M&L for removal of complaints of blockage in baths, kitchens, WCs and drainage systems, including traps/lines from trap up to the first manhole, cleaning of manholes where required, by deploying requisite manpower within the stipulated time from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM, and maintaining and updating proper records of completed and pending complaints, including status through SMS or manually, for OTM and Single Living Areas in Domestic Area and Jhopra Complex of AF Station Sirsa, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cleaning of choked/blocked sewer lines of 100 to 150 mm dia, at any depth and in any situation, between successive manholes, by rodding, flushing with water and/or other suitable methods, including working under foul conditions and restoring the system to functional condition, complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item no. 1.02 above but for sewage line of size 200 to 250 mm COMMON NOTES FOR ITEM NO 01 TO 03: (a) Any complaint under Item No. 1.01 not attended to and removed within one day shall attract recovery @ Rs. 50/- per day per complaint from the Contractor. (b) The Contractor shall mandatorily deploy a minimum of 02 Nos. Safaiwala/Mazdoor with requisite T&P, including cleaning rods, GI wire and other necessary tools, throughout the contract period for attending complaints under Item No. 1.01. Additional manpower and T&P, wherever required for execution of any BOQ item, shall be arranged by the Contractor at his own cost. The cost of such standing deployment shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates and no separate payment shall be made on this account. (c) Sludge, silt and other foul matter removed during execution of Item Nos. 1.01 to 1.03 shall not be left exposed at site. The same shall either be removed and disposed of outside the AF Area at an approved location or deposited in a suitable earth pit at a location approved by the Engineer-in-Charge and properly covered with earth, including spreading of adequate quantity of bleaching powder. The cost of removal, transportation, disposal, earthwork, covering, bleaching powder and all incidental works shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates, and no separate payment shall be made on this account.

Cleaning of manhole chamber of any size, up to a depth of 1.50 metre, each, manually or mechanically, including removal of manhole cover, taking out all muck / sludge / silt / mud / liquid, etc., under any position including foul conditions, and cleaning of inlet and outlet with water, placing back the manhole cover in position, and disposing the sludge/debris/rubbish by digging a suitable pit within MOD land, depositing the same therein and covering it properly with earth, including spreading adequate quantity of bleaching powder for disinfection complete all as specified and as directed. NOTES: The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of all aspects of disposal as specified above, and no claim shall be entertained at a later stage on this account.

All as per Item No. 04 above, but for manholes of depth exceeding 1.5 metre but not exceeding 3.0 metres.

Dewatering/desludging of soakage wells, of any capacity, depth, condition or location within AF area, by pumping out as required to keep the sewage system in order and to avoid any overflow of sewage, including pumping out and removal of accumulated water/sludge by means of mechanically operated honey sucker machine of minimum capacity 4,500 litres, fitted with minimum 25 metres long hose pipe, duly accompanied with operating and supervisory staff, including transportation and disposal of the sludge/foul water outside MOD/AF Station land, so as to keep the entire station area pollution-free, including lifting and re-installing of cover slabs, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE: An in-and-out register for the tankers shall be maintained, duly signed by the Contractor and Engineer-in-Charge or his authorised representative. One tanker trip shall comprise one complete deployment of the tanker from the AF area to the designated disposal point and back to the AF area, and shall be recorded as one trip in the register.

M&L for desilting/cleaning of septic tanks and the like, including removal of sludge, sludge water and solids mechanically by HCV-mounted suction/discharge machine having blow-back facility with sludge tank, including transportation and disposal thereof outside MOD/AF Station land including lifting and re-installing of cover slabs complete all as specified and directed. NOTE: Desilting/cleaning of each septic tank shall be carried out not more than TWICE during the entire Contract Period, at such intervals as considered necessary for adequate accumulation of sludge and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. COMMON NOTES FOR ITEM NO 06 AND 07: (1) The sludge/foul water/solids shall be taken out and transported for disposal outside MOD/AF Station land at STP Kelania (dumping point) or any other designated place as permitted by the State Government/Municipal Corporation. The Contractor shall acquaint himself with the location of the designated disposal facility and the distance involved before quoting his bid. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for compliance with all applicable rules and regulations relating to handling, transportation and disposal of sewage. No claim on this account shall be entertained during the currency of the work. (2) The suction/discharge machine shall be provided with a minimum 25 metres long hose pipe for suction of sewage/sludge from inaccessible soakage wells, septic tanks, manholes, sumps, etc., as required.

Demolition & breaking up Drain Pipe 150mm dia (Salt Glazed Ware, AC or Reinforced Concrete) set in Cement Mortar, alongwith concrete bedding and removing debris, etc. to Outside of MD/AF Land, complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: Earthwork will be measured seperately.

Supply and laying Reinforced Concrete Pipes 150mm (internal dia), Class NP-3, conforming to IS-458-2003, laid in Trenches on Concrete Bed, to required Slope, jointed with jute & cement mortar 1:1, complete with collars all specified and as directed. NOTE: Earthwork will be measured seperately.

M&L Cement Concrete 1:3:6 type C2 (40mm graded stone aggregate) as in Concrete Bed to Drain Pipes of 150mm bore (dia), including packing under, and haunching against the sides of pipes after they are laid and tested complete all as specified and as directed.
