ratio of 1:2:15 by weight and finishing the top surface smooth all as per manufacturers instructions and complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Compound mention above are of make Araldite, contractor may use similar compound manufacture by M/s Huntsman Advanced materials (India) Pvt Ltd or New gurbinder industries Ltd.
