PATCH REPAIRS AND SURFACE DRESSING TO ROADS AT ARAKKONAM

Repair to pot holes any depth, not exceeding 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in road, paths etc cutting around edges to atleast 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened and graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metals) complete all as specified and as directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 Sqm and depth exc 50 mm and n exc 100 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for wet mix macadem (WMM) 150 mm thick (compacted thickness) in two layers of 75 mm thick each with coarse aggregate of Basalt/Trap/granite of specified grading spread, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using mechanical paver and rolled to a uniform, smooth surface with power roller 8 to 12 tonne complete all as specified in MORTH specification and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Preparing dry surfaces of unsurfaced subbase by brushing with wire brushes or mechanical broom or high pressure air jet for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with cationic bitumen emulsion (RS-1) complying with IS 8887 @ 10kg/10sqm all as specified in MORTH Specification and as directed by Engr-in-Charge

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire burshes or mechanical broom or high pressure air jet for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with cationic bitumen emulsion (RS-1) complying with IS 8887 @ 5kg/10sqm all as specified and as directed. Note:- Work shall be carried out in small patches upto 500 Sqm Each

Material and labour for premix bituminous, macadam with 4% binder content (paving bitumen VG-30) by weight of total mix by hot mix process laid/ rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber consolidated thickness 75 mm or less complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Work will be carried out in small patches of different sizes upto 100 sqm area at different locations of station

Bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.50% binder content (paving bitumen VG-30) by weight of total mix by hot mix process laid and compacted to required camber and gradient using mechanical paver and rolled to a uniform, smooth surface with power roller 8 to 12 tonne complete all as specified and directed

Material and labour for applying 2.5 mm thick retro reflective painting of specified shade/ colour etc., either continous or broken lines, to the required width and lenth over the existing painted surface/new bitunimous surface with solvent based road marking paint (Retro reflective paint) Brand: Road King or equivalent brand approved by MORTH, IRTC and AAI including supply of paint material at the rate of 5 Kg per Sqm and glass beads at the of 0.35 Kg per Sqm (Reflective Index 1.5) using semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile show, glass bead dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater driven by experienced operator on road including all materials, labour, T & P and cleaning the road surface of dirt, seals, oil, gease and foreign materials etc., complete all as specified and as directed. (Note: Retro reflective paint shall be applied as per manufacturers instructions along with MORTH technology and speciality)

S & F in repairs Solar Road studs made up of highly compressive materials to sustain over 10 tonnes, water resistant Alluminium alloy and polycarbonates 125 x 125 x 20mm with 6 LED prismatic reflective lens on each side with stem fixing to road by hammering/embedding complete all as complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs, reflective cats eye with ABS material, body of size 100mm x 100mm, with honey comb patterned base, twin moulded shanks and two way retroreflective lenses, fixed with suitable adhesives on roads, complete all as specified and directed. (Make: Series 290 C/ 290CE of 3M or equivalent approved by GE)

Surface dressing not exc 15cm deep and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed

Material and labour for 75mm thickness (compacted thickness) moorum rolled by 8 to 12 ton roller and consolidated to gradient and camber required complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated material exc 250 m but not exc 500 m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point
