Earthwork in excavation in foundation trenches or Drain in all sort of soil (including mixed soil but excluding laterite or stacking the spoils within a lead of 75m as directed.The item includs necessary trimming the sides of trenches.leveling dressing and ramming the bottom, bailing out watersandstonas required complete.

Weaving wire mattress as directed with wire of 4mm dia. and making sausage crate of required shape after tying all ntersections including joining longitudinal ends, closing ends of sausage, carriage of wire to site of work complete in all respect as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge including cost of supply of G.I. wire. (With 100mm x 100mm mesh.)

Filling properly the empty sausage crates with boulders of any size & shape with hand packing after preparation of bed of placement, placing the crate in position, carriage of boulders from road stacks with a lead upto 150m etc. complete in all respect including stitching the rest of the crate with wire (passage for filling boulders) after filling up the crate with boulders and launching the crate in position if necessary and as directed by the Engineer-in charge.

Back filling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete . B) Sandy material

Earth work in filling in compound, tank, low land, ditches etc. with good earth, in layers not exceeding 150 mm. including breaking clods and consolidating the same by ramming and dressing complete. (b) (i) With carried earth arranged by the contractor within a radius of 3 km. including cost of carried earth.
